About the Role

How you will contribute:

  • Handle customer queries, escalations & a large volume of day to day reports through the life cycle of customer orders.
  • Build a close working relationship with the Key Account control tower staff staffing through understanding their day to day business requirements and servicing accordingly.
  • Ensure a large number of customer & carrier performance reports are completed weekly/monthly and submitted on time and with accurate content.
  • Apply scheduling, planning, and coordination activity to support product inbound and outbound operations.
  • Ability to communicate both internally and externally with the customers and stakeholders.
  • Process order set up via preferred internal system to include but not limited to EDI feeds or manual creation.
  • Ensure orders are picked and processed timely to meet KPI requirements and help monitor and ensure proper inventory levels per customer expectations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Your Key Qualifications:

  • Customer service background in logistics or planning with ability to build a relationship with the customer and handle problem resolution in timely manner.
  • Word, Excel, Outlook knowledge with strong emphasis on Excel (V Look Ups, Pivot Table is a plus) used for tracking and analysis.
  • Ability to adapt and work in an ever changing, stress induced changing environment.
  • Ability to multitask effectively

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a resourceful and detailed Logistics Technician to join our WSI Logistics Team at our facility in Suwanee, GA. In this role, you will be responsible for performing physical and clerical tasks associated with inventory control, shipment and/or receipt of goods. Inspects and verifies goods against inventory and shipping records. Refurbishment of tools and equipment as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work alone or assist other department members in processes of the receiving, pulling, packing, loading/unloading and shipping of tools, parts and supplies needed to support our business units.
  • Repair and maintain reusable supplies and tools as required.
  • Complete and process any documentation associated with all job essential duties.
  • Work with minimal supervision to complete tasks delegated by supervisor.
  • Other departmental duties as assigned by supervisor.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

  • Education: High School Diploma
  • Experience and Skills:
    • Knowledge of inventory control, warehouse and shipping department operations.
    • Working knowledge of basic computer functions (Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word etc.),
    • Computer based shipping knowledge a plus, (FedEx Internet ship, UPS internet ship etc.)
    • Knowledge of and use of small hand and power tools.
    • Prior forklift experience preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Bending, lifting, loading and unloading packages parts and tools that weigh 70 lbs. unassisted and above 70 lbs. assisted. Stand on feet for long periods of time in warehouse environment. Must be available to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime as required to support departmental schedules and needs.
