+ Responsible for completing clean-up and ground maintenance of regularly assigned area.
+ Assist with keeping a steady flow of lumber throughout the mill by straightening lumber cross-ups using a pick axe or chain saw, as necessary.

Job Summary:
The Machine Operator at the Mixing Plant is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining mixing equipment used in the production of brick materials. This role ensures raw materials are accurately blended, machinery is functioning efficiently, and production schedules are met while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.
Work Schedule:
Full-time position. Day shift, Monday to Friday 7AM to 5PM, Night shift, Monday to Thursday 4PM to 4AM. All shifts are dependent upon productions needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Operation:
- Operate and monitor mixing plant machinery to process raw materials according to production requirements.
- Load and measure raw materials (clay, shale, sand, additives, etc.) into mixers per established formulas.
- Adjust machine settings to maintain consistency and meet quality standards.
Quality Control:
- Conduct routine checks to ensure proper blending and material consistency.
- Record production data and report deviations from specifications.
- Assist with troubleshooting process issues impacting quality or production output.
Maintenance and Inspections:
- Perform daily machine inspections, cleaning, and basic preventative maintenance.
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions or unsafe conditions.
- Work with the maintenance team on repairs or adjustments.
Safety Compliance:
- Follow all company and OSHA safety procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Report hazards, near misses, or incidents immediately.
- Participate in ongoing safety training and drills.
Production Support:
- Coordinate with heavy equipment operators and plant personnel to ensure continuous production flow.
- Maintain accurate logs of operations, downtime, and maintenance activities.
- Support other plant functions as needed to meet production goals.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to make basic equipment adjustments.
- Ability to read and follow production schedules, formulas, and safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork skills.

The Machine Operator will be responsible for performing various tasks to set up, operate, and monitor machines and equipment. They will ensure that product and packaging requirements are met safely, efficiently and with minimal waste. They will inspect harvesting or packaging line processes and materials and respond promptly to any machine malfunctions. They will be responsible for the start up and continuous operation of harvesting and packaging equipment while maintaining efficiencies and assist the department in meeting or exceeding daily production goals.
The Machine Operator will be expected to prepare seeding, harvesting and/or packaging machines prior to product run including cleaning, sanitizing, and adjusting as needed within the specified guidelines. The machine operator will fill equipment with packaging materials including corrugated boxes, film, trays, and finished product and stack cases on pallets. The operator may also utilize computerized controls on equipment.
General Knowledge and Skills
- Performs all duties in compliance with plant rules and practices safety, conduct, sanitation, and good housekeeping.
- Capable to work from ladders and scaffolding in a safe manner.
- Capable of operating hand operated MHE such as pallet jacks and stacker units

Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- 0-2 years experience as a machine operator or related experience
- Knowledge of GMP/GWP
- Understanding of basic Analytical and Problem Solving skills
- Must be a team player and show attention to detail
- Must be able to work with moderate supervision
Preferred Qualifications
- Associates Degree in a technical field or certification

Working Conditions & Schedule
Greenhouse/Outside/Coolers/Office. Machine Operators will have exposure to seasonal conditions which may range from extreme heat and humidity in the summer to cold in the winter. Work near moving mechanical parts including in the vicinity of occasional high noise environments is required. You will be working in the Cooler (35F-40F), Greenhouse (75F-85F), and Headhouse (60F-90F) environments for part or all of your shift and will dress accordingly.
1st shift: 6am - 6:30pm
2nd shift: 6pm - 6:30am
*Rotating shift on 2-2-3 schedule (every other weekend is 3 days off)

While performing the duties of this job, employees are expected to sometimes use hands to finger, handle or feel. As a Super-Sod Harvesting Operator, you will be responsible for operating a range of mechanical farming equipment—including tractors, sod harvesters, and irrigation systems—to support all aspects of crop production and harvesting. Under limited supervision, the Super-Sod Harvesting Operator performs work of moderate difficulty in the operation of various mechanical farm equipment, such as tractors and sod harvesters; performs related farm and harvesting work as assigned.

**Summary**
Performs pre-determined measurements on the equipment that will maximize overall machine operations to ensure optimal operating efficiency to meet production goals. Verifies machine settings, identifies equipment problems and makes recommendations to Maintenance for repair, adjustment and preventative maintenance. Ensures that equipment performs in an efficient manner and meets birds per man hour requirements. Monitors process to ensure a quality product is produced in a timely and efficient manner. **Shift**
+ Sunday through Thursday approximately 10:30pm-7:30am
**Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities**
+ Ensures that the machines are in operational order, including carriers, track, belting and washers. Maintains basic equipment conditions such as cleaning, lubricating, inspecting and maintaining proper alignment. If necessary make minor repairs.
+ Keeps machine free of jams.
+ Takes random samples of poultry caucus to make determinations of yield efficiency levels.
+ Maintains the yield efficiency goal levels set forth by management.
+ Ensures the machine loaders are properly loading correctly to reduce down-grade product and increase overall yield. Makes changes based on production needs, such as tender in versus tender out.
+ Adheres to all safety requirements including PPE, preventing, and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, lockout-tag out procedures and Process Safety Management related matters.
**Minimum Education**
+ High School diploma or equivalent plus 1 year or more experience in deboning manufacturing.
**Experience Requirements**
+ In depth knowledge of the overall deboning process; mechanical aptitude, ability to test and document process and product quality.
+ Ability to analyze data and process information in real-time and utilize data points in decision making process.
+ Good analytical skills and sound decision-making abilities.
+ Ability to multi-task and meet ever changing demands and requirements.
**Experience Preferred**
+ Experience in poultry processing/manufacturing environment preferred.
**Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements**
When in a plant environment:
+ Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
+ May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
+ May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
+ May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db.
+ May be exposed to dust, feathers and all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility.
+ Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
+ Occasional exposure to carbon dioxide vapors 10ppm and chlorine less than 20 ppm.
+ Able to stand for several hours.
