The Manufacturing Associate is responsible for performing manufacturing activities, including the production and inspection of products to ensure they meet customer requirements. This role involves simple cable assembly and connector operations to build high-quality products
Responsibilities
+ Convert raw materials into finished products.
+ Build products to standard rates.
+ Read job orders for product specifications.
+ Complete in-process inspections.
+ Interface with computer software to find documents and complete data entry.
+ Build simple point-to-point cables following drawings and instructions with high quality and productivity.
+ Demonstrate proper use of basic hand tools, such as soldering guns, wrenches, hand strippers, trimmers, wire cutters, chop saws, rulers, microscopes, and magnifiers.
+ Complete all necessary paperwork related to the building of assemblies.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with assembly, hand tools, and machine operation.
+ Ability to measure accurately using a ruler or tape measure.
+ Willingness to cross-train and be effective in various processes.
+ Flexibility and comfort functioning in a manufacturing environment.
+ Basic computer skills.
+ Experience with machine operations for plating, semi-rigid, and UTiFLEX.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.

Summary/Objective
As a meat packaging machine operator, you will work in a fast-paced production area, where products are passed from meat cages & bins to various packaging machinery. Duties include checking and controlling the machinery that packages the product to ensure that production has a constant supply of materials, adjusting the speed of the machinery, Machinery setup & tear down & troubleshooting, checking instruments at regular intervals, and maintaining machine cleanliness. When problems arise during the production process, stop the machine and report the issue to a supervisor.
Essential Functions
Responsible for supervising all operational & safety related functions pertaining to company equipment & machinery such as VC999, Shrink Tunnel, Peeler, Rollstock, Treif Slicers, Spiral Slicers, Band Saw, Cubing Machine, Box Tapers, Metal Detectors, Pallet Jacks, High Lifts, & other production related machinery.
Must be capable of lifting 30-50 lbs. frequently, in addition to pushing/pulling fully loaded meat cages & product bins.
Document all production-related activities on the Product Traceability Computer System.
Ability to be adequately trained & authorized to use machinery cleaning chemicals, including mandatory PPE.
Maintain a work environment that is neat, clean, and hazard-free.
Must have consistent and reliable attendance.
Must be able to follow instructions and procedures.
Comply with all health/safety, food safety, and basic hygiene rules.

Summary:
Metal Sales is the nation's largest manufacturer of metal roofing and building systems with 21 locations across America. Our Deer Lake, PA location has openings on our production team for Production Workers operating Mill and/or Trim Equipment.
This is a permanent full-time position with a comprehensive benefits package and competitive pay!
Regular hours for this position are Monday thru Friday 6:00 am – 2:00 pm. Overtime, including working on weekends, may be required.
A Production Worker is one of the key members of our production team. Daily responsibilities include safely operating roll formers, coil slitters, and flat sheet shears. The finished product is quality metal roofing and wall panels.
You’ll be responsible for (but not limited to):
- Operating a roll former to produce metal roof trim pieces
- Checking and visually inspecting produced trims against specifications to ensure a defect free product has been produced
- Operating single beam folder producing custom trim parts
- Entering production quantities for each order into computer system
- Operating a forklift for moving skids of stock trims
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment and assisting in other departments as needed
The most qualified candidates will have:
- Experience working in a manufacturing/production environment
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Ability to work independently and with others
- High school diploma or GED
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Must be able to read, hear, talk, drive lift trucks, wear PPE, and lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively
- Must be able to stand or walk approximately 7 ½ hours minimum per work shift
- Must be able to tolerate extreme temperature changes in the winter and summer months
- Noise level is moderate to loud
