Analyst II Outbound Logistics

What You'll be Trusted to Deliver:
• Responsible for managing the daily Workflow process as it relates to the Warehouse Management Systems, Outbound routing package and Ordering Entry Systems as well as acts as a liaison to the IT Department. Coordinates the workflow requirements with business partners.
• Ensures total customer service satisfaction with Retail, Merchandising, Trucking, Vendors and Partner Providers
• Communicates with Demand management team as necessary to resolve any retail ordering issues
• Will assist in training new associates in WMS, ITM and Order Entry activities and systems hardware troubleshooting
• Responsible for evaluating and recommending modifications to procedures or processes impacting their workflow or team
• Be able to handle day to day problems associated with the flow of orders, system issues, emergency situations with a DC facility or stores
• Act as the technical resource within their area of responsibility
• Contribute to writing Standard Operating Procedure manuals for all tasks

Working Schedule:
• Hybrid: 3 days in office (working hours).
• Second Shift: 12:00 pm to 10:30 pm.
• Rotating Weekend Shift

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
• Familialarity with the following computer programs: SEGA, WMS, TLM, Excel.
• Collaboration experience with vendors, transportation providers, & third-party consultants Knowledge:
• Basic knowledge of the trucking industry, distribution, and/or replenishment functions
• Basic professional level of knowledge for company, business and industry practices

Job Description: This position leads the continuous Improvement strategy from tendering to delivery and animates continuous improvement on operational processes in plant based on Schneider Performance by managing the plant Value Stream Mapping and lead the continuous improvement of Product Lead Time by animating transversal actions plan at plant level and ensuring the implementation of the concept of green/red, principles of SPS, architecture lines, Short Interval Management, Material Providing & Handling. This position fulfills these responsibilities by performing the following day-to-day duties: Challenge, follow Kaizen events and in some cases lead some of them; Lead the deployment of the smart factory solutions in plant; Define yearly actions plan to build the productivity and follow productivity action plan and ensure achievement of the Direct Labor Productivity target; Report the Direct Labor Productivity to support functions by using standard tool and process; Ensure the transversal animation to get sustainability of Schneider Production System (SPS) level in the plant and Ensure the growing skills at all levels in the factory on the principles of manufacturing excellence. Eligible for remote work up to 1 dy/wk.

Requirements: Position requires Bachelor's or Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering, or Engineering Management, or related field and progressive, post-bachelor's experience (3 years with Master's or 5 years with Bachelor's) in continuous improvement engineering, or related occupation, which must include at least some experience in the following: Overseeing cost saving projects for a manufacturing plant; Using Lean Manufacturing Tools (Value Stream Mapping, SMED, Visual Management); Supply Chain Concepts, including 5S methodology and lean strategies and managing healthy stock; Organizing and executing Kaizen events; Leading continuous improvement projects; MRP planning using ERP functionality; Managing supply and demand by reducing excess and obsolete inventory and documenting and executing business requirements; and Project management using Agile and Lean methodologies.

** Role & Responsibility **

Material Planning:

• Plan, schedule, and order parts to meet build schedule requirements
• Coordinate and implement Engineering Change Notices
• Minimize expediting time and freight costs (air and ground) for parts issues
• Manage past due purchase orders and work with Accounts Payable on supplier invoicing issues

Materials & Logistics:

• Establish and monitor metrics relative to the local and regional supply chain
• Design, prototype and implementation of material flow and logistics options within the supply chain
• Design optimized models for inbound and outbound logistics networks
• Calculate manpower needs for supply chain segments

Sourcing:

• Resolve tactical sourcing issues, assisting with improving material flow and supporting strategic initiatives
• Identify potential sources, gather quotes, evaluate supplier proposals and perform cost analysis
• Participate in the world class VA (Value Add) process working collaboratively with Product Engineering
• Support and participation in negotiations and contract development with outside suppliers

Job Requirement

• Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing seeking a degree in Business, Engineering, Logistics, and Supply Chain Management or equivalent
• Be able to commit to Bobcat for the entire term of the co-op (8 months) or internship (4 months)
