The Logistics Specialist position is required in order to facilitate the receipt, storage, and issuance of marketed product in a cGMP environment. Operating within a distribution center atmosphere facilitating receive, pick, pack and ship activities within the biotechnology industry.

Responsibilities:
• Accurately pick and pack marketed product against shipping orders.
• Using manual labor, pallet jacks, and powered industrial equipment (forklifts, walkie riders, turret trucks) move product and non-GMP supplies from storage areas and delivery trucks.
• Perform physical counts of product.
• Perform functionality/safety checks of equipment (i.e. forklifts).
• Access various databases and input data with a high level of accuracy.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Record creation, collection, and storage per corporate retention policy.
• Perform department related project activity that may include investigating, analyzing, formulating possible solutions, documenting processes, and communicating results.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Required:
• High school diploma or equivalent, and 5-6 years industry experience.
• Ability to follow detailed verbal and written instruction.
• Good basic mathematical skills.
• Proficiency with PC desktop applications and business operations software system (SAP)

**Job Duties could include** :
Planning
+ Manage demand planning meetings with internal business partners (Marketing, Finance, Business Analytics, Channel Strategy, etc.) gathering total demand for assigned responsibilities.
+ Partner with internal to review and streamline demand planning process.
+ Develop and manage product manufacturing and distribution plans for new (products that are in the pipeline), and existing products that provides continuous supply to customers, including international product.
+ Create and maintain replenishment plans for finished products of responsible territories and create replenishment orders to sites at the planning time fence.
+ Develop and implement safety stock with sufficient shelf-life in alignment with desired customer service levels to meet inventory objectives and targets.
+ Manage manufacturing plan communications with all internal and external parties.
+ Manage purchase order process and work with drug product plants and packaging CMO's to ensure product plan is executed on time.
+ Manage communications with interdisciplinary teams (Vendors, Channel Strategy, Global Product Quality, Quality Control, Finance, Legal, Packaging, etc.) to monitor process and provide feedback.
+ Manage exceptions raised against existing replenishment plans and work with third party suppliers or site production planners to negotiate resolution and adjust plans to reflect changes in demand and supply to ensure that adequate production takes place to meet market demands.

+ Address distribution issue escalations and manage resolutions with 3PL and/or internal teams.
+ Manage interfaces, transactions, and postings in ERP system.
+ Manage 3PL processes for inventory, returns and claims, recall activities and reporting, and product destructions.
+ Manage inventory reporting and communicate with appropriate parties.
+ Manage pick/pack/ship processes with 3PL ensuring full- and on-time delivery to meet targeted customer service level.
+ Manage packing instructions for new routes, shipping configurations and/or transportation methods together with packaging and quality teams.
+ Manage distribution state license submissions and renewals with Legal and processing vendor.
+ Manage international and intercompany order and shipment processes with customers and 3PL including shipping forecast, communications, documentation, and issue resolution.
+ Manage serialization program at 3PL and collaborate with related internal and external parties to comply with DSCSA requirements.
+ Manage distribution budget process, service PO's and invoices for 3PL and other vendors
+ Together with the Finance team, manage expense allocations, budget forecast, accruals, and other related activities.
Vendor Management
+ Lead Vendor/Supplier relationships for Contract Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Packaging, Distribution & Logistics vendors within the defined Tiers
+ Manage service agreements, product launches, business review meetings, performance metrics and audits in collaboration with internal functions (Finance, Channel Strategy/Trade, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Technical Operations, Clinical, Quality, IT, Legal, etc.)
+ Proactively monitor supply chain and packaging risks, capture and report supplier performance data to category manager
+ Develop ways of working and controls to improve processes and system efficiency while meeting compliance requirements.

+ Secures and analyzes vendor quotations

Overview:

The Logistics Coordinator provides overall direction throughout the Dedicated Fleet operation and provides operational assistance to the Project Manager wherever needed.

