Role Summary
As Supply Chain Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the site supply chain, including control of ethical sourcing, planning and purchasing. This will mean working with supply chain colleagues within AMETEK PRECITECH to deliver world class supply chain initiatives.
With reporting lines to the Director of Operations and PRECITECH Global Supply Chain, the main remit for this role will be to facilitate and support the Supply Chain activities of the business, ensuring operational needs are met, considering the price, quality and delivery whilst ensuring continuity of supply and best practice.
What youll be doing
You will lead, enhance and develop all aspects of supply chain performance; collaborating with the leadership team, Global SC and other key stakeholders as required.
You will work with suppliers, manufacturing and sales to support the business needs and create partnerships that allow the business to improve performance and grow.
You will ensure that your team is fully trained and follow the safety guidelines in all aspects of the supply chain, including use of forklifts and any other vehicles as appropriate.
You will work with to develop and align supply chain strategies, measuring and analysing quality and delivery performance through KPIs.
You will build effective relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers, overseeing and ensuring best practice is maintained throughout the supply chain.
You will lead and improve supplier performance in terms of Service Level, Lead Time, Lot Size, cost, stock level, etc, and be responsible for annual stock counts during the financial year.
You will ensure through effective planning that the right levels of inventory are established, maintained, and flexed to meet current and future operational/project needs.
You will develop the materials, stock control and handling processes to gain improvements in efficiency and control.
You will lead the internal movement of materials and finished goods, developing logistics capabilities to support continued growth and development.
You will work to improve the businesses ability to utilize the current ERP system, Visual.
You will ensure that supply chain processes meet legal requirements and standards and are compliant with internal policies including Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy and the Group Management Code.
You will champion and have oversight for second sourcing strategies across the range of products supported by the facility in Keene.
This is what youll need to be successful in this role
Degree in Supply Chain, Business Management or equivalent is preferred.
You have demonstrable experiencing working as a Supply Chain Manager or equivalent (e.g. Purchasing/Sourcing Manager).
You will have significant experience in maintaining effective and productive relationships with external and internal customers and suppliers.
You will have robust commercial and financial awareness with strong negotiation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
You will be analytical and can interpret data to provide strategic and tactical solutions.
You will be a positive, self-managing and highly motivated individual who thrives in a fast paced, innovative environment with a flexible and proactive nature.
You will be a strong problem-solver who is able to identify and deliver priorities in a decisive manner.
You will have demonstrable experience in managing and leading a team of people to achieve shared objectives.
You will be APICs or CIPS qualified to a minimum of level 5 or hold equivalent experience.
PRECITECHdesigns and manufactures ultra precision machining solutions for freeform diamond turning, milling, and grinding which are used to produce optical lenses, mold inserts, mirrors, and precision mechanical components. Our diamond turning machines produce rotationally symmetric, asymmetric, freeform, and sculpted geometries with form tolerances in the sub-micron range and nanometer surface finishes.

The Associate Analyst, Supply Chain/Trade Relations prepares insightful analyses and KPI reporting of performance for various processes for the organization to highlight casual factors constraining performance as well as factors that impact trade funding. The Associate Analyst also assists with tactical interactions with manufacturing partners to execute on agreed upon strategies.

**Description**
+ Pull reports, maintain & analyze business data in C&S systems to support Support Supply Chain and Trade Relations initiatives.
+ Suggest supply chain and trade program strategies that reduce overall costs and optimize customer service levels in collaboration with external partners and department management.
+ Send accurate and timely data and provide services to C&S partners as defined by their contractual relationship.
+ Provide on-going support and training to the broker and vendor community in support of the C&S vendor programs.
+ Work with the subject matter experts and other team members to define metrics and performance goals for various applications. Assist in the research, design, and development of applicable key performance indicators (KPIs) for corporate management.
+ Coordinate the organization and administration of the flow of communication, schedules, project requests, recommendation and milestones.
+ Analyze and report on various metrics relative to customer and vendor performance including but not limited to tracking and analyzing inventory days on hand, target inventory levels, vendor fill rates, customer service level and lead time variability etc.

**Skills**
+ Proficiency with Excel, and basic knowledge of MS Access and SQL

+ 0-2: years of supply chain experience preferred. Bachelor's degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
