The Logistics Manager is responsible for the oversight of multiple spare parts rooms located in staffed and un-staffed Data Centers. The role incorporates analyzation and continuous improvement around effectiveness of work methods, procedures, controls, and staffing. Our Logistics Managers ensure performance plans are set, maintained, continuously improved upon, and difficult problems are met with creative solutions to achieve highly accurate and timely inventory movement throughout our Data Centers.
This position requires that the candidate selected be a US citizen and obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance.
Key job responsibilities
- Manage, coach, and develop Logistics Specialists utilizing available training programs, informal (e.g. on-floor coaching) and formal (e.g. written evaluation) job performance based feedback.
- Generate and communicate highly accurate, accessible inventory metrics reporting to Stakeholders
- Develop and implement consistent metrics to gauge employee performance.
- Train hourly associates in required department processes.
- Creatively resolve problems and make department impacting decisions in a highly ambiguous environment
- Run stock level reports and analyze results; optimize on-hand stock levels in effort to decrease cost-to-serve and increase efficiency of stock holdings.
- Set and monitor inventory levels of stock rooms to ensure that proper stock levels are maintained to support build and repair activities.
- Work closely with the logistics purchasing team to ensure cluster level stock is kept at appropriate levels.
- Design, assess, and implement new strategies and initiatives to continuously exceed Customer expectations.
- Continuous improvement through implementation of LEAN processes

Basic Qualifications
- 5 years of management experience, including administering yearly performance reviews to direct reports and team development and 5+ years in Microsoft Office - Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio
- 3+ years collecting data and reporting against key performance metrics and 3+ years in inventory control and/or Inventory Management Systems (IMS/WMS)

**Inventory Management & Operational Excellence**
+ Oversee all service parts inventory across the enterprise, including the Piqua Distribution Center, Hobart Service Branches, and technician trucks.
+ Direct master scheduling for finished goods and accessories and lead the development of inventory objectives and annual operating plans.
+ Establish and manage KANBAN-based replenishment systems for kits and purchased parts, ensuring timely availability and flow.

**Training & Field Support**
+ Act as a liaison between inventory functions at the Piqua Distribution Center, field branches, and service trucks to ensure cohesion, consistency, and visibility across the enterprise.
+ Partner with the field organization to ensure parts inventory is optimized at all levels (distribution center, branches, and trucks) to meet organizational service goals.
+ Provide proactive, ongoing training and communication to parts personnel and operational managers in field locations, reinforcing best practices in inventory control and continuous improvement.
**Cross-Functional Collaboration**
+ Lead a cross-functional effort with purchasing and strategic sourcing teams to assess risk, analyze inventory, and establish inventory strategies across all channels-supplier, Distribution Center, branch, and truck levels.
+ Partner with Purchasing on SKU rationalization based on sales trends, cost analysis, and viable substitutions.
+ Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Finance teams to support accurate implementation of product changes and financial planning related to inventory.
**Strategic Mindset & Accountability**
+ Provide a proactive and holistic view of inventory performance and trends-actuals, mid- and long-term goals-in terms of dollars, SKU count, and inventory turns.

As a Logistics Specialist V, you will be regarded as a Subject Matter Expert and will review and oversee our logistics documentation to establish the range and depth of spares, tools, test equipment, materials, and related manuals necessary to be deployed and stocked. You'll be responsible for routing, documenting, and coordinating shipping logistics, managing our records of equipment, components, repair parts and related manuals, and tracking logistics materials and parts for proper allocation of our storage facilities. You'll ensure all shipping process and procedures adhere to state, federal, and global regulations and coordinate import/export requirements.
Qualifications You Must Have:High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 10 or more years of relevant experience. A higher level degree may substitute for experience. Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education. Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills. Thorough understanding and experience with the practical application of Inventory and Supply Chain/Logistics principles and techniques. Progressive experience with inventory databases. The ability to lift 50lbs. and successfully pass a DOT physical that includes a baseline audiogram and a vision test is required. A current driver's license and satisfactory driving record is required. Progressive experience with Costpoint / Deltek. An active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required.
