The Logistics Coordinator will maintain the warehouse and appropriate records for designated business unit by performing the following duties
- Performs all shipping functions, including but not limited to pulling inventory, packing boxes, preparing related paperwork and documentation, and logging status into database.
- Ships orders using online shipping manifest systems.
- Performs all receiving functions.
- Maintains and manages inventory control. Coordinate periodic inventory cycle counts.
- Communicates regularly with customers, suppliers, and headquarters.
- Performs general warehouse duties such as picking and packing, maintaining supplies, and ensuring a clean and safe work area.
- May deliver packages on occasion, and as necessary, to shipping ground terminals.
- Support other departments as needed.
- High school diploma (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in logistics or shipping/receiving in a manufacturing or warehouse environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have experience with online shipping systems such as FedEx, UPS, etc.
- Strong organizational skills to manage inventory, multiple tasks, and deadlines.
- Must possess basic math and reasoning abilities.
- Must have ability to communicate with all levels of personnel and business contacts.
- Must have a valid driver's license. Must be able to use a pallet jack.
- Must have strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and MRP/ERP systems; SAP experience is preferred.

**BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY** :
The Senior Logistics Analyst plays a critical role in optimizing supply chain operations and driving strategic initiatives across the distribution network. This position leverages data analytics, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance transportation efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Collect, interpret, and analyze logistics data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement. Develop actionable insights based on quantitative and qualitative assessments of current practices.
+ Evaluate existing logistics processes and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure timely delivery of goods. Utilize lean methodologies, Six Sigma, or other process improvement frameworks as necessary.
+ Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics operations, such as inventory turnover, on-time delivery rates, order accuracy, and freight costs. Report findings to management and support data-driven decision-making.

Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings - carrier network and enterprise network. + Support Data analytic efforts for OFC to help create a single data source to drive OFC Supply Chain reports and metrics.
+ Develop Supply Chain reports and tools to support driving improvement in OFC supply chain initiatives - including educating end-users to drive adoption.

Requirements: Position requires Bachelor's or Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering, or Engineering Management, or related field and progressive, post-bachelor's experience (3 years with Master's or 5 years with Bachelor's) in continuous improvement engineering, or related occupation, which must include at least some experience in the following: Overseeing cost saving projects for a manufacturing plant; Using Lean Manufacturing Tools (Value Stream Mapping, SMED, Visual Management); Supply Chain Concepts, including 5S methodology and lean strategies and managing healthy stock; Organizing and executing Kaizen events; Leading continuous improvement projects; MRP planning using ERP functionality; Managing supply and demand by reducing excess and obsolete inventory and documenting and executing business requirements; and Project management using Agile and Lean methodologies.

Material Planning:
- Plan, schedule, and order parts to meet build schedule requirements
- Coordinate and implement Engineering Change Notices
- Minimize expediting time and freight costs (air and ground) for parts issues

**Role Purpose**
We are seeking a **Supply Chain Inventory Optimization Specialist** to lead strategic initiatives that enhance our manufacturing supply chain for fiber, cable and network infrastructure.
