Scotlynn seeks to fill a Logistics Coordinator located at our corporate office in Tampa , FL . The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support and assistance to Logistics Account Managers for the daily operations of their accounts. This includes synchronizing and expediting route movement for shipping and receiving of freight, arranging pickup and delivery appointments, and creating and inspecting bills of lading (BOLS) to determine proper invoicing.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Accepting customer loads upon approval of the Logistics Account Manager, building loads, booking loads, organizing loads and tracking loads
  • Notifying customers of freight arrivals, pickups, movement, and deliveries
  • Maintaining lines of communication with carriers, customers, shipping, and receiving facilities
  • Data entry into fleet management system and online customer/vendor platforms
  • Retaining records of purchase orders and various administrative or clerical support tasks
  • Contacting customers, carriers, or distribution facilities to resolve problems or make adjustments as needed
  • Continuously communicating with the Logistics Account Manager and trainee(s) to ensure proper maintenance of accounts
  • Negotiating contracts for individual freight shipments
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree in Business Administration or other related fields of logistics strongly preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) Strongly preferred
  • Ability to think proactively and plan ahead
  • Knowledge of multiple transportation and logistics disciplines. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to multi-task and problem-solve. 1+ years of load planning, data coordinating, or transportation and customer service experience is strongly preferred

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Must be able to learn to operate the SkyBitz route management system and other systems as needed.

• Provides administrative and backup support for the Logistics Specialist with driver schedule, including delivery times and route management.

• Learns to create schedules, prioritizes, and manages customer orders and shipments.

• Supports the process for customer and internal facility tank supply inventories of bulk gasoline, diesel fuel and biodiesel.

• Learn how to source all order deliveries with our contract supply partners.

• Assist in preparing communication to drivers, sales, customers, and management to ensure all stakeholders are fully informed and proper expectations are set for all aspects of Transport Logistics.

• Learn to reconcile every Bill of Lading to ensure accuracy in gross and net gallon deliveries in our SkyBitz Dispatch Planner and Inventory Work Bench real-time during every shift.

• Assist in coordinating and monitoring all equipment to ensure that all required tests and inspections are current and active in all fuel supplier terminal locations.

• Learn the logistics process I order to collaborate with logistics team members to ensure efficient operation of our daily business.

• Must possess the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels, to always maintain the highest levels of professionalism in a dynamic and evolving environment.

• Must be able to perform all duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience, degree .

• Previous logistics dispatch/scheduling experience in multi-compartment fuel tanker transportation .

• Ability to solve problems in pressure situations, using independent judgement and discretion.

• Attention to detail and accuracy is required.

• Positive and professional demeanor in an office setting.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, bilingual (Spanish & English) is a plus.

• Proficient in Microsoft Suite and logistics application software.

• Ability to work the defined schedule as required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Exposure to extreme temperature changes, intense heat, noisy/loud environments and severe weather.

• Cognitive demands include the ability to perform tasks, often in distractive conditions.

• Must be able to communicate orally with direct reports, customers, management, and other internal co-workers, both individually and in front of a group is crucial.

Here they learn about the military structure of the U.S. Navy, its rich history of traditions and customs, leadership development and military etiquette.

Navy Supply School (27 weeks) in Newport, RI, for training in inventory management, food and retail operations, leadership, management and problem solving.

Advanced Training

Advanced training for prospective Supply Corps Officers may also be available. This specialized training may cover subjects including transportation management, freight classifications, methods of working with civilian carriers and special handling of medical goods and explosives.

Promotion opportunities are regularly available but competitive and based on performance.

Post-Service Opportunities

It's also important to note that specialized training received and work experience gained in the course of service can lead to valuable credentialing and occupational opportunities in related fields like logistics and business management.

Part-Time Opportunities

Serving part-time in the Navy Reserve, your duties will be carried out during your scheduled drilling and training periods. During monthly drilling, Supply Corps Officers in the Navy Reserve typically work at a location close to their homes. This gives you the flexibility to expand your profession in the Navy without compromising your civilian career at home.

For annual training, Supply Corps Officers may serve anywhere in the world, whether at sea or on shore stations at home and abroad.

•Provide subject matter expertise to all echelons on current medical regulations and policy, emerging medical initiatives, materiel updates, scheduled projects, and materiel procurement status.

•Facilitate communication and information flow between PM SMD and field units.

•Provide technical assistance for medical materiel sustainment operations.

