**Job Summary:**
The Laboratory Department is looking for a Phlebotomist to join our growing team. The Phlebotomist is responsible for drawing quality blood samples from patients, preparing those specimens for lab testing, and completing clerical duties in a timely manner to maintain the department efficiently. Responsibilities will include order entry, result look-up, report generation, and answering internal/external calls in a friendly and helpful manner.
**Essential Functions:**

+ Collects all specimens according to established procedures from patients and ensures that they are properly processed
+ Identifying patients accurately and matching the patient's identity with the correct service is critical for patient safety

The RN Infection Preventionist provides coordination and supports implementation of a system wide infection control and prevention program to identify and prevent or reduce causes and/or sources of infection. They will also assist in the implementation of processes, to reduce hospital-associated infections. Implementing mitigation strategies in the event of communicable disease outbreaks within the healthcare facilities and/or the community, will also be a top priority. They will assist with the collection, analysis and reporting of infection prevention data to groups through chart abstraction and communication including verbal, written, and group presentation processes.
**Essential Responsibilities:**
+ Supports the goals and objectives for infection control and prevention; maintains policies and procedures to ensure technological advances in infection control and prevention are incorporated in a safe and cost-effective manner and are in compliance with Joint Commission, OSHA, and other regulatory bodies.
+ Utilizes current literature, professional organization recommendations and national experts to ensure that best practices are implemented throughout the program. Participates in divisional and corporate infection prevention and control committees.
+ Implements a surveillance program to assess and manage healthcare associated infections including activities related to detection, recording, and analyzing data. Supports epidemiological investigations of significant clusters of infection above expected levels or by atypical pathogens.
+ Monitors environmental concerns, provides consultation of preventive/corrective measures, provides recommendations to construction projects, product recommendations and coordinates trials of new products to reduce risk of infection in the healthcare facilities. Participates in environmental rounds in all facilities to improve patient quality and safety and reduce risk of infection.
+ Reviews all blood and body fluid exposures for the region; monitors for trends and assists in the analysis of data related to exposures. Assists in implementing recommendations for reduction in exposure.
+ Assists department/facility representatives in the development and review of infection prevention and control policies and procedures. Supports policy and procedure implementation and acts as liaison with the state and local health department, community and other regulatory agencies.
+ Monitors for uncontrolled introductions of pathogens or communicable illness into the healthcare environment. Develops strategies to assess for risk and monitoring of exposed patients, visitors and/or employees for secondary illness. Participates as a team member and subject matter expert in root cause analysis for healthcare associated infections.
+ Assists in the implementation of educational programs on infection prevention and control for orientees and annual updates for physicians and employees. Assists in the preparation of education programs on infection prevention and control for services throughout the organization as requested. Assists in the distribution of timely and relevant infection prevention and control information. Maintains regular updates to organization leadership of infection prevention and control activities through the annual Infection Control Risk Assessment, Infection Control Plan, and the Infection Control Committee and it's minutes.
**Employment Qualifications**
**Education Qualifications:**
+ Required Minimum Education- Bachelor's Degree
+ Specialty/Major: Nursing or healthcare related field
+ Preferred Education- Master's Degree
+ Specialty/Major: Nursing or other health related field
**Licensing/ Certification:**
+ Required Certification in Infection Control (CIC), awarded by the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc. (CBIC), within 3 years.
+ Preferred Certification in Infection Control (CIC), awarded by the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc. (CBIC). Completion of advanced education in Infection Prevention at time of hire.
**Minimum Years and Type of Experience:**
+ Experience of 2-5 years direct clinical patient care or experience in healthcare related field.
+ Prefer infection control/prevention experience.

**Job Summary:**
The Respiratory Care Practitioner III is responsible for providing respiratory care through patient assessment, planning, intervention, education and evaluation. Performs all respiratory care procedures including but not limited to oxygen and aerosolized medication delivery, ventilator care, bronchial hygiene therapy, diagnostic services and patient and staff education. Monitors the patient's response to such therapies and makes recommendations to change or modify based on the assessment.

