**Main Ingredients o** **f the Job**
As a **US FOODS®** **Logistics Truck Driver,** you will be operating a tractor-trailer traveling Over The Road, across the country to 3-7 Vendors and **US FOODS®** distribution centers throughout the week to pick up and drop off bulk products. Our **Logistics Truck Drivers** will be driving 1800 to 3400 miles per week **focused on** safety. Your efforts are the foundation that defines **US FOODS®** success based on our pillars of cultural beliefs, work ethic, collaborative spirit, and service?
+ Perform all pre-trip responsibilities including the inspection of the truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation regulations. Check accident kit.
+ Deliver products to multiple centers in a timely and safe manner.
+ Verify freight on truck and required trailer temperatures.
+ Verify proper invoices and properly enter required information into Xata or other on-board computer system. Complete logs and manifest(s).
+ Visually survey Vendor and Company distribution centers during the approach to determine hazards.
+ Perform all post-trip responsibilities: perform safety checks on the vehicle; fuel; unhook and secure trailer; park and secure tractor and hand truck; complete Department of Transportation (DOT) logs (electronic or manual as required) and company vehicle maintenance reports (DVIR) and reconcile these with the appropriate company representative as required.
**What You Bring to the Table**
+ Must be at least 21 years of age.
+ Minimum 1 year over the road commercial driving experience or six months with a beverage delivery company or as a foodservice delivery representative required.
+ Must not have more than two convictions in the past two year period for moving traffic violations; not have a DUI conviction in the past three years (regardless of type of vehicle operated); not have driver's license suspended for traffic violations with the past three years.
+ High School Diploma/GED preferred, however, must be able to read, write and communicate in English as it relates to the job and to the safety regulations.
+ Must have basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
+ Must have a valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL), class A, issued by state of legal residence. Must meet the medical requirements of the Department of Transportation (DOT).
+ Must be willing to work flexible hours.
**Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:**
+ Must be able to use, or learn to use, all equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) i.e. XATA, and tools used to perform the job. Must know/have ability to learn MSDS information regarding all material used within the scope of the work. Must be able to apply tire chains. Must be able to perform coupling procedures (drop and hook). Must possess customer service skills.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $75,00 and 100,000.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead with a safety mindset that ensures that every US Foods associate, our customers, and the general public with whom our drivers interact remain injury free, always. Champion safety procedures, processes and training to create and maintain a safety-first culture in the Transportation department.
Oversee and develop drivers and Transportation associates through one-on-one coaching, training on policy and procedures, assisting in problem resolution when required, and leading by example. Ensure all drivers and other Transportation department associates are appropriately trained in job duties as well as safety and legal responsibilities.
Oversee and develop drivers and Transportation associates by discussing performance with Sr. Transportation Managers and creating plans to address gaps.
Create an atmosphere in which upward communication is encouraged, and motivate associates to achieve department goals and objectives.
Direct and supervise the work and productivity of drivers and clerical associates within the Transportation department. Drive associate engagement and retention, and create a culture that embodies US Foods values.
Build high-performing teams by participating in interviewing and hiring Transportation personnel, in conjunction with Sr. Transportation Managers. Review performance, coach on service and safety targets, and deliver disciplinary action.
Monitor production goals and maintain a zero-error attitude to ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction. Anticipate, analyze and troubleshoot problems with deliveries and devise cost-effective and legal solutions; act to implement same. Ensure team understands and adheres to DOT regulations.
Identify and stop waste, and improve processes to complete work more safely and efficiently.
Conduct routine Safety and Driver Meetings.
Oversee maintenance of driver qualification files.
Investigate all accidents, maintain an accident file, track causes and take appropriate preventative action.

Effectively schedule working shifts by leveraging appropriate planning tools (i.e., Microsoft Excel)
Other duties assigned by manager.

Direct: Union and/or non-union Drivers

RELATIONSHIPS
Internal: Transportation leaders and coworkers; Drivers; Warehouse leaders; Internal customers across departments (e.g., Sales)
External: Customers

WORK ENVIRONMENT
May spend significant amount of time on the road. Must spend portion of working time in a truck with drivers, exposed to noise and vibration levels which may be higher than those typically experienced in passenger cars. Will spend time in an office working on a computer.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Related Experience/Requirements:
Minimum of three years of experience in transportation/delivery or warehouse distribution required.
Minimum of one year of experience overseeing a workforce required.
Experience as a driver a plus.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Broad knowledge of transportation/delivery operations, methods and procedures.
Strong leadership, communication and people development skills.
Strong understanding of DOT requirements. Familiarity with inventory control, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements.
Ability to interpret financial and operational data.
Basic computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Office).

Travel:

10% travel required, typically for mandatory meetings and/or training. ?

High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $55,000-$90,000.

This role is also eligible for an annual incentive plan bonus.

