The Opportunity: The Assembly Line Leader position is responsible for overseeing a production line within an Assembly and Contract Packaging plant, ensuring maximum productivity and quality.

How Will You Impact WestRock company:
* Use the Work Order as a guide to individual job requirements and specifications.
* Set-up line or assist with line set-up as needed, using the line diagram.
* Responsible for inventory control, tracking and reconciliation of customer product and components, assuring that both are correct and properly placed on the line; kept in good supply as needed for the completion of the shift's production and the start of the next shift, if applicable.
* Assign temporary staffing service employees to individual tasks on the line as outlined in the work order and train them accordingly.

* Accurately maintain all production paperwork, including recording and reconciling temporary staff labor hours, and enter production data into the computer system.
* Maintain line cleanliness through good housekeeping practices.
* Responsible for safety on the line and for adhering to all safety rules and programs, and for attending all required safety training.
* Communicate with other departments, such as warehouse, maintenance and quality assurance as appropriate and necessary, and keep Supervisor apprised of issues related to the line.
* Responsible for the overall Safety and cleanliness of equipment and area.
* Work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures.

We are seeking dedicated individuals to operate CNC machines with a focus on grinding machines, as well as mills and lathes. The role involves managing materials, feeding them through machines, and alerting leads to any machine issues. **How will you make a difference?**
As a member of the Chicago location of Wabtec, you will be responsible for programming, setting up and operating conventional, special purpose, and numerical control (NC) machines and machining centers to fabricate metallic components made from castings, forgings, and stamped steel materials. This is a Monday through Thursday day shift role with overtime sometimes required on a Friday and/or Saturday. The CNC Machinist is expected to be able to program, read blueprints/CAD drawings, adjust offsets and change inserts, change out jobs with appropriate tooling, set-up and qualify first article parts. + Always has safety first in mind when working at Cardwell, uses all personal protective equipment as required. Ensures all equipment and forklifts are functioning per design and function. Shutdown equipment and stops operations in unsafe conditions, lockout/tagout when necessary.
+ Completes Red Flag Condition cards for urgent remedies to safety concerns and completes work orders to ensure timely repairs to equipment.
+ Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
+ Measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points on material or workpiece as guides for subsequent machining.
+ Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, and grinders.
+ Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.
+ Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine or machine's program as required.
+ Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications and drawings.
+ Sets up and operates machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed data.
+ Verifies dimensions and alignment of assembly through the use of calipers, micrometers, depth micrometers, and indicators to verify dimensions to print.
+ Installs machined replacement parts in machines, and equipment, and tests operation of unit to ensure functionality and performance.
+ Operates welding equipment to cut or weld parts.
+ Develops specifications from general description and draws sketch of part or product to be fabricated.
+ Confers with engineers, production personnel, programmers, maintenance, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems. Works with Material

**Job Description**
Join our team as a Clean Room Machine Operator at our state-of-the-art facility in St. Charles, IL. We specialize in manufacturing and distributing OEM electronic parts for leading automotive manufacturers. You'll be an integral part of our cleanroom environment, ensuring the precise assembly of electronic components such as power window switches, push-to-start buttons, and car entertainment consoles.
**Responsibilities**
+ Follow specific verbal and/or written instructions and standard work processes.
+ Adjust and set up equipment for defined variables like length, temperature, or process speed.
