Job Overview

The Product Manager - Supply Chain & Logistics will play a key role in defining, building, and enhancing logistics and warehousing product capabilities across the Americas region. This role will collaborate closely with sales, operations, and product teams at headquarters to develop competitive logistics products , enhance user experiences, and ensure our product offerings align with both customer needs and evolving market trends .
Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct regular research on local logistics and warehousing & distribution industry trends in the Americas, including customer demands and competitive analysis, ensuring our product strategy aligns with market needs and company goals .
  2. Own the end-to-end product lifecycle management for logistics and warehousing & distribution products. Collect and prioritize product requirements, write detailed Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), and define product features and user experience requirements covering warehousing management, inventory control, order processing, transportation, and distribution.
  3. Collaborate with the headquarters supply chain product team to participate in product design, development, testing, and go-to-market processes. Ensure on-time delivery and high-quality releases. After launch, continuously track performance, gather user feedback, and analyze data to enhance product features and optimize performance.
  4. Work closely with sales, operations, procurement, and other business teams to understand operational pain points and identify opportunities to enhance the adoption and effectiveness of logistics products, ultimately driving business growth.
  5. Monitor industry innovations and competitor products , analyze market data to uncover potential product gaps, and propose innovative enhancements such as new automation technologies or advanced route planning algorithms.
  6. Stay up to date with emerging technologies in the supply chain space (e.g., automation, big data, AI) and explore ways to apply them to enhance product competitiveness.
Qualifications
  1. Extensive experience in logistics operations, product management, or solution design , with a proven ability to design and deliver logistics products .
  2. Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills .
  3. Familiarity with international logistics, warehousing, and distribution operations in the Americas is preferred.

Position Summary
Client is seeking a dynamic individual to join a motivated team of materials management and supply chain professionals. This individual is expected to efficiently support the supply chain management software application functions, data management and sources, testing of new technology, assist with data migration and correction, and support activities related to the integration of supply chain management information systems. The Analyst, Supply Chain Management & System will be responsible for the supporting all supply chain management system that activities start from raw materials to the final drug product.

Key Responsibilities
• Joining a team of highly qualified materials management and supply chain professionals, this individual will be responsible for supporting the supply chain management process, systems, and software functions for MRP, ERP, data sources, testing, integrations, reporting, analytics, and more within the cell therapy network. The support includes, but is not limited to, working with supply chain leadership to identify requirements and develop effective solutions to meet these requirements following standard implementation testing and deployment of guidelines.
• Configure and optimize systems to meet business requirements, ensuring proper alignment with organizational objectives. Configure and refine business processes within systems, aligning them with industry best practices and organizational needs.
• Develop a variety of reports, exports, dashboards, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), ensuring comprehensive data visualization and analysis capabilities. Assess the existing reporting requirements to appropriately prioritize and streamline the development of reports.
• Implement system enhancements and fixes, following standard project implementation guidelines and testing and deployment standards. Investigate and research system-related issues, identifying root causes and proposing effective solutions to enhance system performance.

Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in applied science.
• 2+ years relevant experience.
• 1+ years' relevant experience with materials management and/or supply planning within cGMP operations in matrixed organization with multi-level setup
• Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment with a positive attitude that is willing to assist other areas of the organization.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong focus and attention to detail.
• Demonstrate ability to handle multiple tasks at one time and maintain a strong attention to detail.
• APICS certification is a plus
• Proficiency in ERP and systems (I.e., Oracle, SAP, QAD)

You will develop forecasts for one or more product categories, leveraging market intelligence, sales trends, and statistical models to create accurate and consensus-driven forecasts.

Planning:

  • Develop and send monthly service parts forecasts to factory suppliers.
  • Collaborate with the Product Management team to gather market intelligence, product road maps, and end-of-life information.
  • Analyze historical data and trends, performing history cleanups as necessary to aid in forecasting, initial guidance orders, end-of-life planning, and scrapping.
  • Evaluate statistical forecasts and adjust tuning parameters on the model as needed.
  • Work with various stakeholders to finalize a consensus forecast.
  • Oversee and manage backorders, ensuring timely fulfillment and communication with customers regarding expected delivery dates.
  • Measure forecast accuracy and bias and implement methods to improve these key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Facilitate the creation of a forecast to serve as the business plan.
  • Oversee and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability, minimize excess inventory, and coordinate with suppliers for timely replenishment.
  • Oversee the process of scrapping obsolete or damaged inventory, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and manage final buy plans to ensure the availability of critical components and materials before discontinuation, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to meet demand.
  • Coordinate with Service warehouse teams and vendors on estimated times of arrival (ETAs).

Vendor Management:

  • Collaborate with factory and vendors to secure inventory, confirm delivery dates, and quantities.
  • Monitor the status of shipments and collaborate with the logistics team to address and resolve any delays promptly.
  • Update inventory receipts in SAP in coordination with the Inventory Accounting team.
  • Resolve any invoicing issues by liaising with vendors.

Process Improvement Initiatives:

  • Establish and integrate new demand planning techniques within your categories.
  • Explore and utilize advanced functionalities within current demand planning systems to enhance forecast accuracy.
  • Analyze existing processes to identify manual tasks that can be automated and develop and implement plans to improve overall efficiency and reduce internal costs.
  • Propose and implement process changes to enhance the customer experience for parties purchasing products from Panasonic.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implements the strategy to provide the materials and services to meet organizational requirements for quality, volume, availability, and pricing.

  • Resolves billing and shipping issues with Accounting and provides feedback to suppliers.
  • Qualifies suppliers and maintains Approved Supplier List. Creates Master Vendor files in MRP.
  • Represents company interests internally and externally in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Proposes potential enhancements to relevant systems as they are realized and when appropriate.
  • Searches for, identifies, and presents cost-saving opportunities.
  • Works independently and in teams.
  • Maintains accurate, detailed records and/or company files.

Supply Chain BuyerWhippany Actuation Systems, a fast-paced and innovative aerospace manufacturer specializing in electromechanical actuators for both commercial and military applications, is seeking a results-driven and growth-oriented individual to join our purchasing department as our newest Supply Chain Buyer. Their primary focus will be to manage supplier relationships and coordinate the procurement of materials, components, and services for the facility. In this demanding role, they will monitor, plan, and ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of supplies and materials. They will also support new product development and implementation initiatives utilizing project management techniques and lead strategic projects supporting new business initiatives.In this role, you would typically: Achieve the lowest possible cost for material, balanced against optimum quality and schedule needs. Solicit and evaluate proposals employing appropriate negotiation, cost and price analysis techniques to achieve the lowest possible cost for material, balanced against optimum quality and schedule needs. Evaluate current and anticipated requirements using ERP/MRP action plans and reports. Implement purchase contracts with sound purchasing practices and ensure compliance with the acquisition of material or service that meet applicable company and government regulations. Support new product introduction/development to ensure Sourcing provides the best possible solution. Work closely with Program Management, Operations, Engineering and Quality staff to ensure production schedules are met to achieve customer on-time deliveries. Manage all Purchase Order (PO) activities such as: PO creation, PO changes, Vendor Return Material Authorizations (VRMA), Return to Vendor (RTV), and Invoice issues. Support the Purchasing department and management with special projects and assignments. We require: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in a Purchasing role). Relevant experience through internships, co-op programs, or other professional office settings. Experience in a manufacturing environment. The ability to travel up to 5%.