The Position
Serve as key member of logistics, with a focus in importing, exporting & shipping. Drive stakeholder management through process improvements, data analytics and assuring timely customs clearances. The Position

Secure supply of components produced by contract manufacturers located in the US for further production in the Novo Nordisk supply chain. Ensure supply chain understanding of how our contract manufacturer products link into the overall Novo Nordisk processes to ensure decisions are based on holistic supply chain assessment. Knowledgeable of supply & demand planning, supply chain management and SAP interfaces and a keen interest in ensuring supply of product to Novo Nordisk patients.

Reports to Associate Manager/Manager/Senior Manager.

Essential Functions
  • Purchase planning and coordination with US contract manufacturers to ensure a timely and balanced purchase plan in the short-term horizon (0-12 months), along with following up on purchase orders, delivery dates, and volumes through frequent calls with the contract manufacturer
  • Establish and maintain operational safety stock levels related to the agreed service level towards US assembly sites. Monitor the inventory levels and resolve on imbalances
  • Conduct effectively weekly coordination with GBS DPS and MPS planners on demand outlook
  • Align optimized sourcing plan towards the assembly site under guidance of network planner
  • Manage inbound flow including handling, reviewing, and approving towards internal and external warehouses and production sites within FPM and External Supply
  • Plan and execute prioritization of sampling and QC analysis of delivered orders according to criticality
  • Manage forecast and operational scrap process to ensure right provisions are made, extensions are initiated, and physical scrap is handled
  • Oversee Shipping process in collaboration with contract manufacturer, NN stakeholders and assigned forwarder
  • Maintain high level of system accuracy of master data, transactional data and BoM
  • Maintain effective relationship and coordination with internal GCMD areas, global supply chain and SC planning functions as well as downstream internal and external production sites within FPM
  • Actively participate in Operational Business Reviews (OBR) in collaboration with operational manager for contract manufacturer oversight
  • Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties
  • Other accountabilities as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or relevant field of study from an accredited university required or equivalent combination of education & experience
  • May consider an Associate's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or relevant field of study from an accredited university with a minimum of five (5) years progressively responsible experience in supply chain planning required
  • May consider a High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of seven (7) years progressively responsible experience in supply chain planning required

The Position
Secure supply of components produced by contract manufacturers located in the US for further production in the Novo Nordisk supply chain. Ensure supply chain understanding of how our contract manufacturer products link into the overall Novo Nordisk processes to ensure decisions are based on holistic supply chain assessment. Knowledgeable of supply & demand planning, supply chain management and SAP interfaces and a keen interest in ensuring supply of product to Novo Nordisk patients.
Relationships
Reports to Associate Manager/Manager/Senior Manager.
Essential Functions
+ Purchase planning and coordination with US contract manufacturers to ensure a timely and balanced purchase plan in the short-term horizon (0-12 months), along with following up on purchase orders, delivery dates, and volumes through frequent calls with the contract manufacturer
+ Establish and maintain operational safety stock levels related to the agreed service level towards US assembly sites. Monitor the inventory levels and resolve on imbalances
+ Conduct effectively weekly coordination with GBS DPS and MPS planners on demand outlook
+ Align optimized sourcing plan towards the assembly site under guidance of network planner
+ Manage inbound flow including handling, reviewing, and approving towards internal and external warehouses and production sites within FPM and External Supply
+ Plan and execute prioritization of sampling and QC analysis of delivered orders according to criticality
+ Manage forecast and operational scrap process to ensure right provisions are made, extensions are initiated, and physical scrap is handled
+ Oversee Shipping process in collaboration with contract manufacturer, NN stakeholders and assigned forwarder
+ Maintain high level of system accuracy of master data, transactional data and BoM
+ Maintain effective relationship and coordination with internal GCMD areas, global supply chain and SC planning functions as well as downstream internal and external production sites within FPM
+ Actively participate in Operational Business Reviews (OBR) in collaboration with operational manager for contract manufacturer oversight
+ Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties
+ Other accountabilities as assigned
Physical Requirements
Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time. (% can change on a case-by-case basis based on the role.)
Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or relevant field of study from an accredited university required or equivalent combination of education & experience
+ May consider an Associate's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or relevant field of study from an accredited university with a minimum of five (5) years progressively responsible experience in supply chain planning required
+ May consider a High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of seven (7) years progressively responsible experience in supply chain planning required
+ Minimum of three (3) years progressively responsible experience in supply chain planning required
+ Professional Certification through APICS (CSCP or CPIM) or ISM (CPSCM) preferred
+ Experience in one or more of the following areas required
+ Supply Planning
+ Demand Planning
+ Supply Chain Management
+ Pharmaceutical or other FDA regulated industry
+ Demonstrated experience with supply/demand planning, purchase and production planning required
+ Demonstrated experience with planning systems i.e. SAP ECC/APO, Tableau, Scenario based planning tools required
+ Knowledge within systematic problem solving & acumen for process optimization plus
+ Sold analytical skills preferred
+ Ability to identify solutions that are robust & will ensure the correct quality level preferred
+ Excellent proficiency in communication skills; both written & verbal required
+ Demonstrate action-oriented behaviors required
+ Collaboration with colleagues & stakeholders across functions & departments required
+ Work in structured manner & take ownership of assignments required
+ Result-oriented & take pride in delivering on milestones preferred
