Penske Logistics is seeking a proven leader with relevant experience and skills to join our team of logistics professionals. We are seeking a candidate to provide leadership at one of our warehousing operations.
The Operations Supervisor provides direction at a single location, leading staff to ensure customer requirements are achieved while meeting our Penske goals and objectives.
In this role, Operations Supervisors will be bonus eligible based on their performance and location performance. Operations Supervisor could earn up to 12% of their base for Max Performance.
**Position Summary:**
Provide operational leadership to individual contributors and hourly workforce to ensure the execution of daily tasks and activities including, loading/unloading of trailers, cross-docking, and customer service operations in a manner consistent with company services and cost objectives. Supervise most processes directly including workforce and equipment scheduling. Responsible for making corrective action and disciplinary decisions up to written warning level. Involved in the hiring process and customer meetings as necessary.
**Shift** : The hours are Friday, Saturday, Sunday 6:00 pm-6:00 am. Leadership members are to be present 30 minutes prior to the start of shift and may have to work on off shift as needed. Flexibility required around the peak season, holiday, short staffed, and business needs.
**Salary:** $54,900 - $72,700; In this role, Operations Supervisor will be bonus eligible based on their performance and location performance. Operations Supervisor could earn up to 12% of their base for Max Performance.
**Major Responsibilities:**
**People**
- Establish and sustain that all supervisors and associates are trained and competent and understand how their work relates to the customers' business objectives
- Establish and sustain that performance standards are communicated that are specific and measurable
- Interview hourly associates and provide recommendations for hire
- Monitor attendance, productivity, and other performance standards and provide coaching and counseling to associates
- Motivate and engage associates by focusing on team accomplishments and recognition
**Operations**
- Supervise logistics operations including customer service, freight loading and unloading, dispatch and proper documentation and procedure control
- Conduct team meetings
- Evaluate and recommend changes in preferred work methods to increase productivity of warehouse operations. Assist in new associate training
- Provide relief coverage for operational duties when associates utilize time-off or are absent from the shift
- Have a thorough working knowledge of the site's operating systems in order to ensure operational compliance and correct exception resolution
- Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate fashion
**Finance**
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures such as, inventory accuracy and control, returns, damages, etc.
- Understand the relationship between decision-making and profitability
- Closely manage associates' working hours and activities to minimize overtime and to meet or exceed productivity targets
**Safety**
- Ensure day-to-day management and associate activities are in alignment with the location safety strategy
- Provide associates with communication, training, feedback, and direction to ensure safe performance
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies and company policies and procedures
- Conduct safety observations
**Growth/Customer Experience**
- Understand the location-specific customer goals & objectives and work to meet and exceed these expectations daily

- Properly plan work assignments to ensure effective use of warehouse equipment
- Work with hourly associates to ensure they understand safe and efficient operation of equipment

**Qualifications:**
- 2 - 4 years related functional experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Strong written/oral communication skills and the ability to actively listen are required
- Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required
- Must demonstrate ownership & responsibility to run the operation with a sense of urgency
- Must have ability to connect and build rapport/relationships with associates and external customers at all levels
- Must have ability to work efficiently with time management and organizational skills
- Ability to manage through a problem and think and make decisions independently

- Experience with inventory management system preferred

  • Create customer invoices and audit carrier invoices that relate to assigned accounts and provide metric analysis/support for those accounts.
  • Work to gain knowledge and understanding of TMS brokerage functionality and support all accounting-based solutions such as carrier payment, customer invoicing, reconciliation and claims support, as directed.
  • Support all other activities as assigned by the Sz15 Senior Logistics Manager or Transportation Manager.

  • Lead Technical SME for systems, services and applications ranging from simple to most complex for an identified functional area.

    • Resource management allocation and budget management associated with assigned project delivery in coordination with the PMO

The **(WMS Superuser) Manager Logistics** is responsible to manage all activities associated with the efficient operation of accounts. This includes P&L responsibility, ensuring customer satisfaction, compliance, employee relations and safety.

The Operations Integration team is seeking a detail-oriented, forward-thinking, and self-driven Data Product Manager that will support the organization by enabling and continuously improving the data that is captured and extracted from the organization's warehouse management and inventory allocation systems that act as the source of truth for financial, environmental, sustainability, regulatory, and operational reporting.
Activities that drive this role include 1) defining requirements, documenting and driving alignment/approval between software and data engineers, product managers, data analysts, and business stakeholders (e.g. operations, environmental, legal) for new feature or updated reporting capabilities, 2) coordinating between engineering resources to drive prioritization, development, and implementation for new reporting mechanisms, 3) conducting data validations and performing user acceptance testing for new reporting mechanisms under development, driving and documenting iterative improvements through implementation, 4) preparing and driving training events to prepare stakeholders for new reporting capabilities, 5) conducting post-implementation data validations to ensure final product accuracy before product hand-off to Data Steward, 6) developing and maintaining organization data table libraries and policies, and 7) facilitating data migrations as-needed to retrofit old reporting with new standards.
This role will frequently interface with the team's 3P software provider to accomplish these tasks throughout pre-planned Agile sprint cycles, releasing new reporting capabilities to production almost every sprint! This role is critical then to the organization in that it ensures that the business can tell its stories (currently supported by 70+ data tables capturing millions of transactions per month, 15+ manual extracts, and two in-application search engines), and that the broader team knows how to read/interpret them as the business grows over time.
Key job responsibilities
-Collaborating closely with data consumers and stakeholders across the organization and service providers to define and drive alignment for new/updated reporting capabilities
-Developing supporting documents (e.g. data flow diagrams, sample data files, schemas, business requirement documents) that specify design features and logic, as well as un/happy path expectations to drive feature development
-Preparing positive and negative new feature test scenarios and facilitating acceptance testing to ensure new feature quality in test environments, documenting acceptance test KPIs to drive internal metrics
-Planning and executing stakeholder training events to ensure successful rollout and adoption upon implementation
-Conducting post-launch validations and refinement (as needed) to ensure final product accuracy and drive last-mile adoption
-Managing ticket queues, prioritization, and tradeoffs for strategic data developments, ensuring stakeholders are always synchronized in developing the next big thing
-Conduct regular data warehouse and organizational reporting research, present findings to identify areas to continuously improve reporting capabilities
-Executing data migration/update strategies to transition between previous and new reporting solutions
-Maintaining data warehouse/library resources and policies

Re:Cycle Reverse Logistics offers worldwide cloud providers a means to disassemble, sort, test, in-warranty return, repair/refurbish, erase/wipe, and disposition server and networking assets that break or are no longer needed. Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years of data enablement, data engineering, data management, or related experience in a warehousing, supply chain, manufacturing, or reverse logistics environment
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related, or 4+ additional years of related experience in lieu of a degree
- 2+ years with one or more query language (e.g., SQL, PL/SQL, DDL, MDX, HiveQL)
- 2+ years using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience planning and developing end-to-end systems data architecture and/or reporting solutions
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and/or building ETL pipelines using AWS cloud tools
- Experience using data visualization tools (Tableau, Quicksite, etc.) in developing insightful dashboards to share data with a variety of stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a keen eye for details
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to translate complex problems and design solutions using non-technical terms
