How You'll Help Us Connect the World:

  • Coordinate Sales & Operations Planning Process in collaboration with PLM, Sales and Operations

  • Facilitate collaboration with cross-functional teams to maintain standardized operating procedures

  • First point of contact to mitigate and solve escalated issues to debottleneck supply chain operations

  • Manages inventory levels in assigned regions and business units, working closely with operations, sales and product line management for supply chain optimization; Publish excess inventory reports

  • Engage in NPI activities with Engineering / Sales and PLM to support speed to market initiatives

  • Measure, support and develop local entity planners

  • Manage system parameters for the entire Product Life Cycle

  • Work closely with procurement and vendors in managing contract manufacturing products, where applicable

  • Balance supply and capacity to provide the highest level of customer service and operational efficiency

  • Manage and maintain the 3rd-party direct ship process

Required Qualifications for Consideration:

  • Two or more years of supply chain experience

  • Knowledge of production control systems, specifically SAP

  • Experience with scheduling, forecasting, procurement, planning and customer service

Summary

**Role Purpose**
The Supply Chain Solutions MES System Technician is responsible for supporting supply chain initiatives to improve Supply Chain systems. Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings - carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
**Role Purpose**
Involves the overall planning, implementation and optimization of activities and support required for the delivery of fiber optic cable to our business partners. Primary areas of responsibility include driving production order dating, scheduling, releasing production orders to operations, supply chain related project work, and data analysis.
**Day to Day Responsibilities:**
+ Support production planning/master scheduling activities, including order management, resource planning, delivery promising, and production forecasting and reporting of actual manufacturing results vs. plan
+ Coordinating plans and execution with Product Line Management (PLM), Planners, Operations Engineering and Plant Management
+ Lead new system implementation projects and initiatives within Planning and Procurement
+ Work closely with production coordinators and team leaders to establish short- term and long-term expectations and execution of the production plan
**Education/Experience Required:**
+ Bachelor's Degree
+ Minimum 3 years of Supply Chain experience
+ Computer Literate in MS Office

The range for this position is $71,930.00 - $98,904.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. Job Description: This position leads the continuous Improvement strategy from tendering to delivery and animates continuous improvement on operational processes in plant based on Schneider Performance by managing the plant Value Stream Mapping and lead the continuous improvement of Product Lead Time by animating transversal actions plan at plant level and ensuring the implementation of the concept of green/red, principles of SPS, architecture lines, Short Interval Management, Material Providing & Handling. This position fulfills these responsibilities by performing the following day-to-day duties: Challenge, follow Kaizen events and in some cases lead some of them; Lead the deployment of the smart factory solutions in plant; Define yearly actions plan to build the productivity and follow productivity action plan and ensure achievement of the Direct Labor Productivity target; Report the Direct Labor Productivity to support functions by using standard tool and process; Ensure the transversal animation to get sustainability of Schneider Production System (SPS) level in the plant and Ensure the growing skills at all levels in the factory on the principles of manufacturing excellence. Eligible for remote work up to 1 dy/wk.

Requirements: Position requires Bachelor's or Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering, or Engineering Management, or related field and progressive, post-bachelor's experience (3 years with Master's or 5 years with Bachelor's) in continuous improvement engineering, or related occupation, which must include at least some experience in the following: Overseeing cost saving projects for a manufacturing plant; Using Lean Manufacturing Tools (Value Stream Mapping, SMED, Visual Management); Supply Chain Concepts, including 5S methodology and lean strategies and managing healthy stock; Organizing and executing Kaizen events; Leading continuous improvement projects; MRP planning using ERP functionality; Managing supply and demand by reducing excess and obsolete inventory and documenting and executing business requirements; and Project management using Agile and Lean methodologies.