2nd Shift Available

Responsibilities:

• Maintains positive and encouraging working relations with all drivers
• Provides constant communications of service issues to appropriate personnel and departments, both internal (NFI) and external (Customer)
• Performs load planning, driver scheduling, and dispatch duties using both Dedicated Fleet and Common Carrier resources.
• Coordinates daily data entry into NFIs proprietary order-management-system, TMW.
• Coordinates with home-office invoicing team to ensure timely and accurate completion of weekly customer invoices
• Ensures accurate and timely completion of daily and weekly tasks
• Provides weekly KPI/performance data reports to both internal and external parties
• Coordinates daily on scheduling truck and trailer maintenance.
• Works with safety department on DriveCam, driver compliance and HOS issues
• Assists Project Manager with implementing NFIs Safety, Security and Labor policies
• Assists and provides coverage throughout departments during vacations, holidays if necessary
• Manages and maintains driver payroll
• Audits and approves driver expense reports
• Provides assistance to Project Manager wherever needed

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2-3 years experience in logistics and/or transportation
• Computer applications experience including MS Office and TMW strongly desired
• Excellent customer service, problem solving, communication and decision making skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently and multitask
• Ability and availability to work extended hours if necessary

**Technical Functions**
+ Maintain inventory within established specifications and in serviceable condition by following the appropriate procedure to exchange a broken tool, to request repairs, or to requisition additional supplies
+ Check items handled against requisitioning or accompanying forms to identify any apparent mishandling, discrepancy, or other error
+ Check tools for serviceability and expiration date
+ Count physical inventory, checking minimums and maximums
+ Identify objects by referring to parts catalogues, parts lists, location index, and company manuals
+ Inventory and warehouse supplies, including tools and materials
+ Issue items upon request to authorized personnel
+ Load and unload items
+ Pack and unpack items
+ Place discrepancy items into a special action holding area (SAD)
+ Receive and prepare parts and materials for shipment
+ Requisition parts and materials
+ Set up stock room/inventory facilities (e.g., determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location)
+ Sort non-serviceable items into salvage or scrap bins according to their condition
+ Stock and retrieve items according to company, fire safety, and "good housekeeping" regulations and practices
+ Visually inspect items for defects, damage, or wear
+ Complete proper paperwork to loan, borrow, or buy parts from other airlines
+ Correct routine errors related to requisitioning and its accompanying forms
+ Exchange information with Inventory Records personnel
+ Give data on stock to Company personnel
+ Provide support to management in the completion of audits, as needed
+ Read and understand materials, such as FAA/OSHA regulations and packaging instructions for shipping out dangerous goods
+ Report any discrepancies to Crew Chief or supervisor
+ Report overdue items and shortages to Crew Chief or supervisor
+ Drive motor vehicles and other stores equipment
+ Obtain certification on and drive a forklift
+ Operate storage equipment (e.g., parts chaser, tricycles, and other carts) in a safe manner
+ Pick-up and deliver parts and materials to designated locations
+ Use handhelds (e.g., iPads, scanners) to confirm receipt of company materials
+ Use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) to perform work (e.g., harnesses or seatbelts)
+ Use various tools (e.g., hammer, pliers, screwdriver, drill)
**MLS General Functions**
+ Perform general housekeeping in work area
+ Handle hazardous materials
+ Sign for the quality of own work
+ Maintain knowledge of and work with manuals, supply/parts catalogs, electronics parts tracking systems, and other parts ordering devices
+ Maintain knowledge of tool Inventory and control systems, tool checkout, including shelf-life items and certification records
+ Maintain security clearance, driver's license, and Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge

**Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience**
+ High School diploma or GED.
+ Valid driver's license.
+ Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language or language native to geographical location.
+ Applicants must have either successfully completed two years (equivalent) of college or have received a certificate from an acceptable trade/technical school or must have twelve (12) or more months of acceptable experience in a general warehouse or similar type supply function involving receiving, shipping and binning material by parts and serial number.
+ Successful completion of all required qualifying tests; including hazardous material handling.
+ Read and write legibly to complete forms and/or acknowledge messages, as well as identify Company part numbers, invoice, bill of lading, and shipper numbers, as required.
+ Ability to distinguish colors.
+ Use simple arithmetic (Addition and subtraction of six-digit numbers)
+ Must have knowledge of and the ability to use basic computer skills.
+ Expected to meet all qualifications as designated in the Material Process Specification Manual (MPSM) and satisfactorily demonstrate qualifications by successfully completing the applicable test(s) prior to the expiration of the probationary period.
+ Must be willing to work outdoors in any weather conditions in accordance with Company Safety Guidelines.
+ Must be willing to work extra hours when there are operational needs, such as weather delays.
+ Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays, and days off.