•Assist in the development, publication, distribution, and archive management of Mission Support Plan agreements and supported documentation with gaining commands, supported units, and organizations.

•Support training on Army automated medical logistics systems.

•Conduct Fault Systems Analysis toward identified medical materiel support issues emerging in the field. Provide problem statements with supported research, analysis, and course of action recommendations for decision support solutions.

•Provide customer support, fielding project portfolio management, development and distribution of policies and directives, classified deployment analysis and requirements tracking, and requested research and analysis toward emerging directorate initiatives.

Desired Skills

•5-7 years of experience in military medical logistics.

•Strong knowledge of a military environment, including medical logistics and operations.

•Ability to work independently.

•Have experience with Theater Enterprise-Wide Logistics System (TEWLS), LOGICOL System, Materiel Integrator Decision Support Tool (LMI-DST), Medical Materiel Mobilization Planning Tool (M3PT Army Enterprise System Integration Program (AESIP), and Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A), Lead).

•Strong problem-solving and coordination skills.

•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

•Must be proficient with MS suites including Excel, Word, and SharePoint.

What You'll Do

The Director of Logistics will be responsible for creating and managing effective supply chain strategies to ensure that all product and services are delivered in a timely, cost-effective, and efficient manner. This includes responsibility to develop and build out a comprehensive DC network across Florida and Georgia to support the World Electric logistics strategy. This individual will be required to stay up to date on best practices, trends, and regulations in order to develop and implement innovative logistics solutions.

You will:

  • p>Develop and direct the World Electric logistics strategy across the Florida and Georgia market.

  • Lead key projects to build distribution centers in Atlanta and Central Florida to supplement the current DC in South Florida. This includes the planning process to develop the correct layout of the DC facility.

  • Implement efficient processes and management methods to generate higher ROI and logistics optimization across the DC network.

  • Assign and accept challenging assignments to expand professional knowledge and capabilities of self and others.

  • Provide clear and specific expectations to direct reports; set mutually agreed goals annually for each team member through an interactive process and aligns with the logistics strategy.

  • Develop best-in-class logistics, warehousing and inventory business processes capable of ensuring consistent delivery of goods, minimize stock outs and consistently improve on time delivery results exceeding customers' expectations.

  • Leverage data and analytics to build visibility and reporting that supports sustainable multiyear productivity improvements.

  • Identify opportunities within the World DC network to support branch/counter business optimization, leveraging key tools and coordination with sales insights.

  • Undertakes special projects as assigned dependent upon knowledge or experience.

  • Lead in developing strategic operational plans, department budgets as well as enhance productivity and efficiency throughout the Company logistics.

  • Enforce all Sonepar business and operational policies, ensure that controls are in place and operating as planned

  • Correspond with branch and company management to resolve questions and issues that arise in the normal course of business-e.g. opening/closure of branches, branch relocations, acquisitions, lease/buy decisions

  • Develop self and others - assign and accept challenging assignments to expand professional knowledge and capabilities of self and others

  • Embody the Sonepar Leadership Model to drive business results while also leveraging and respecting separate realities. Have courageous conversations when providing clear and specific expectations and feedback to the team; responsible to teach, coach and mentor the team to ensure their success.

What You'll Bring

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field

  • 5+ years of experience in logistics and supply chain management

  • Strong knowledge of logistics processes, systems, and regulations

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Position Summary:

The Logistics Specialist will coordinate and manage all inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely and accurate delivery. This role requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to collaborate across departments to support efficient supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, schedule, and oversee all inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely and accurate deliveries

  • Fulfill outbound orders, including picking, packing, and shipping

  • Arrange pickups and deliveries using various transportation modes (carriers, trucks, trains, planes, ships) as appropriate

  • Maintain accurate shipping documentation and records

  • Collaborate with project management to resolve supply chain updates, order discrepancies, and shipping-related issues

  • Inspect and maintain shipping equipment and materials to ensure operational readiness

  • Facilitate clear communication with warehouse staff, supply chain managers, transportation providers, and customers

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

  • Recommend process improvements related to shipping, transportation, and warehouse operations

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in logistics with a demonstrated ability to coordinate shipments efficiently

  • Familiarity with project logistics, DOT regulations, Incoterms, and international freight operations preferred

  • Valid forklift certification/license required!

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel

  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing for extended periods and lifting objects as needed

Pay Details: $25.50 per hour
