Logistics Associate

Shift Details:

1 worker needed for Monday - Friday: 9:00 am - 5:30 pm

1 worker needed for Tuesday - Saturday: 10:00 am - 6:30 pm

Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

Other Details:

Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred! Excellent and clear communication skills. Be able to work as a team and hold drivers accountable. A good listener who can navigate policy and empathy.

As a Specialist, Logistics, you will be responsible for providing logistics support, including order entry, routing and dispatching, and traffic coordination.

What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like:

  • Maintain customer profile information and enter loads from customer tenders into the Freight Optimizer system
  • Update account managers on problem loads and what actions have been taken; update receivers and customers on status of loads
  • Monitor daily pick-ups and deliveries; verify that loads have arrived on time and in good condition
  • Take check calls from drivers, ensuring that loads will deliver on time; validate all load data prior to marking loads delivered, for accounting purposes
  • Investigate product overages, shortages, damages, and complete appropriate documentation
  • Schedule and reschedule delivery appointments for all loads; accept or decline loads based on direction from account managers
  • Provide detailed directions and instructions to properly route drivers

What You'll Need To Excel:

At a minimum, you'll need:

  • 1 year of logistics experience
  • General knowledge of the transportation industry

It'd be great if you also have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience writing routine reports and correspondence
  • The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal or diagram form

Pay Details:

$18.00 per hour

Logistics Manager

This position ensures that all production units at the site receive all required Logistics services in an efficient and cost-effective manner. This position places equal priorities on safety, quality, and protection of the environment. This position is accountable for long term strategic planning and for meeting the site's long term Logistics infrastructure goals. This position is also responsible for implementing new technologies and for achieving continuous improvement and serves as an ambassador to the region and the global BU LO group on global projects and initiatives.

Oversees all site logistics operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of services to production units, with equal emphasis on safety, quality, and environmental protection. Leads long-term logistics infrastructure planning, continuous improvement, and implementation of new technologies while serving as a key liaison for regional and global supply chain initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage daily logistics operations including rail, truck, barge, container, and warehouse activities.
  • Oversee onsite and contract warehouses, regulatory records, logistics equipment, and customer documentation.
  • Develop and execute 35-year logistics infrastructure and improvement plans, including capital projects.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT, FRA, IATA, IMDG, and ISO standards; lead safety, quality, environmental, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Introduce new technologies and best practices from global sites to the NAFTA region and vice versa.
  • Build and lead a high-performing logistics team through hiring, training, performance management, and development.
  • Negotiate contracts for packaging, materials, equipment, and services.
  • Participate in NAFTA supply chain strategy and improvement teams.
  • Manage a $7.8M annual fixed operating budget and capital projects of $M 5M annually.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, or Supply Chain/Logistics (advanced degree preferred).
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain (preferably in chemical manufacturing).
  • At least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Expertise in continuous improvement and regulatory compliance for hazardous and non-hazardous chemical transport (DOT, FRA, IATA, IMDG, GHS).
  • Proficiency with SAP logistics applications.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills with ability to lead cross-functional/global teams.

JOB DUTIES/FUNCTIONS

  • Support the Army Aviation as the action officer and subject matter expert for Basis of Issue Plan Feeder Data (BOIPFD) and Basis of Issue Plan (BOIP) amendments, provide support, guidance, and training to government personnel.
  • Support milestone activities including review of documentation and participation in weapon system BOIP development.
  • Effectively use oral and written communication to brief recommendations to senior logisticians, management, the PM, PEO leadership, and higher headquarters (as required) in support of BOIP development.
  • Participate in related Integrated Product Teams to include areas focused on BOIP development.
  • Review Line Item Number (LIN) validation requests for the Apache platforms, submitted by Headquarters Department of the Army (HQDA) G-3/5/7, to ensure the item is still valid, has a valid BOIP and is still being used by the Army.
  • Analyze and assess statement of work (SOW) packages and provide comments to proposals for contract submission.
  • Develop Logistics Integrated Product Support (IPS) training packages to provide overview training to personnel within the Apache Product Office and other functional areas across the Program Executive Office (PEO).
  • Communicate BOIPFD/BOIPs, for review, with Force Modernization Agency at Ft. Leavenworth, the Capability Developer and the System Maintenance Support Proponent at Ft. Novosel and the Life Cycle Management Command (LCMC) approvers for pre-staffing to HQDA.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Secret clearance required
  • BS/BA with a minimum of 15 years of related experience OR High School diploma and 19 years of experience
  • Familiarity with Acquisition Logistics and IPS standards, regulations, policies, procedures, processes, techniques, and organizations
  • Material Developer experience with Cloud Equipping (cQuiP) database entry
  • Experience with Army Enterprise Systems Integration Program (AESIP)
  • Experience with i2Log
  • Experience with pre-staffing BOIPFD and BOIPs
  • Experience working with TRADOC, ACM-RA Capability Development, USAFMSA, and ASA(ALT), System Maintenance Support Proponent at OPFD
  • Knowledge and experience managing, planning, and executing complex projects
  • Work effectively with others and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong skills in interpersonal relations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
