- Perform cleaning and maintenance of machines

**Job Summary:**
The Lap and Laser Operator sets-up and performs necessary lapping on faces of various precision parts using single or double lap machines, materials, and operating Trumpf lasers for part marking. Studies blueprints, work orders, and/or machining instructions to determine product dimensions, diameters, tooling. Observes and adjusts machine operation.
**Essential Functions:**
+ Lap faces of various precision parts to achieve required size, flatness, parallelism and finish
+ Lap using Single and double lap equipment
+ Thoroughly clean parts of all honing oil and lapping compound
+ Mark and/or identify parts using various methods (Trumpf laser machine) to blueprints and specifications.
+ Be responsible to see that calibrated equipment is returned to Metrology Lab prior to the calibration due date
+ Collection of SPC data as dictated by the Production method of operation and process control plan
+ Participation in and support of Hone, Lap and Grind Team activities
+ Complete all required documentation including but not limited to operator inspection records, job routers, NCR's, reject tags, move tickets, and stock tickets.
+ Any other task assigned by supervisor or management
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Experience: 2+ years' experience in Lap and/or laser machine (Trumpf)
+ Must be able to work assorted hand tools
+ Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, detail sheets, and manufacturing outlines.
+ Education/Certification: High School Diploma or equivalent
+ **Eligibility Requirement:** This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

+ Double Lap operations experience