This may include assigning respiratory care staff to work areas and/or work assignments, modifying work assignments, assisting with meal coverage, fielding call offs and providing adequate staffing levels for the next shift.
+ May assist physician performing procedures such as bronchoscopy, transtracheal catheter insertion, tracheotomy in intubation (if intubation is performed by respiratory therapy in the facility), and invasive monitoring.
+ Performs CPR including closed chest compressions and airway management techniques in accordance with the AHA ACLS protocol.
+ Conducts prescribed therapeutic procedures to achieve maintenance of a patient airway, including use of appropriate airways including endotracheal tubes, nasopharyngeal and oropharyngeal airways, maintenance of airway humidification, aspiration of secretions, extubation, maintenance of correct ETT cuff pressures and documents procedures in patient and department records.
+ Selects, assembles, monitors and evaluates mechanical ventilators for proper function and operation, including correction of malfunctions, cleanliness and determines appropriateness use for patient condition.
+ May perform pulmonary function tests (PFT).
+ Serves as a preceptor to new team members and/or students.
+ Assesses patient's physical status by inspection, palpation, auscultation, percussion, patient behavior and reviewing existing data in patient's record.
+ Performs treatments according to physician orders, explains therapy and therapeutic goals to patient; modifies treatment procedures based on patient response.
+ Determines appropriateness of prescribed therapy and recommends methods to physician to achieve therapeutic goals including IPPB, Aerosol therapy, Postural drainage and percussion, ultrasonic nebulizer, incentive spirometry, metered dose inhalers and spacers, etc.
+ Sets up and maintains different modes of oxygen therapy, to maintain adequate PaO2's with accurate inspired levels of oxygen.
+ Administers intermittent positive pressure breathing (IPPB) or Aerosol Therapy by first preparing the prescribed medication ordered by the physician and adjusting the machine or device to accomplish patient's individual clinical needs; document and observe patient's vital signs, productivity of cough, relief of Dyspnea, improved breath sounds and any adverse reactions to therapy; and use judgement and technical skill to determine possible adverse reactions and suggestions for appropriateness of therapy.
+ Gives postural drainage, vibration, percussion to ensure proper drainage of bronchial secretions by use of manual or mechanical percussion; check orders and X-rays for segments to be treated prior to initiating treatment; auscultation prior to and after procedure to note presence of clearance of secretions and response to therapy.
+ Instructs patients and families in incentive spirometer, metered dose inhaler (MDI) administration, postural drainage and clapping, oxygen therapy, ventilator care and home aerosol therapy.
+ Procurement of sputum for culture and sensitivity or airway clearance either by patient coaching, administration of mucolytics, aerosol therapy or endotracheal / nasopharyngeal suctioning.
+ Evaluates normal and pathologic blood and urine laboratory value ranges.
+ Performs arterial punctures and analysis; has an in-depth knowledge of analysis and arterial blood gas (ABG) interpretation. Performs arterial line procedures, takes safety precautions, sterile procedure, flushing, and ABG aspirations.
+ May perform EKG's; understands electronic monitoring, lead placement, and basic arrhythmias.
+ Maintains all Respiratory Therapy equipment and supplies.
+ Responds to cardio-pulmonary resuscitations and actively participates as indicated by clinical circumstances.

**Job Summary:**
The Radiological Technologist is a certified health professional who, under the direction of an authorized user, is committed to applying the art and skill of diagnostic imaging through the safe and effective use of ionizing radiation, in diagnostic radiology.
**Essential Functions:**
- Obtains patient's clinical history and appropriate lab work ensuring information is documented and available for use by a licensed practitioner.
- Positions and immobilizes patient to best demonstrate anatomic area of interest, respecting patient ability and comfort.
- Applies principles of radiation protection to minimize exposure to patient, self, and others.
- Performs radiographic procedures by selecting and operating imaging equipment, and/or associated accessories to successfully perform procedures.
- Verifies informed consent and completes pre and post procedure documentation.
- Assists licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic and specialized radiography procedures. Applies appropriate aseptic surgical technique as needed.
**Education:**
+ Associates from an ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) accredited institute (preferred)
**Required Licensing & Certifications:**
+ Certification and Registration with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) (required)
+ State Licensure (preferred, unless required by the state where the job is being performed)
+ BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (preferred upon hire, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care) (required)
+ BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (preferred upon hire, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care) (required)
**Experience:**
+ 1 year experience in radiation safety and patient care (preferred)
+ Experience with Radiology Information System (preferred)

**Job Summary:**
The Certified Surgical Technologist facilitates the operative or other invasive procedure by preparing and providing the required sterile instruments, supplies and equipment alongside the surgical team.
**Essential Functions:**
+ Provides instruments and supplies to the surgical team during the procedure and maintains aseptic technique.
+ Prepares, maintains, and organizes sterile supplies and instrument for the procedure.
+ Provides complete case preparation with the ability to adapt of special instruments, supplies, and equipment.
+ Assists with pre and post procedure cleaning of the operative room and instruments.
+ Prepares and performs surgical skin prep and clipping as indicated by procedure.
**Education:**
+ Associates Degree, Vocational Certification, or Military Certificate in Surgical Technology (required)
**Licensure/Certification:**
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association (preferred)
+ Must be certified by one of the following: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTA) or Tech in Surgery - Certified (TS-C)( TS-C is not accepted for Surgical Tech jobs in Cincinnati), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) (required)
+ Registered Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with the Virginia Board of Medicine (required if currently reside in Virginia)
**Experience:**
+ One year of perioperative, operating room, or related military surgical technology experience (preferred)
