**Job Description**
As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating fabricating machines, including cutoff saws, shears, rolls, brakes, presses, forming machines, spinning machines, and punch machines. You will work with metal plates, sheets, tubes, and structures to cut, shape, and bend them to specifications.
**Responsibilities**
+ Load material into the machine and perform setups.
+ Program and repair the machine as needed.
+ Interpret mechanical engineered drawings accurately.
+ Troubleshoot issues independently.
+ Clean machines and perform preventative maintenance as scheduled.
+ Complete necessary paperwork and report on supply levels.
+ Train others in operating procedures.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in machine operation.
+ General labor skills.
+ Experience with hand tools and tape measures.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Some previous manufacturing experience, whether from school or on the job.
+ Reliability and willingness to show up every day.
+ Flexibility in skillsets and willingness to perform multiple jobs, such as press brake and fabrication machine shop tasks.

**Work Environment**

The work environment is onsite, requiring standing, walking, and occasionally sitting, bending, grasping, pushing/pulling, climbing, crawling, twisting, and reaching. Employees may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with assistance. Personal Protective Equipment, such as foot, eye, and ear protection, is required in production areas. There may be potential exposure to bad weather, excessive heat, and/or excessive noise. Shipping is typically done on Fridays, and work hours are 40-45 hours weekly. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dixon, Illinois.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
