We're looking for a skilled operator to run full converting and finishing equipment according to our standards for waste, quality, and productivity. You’ll set up, operate, and troubleshoot equipment with minimal supervision and help train others as needed.
Job Title: Converting Line Operator
Location: Elgin, IL
Pay Range: $22.00–$26.00/hr
Shifts: 1st, 2nd, or 3rd (Overtime as needed)
Key Responsibilities
Operate all converting and finishing equipment
Read and follow job tickets accurately
Set up special functions: splicer, gluer, Straub/Label applicators, rotary cutter, etc.
Perform minor mechanical adjustments and repairs
Maintain accurate counts and follow all SOPs
Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Support and train team members when needed
Requirements
Mechanical aptitude and equipment setup experience
Strong attention to detail and quality standards
Able to follow standardized work and safety procedures
Team player with strong communication skills
Comfortable in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment
Working Conditions
Indoor environment with exposure to heat (90°ree;F+), and humidity (80%+)
PPE required

+ Packing components into pouches or boxes on a light assembly machine
+ Performing minor process adjustments to machines (example: clearing jams from packing machines)
+ Operating assembly lines with a team of 2-5 people
+ Pushing, pulling, squatting, and lifting up to 45 lbs. intermittently
+ Consistently standing or walking for entire shift
+ Practicing cleanliness and working safely within manufacturing standards and guidelines
**Required Experience:**
+ Ability to stand, kneel, walk, bend, sit, lift, push, and pull up to 45 pounds throughout entire shift
+ Must agree to required cleanroom gowning procedures

+ Facilitate and lead adjustments needed to settings and make repairs as required.
+ Document activities accurately using Product History Records (PHRs).
+ Ensure quality checks are performed on bottles placed on the line.
+ Monitor product filling and packaging equipment for effective operation.
+ Make necessary adjustments to ensure correct fill levels are established.
+ Communicate to manufacturing leaders about any product not meeting quality standards.
+ Complete and report all documentation and production logs.
+ Troubleshoot issues on filling equipment to resume production efficiently.
+ Meet and exceed production requirements based on each filling line's capacity.
+ Maintain an appropriate work pace to meet all production goals.
+ Assist with training other manufacturing personnel as necessary.
+ Ensure all quality procedures are followed.
+ Follow all safety guidelines according to company and OSHA standards.

+ Operate forklift and pallet lift as needed.

**2nd shift:2pm-10pm**
**3rd shift:10pm-6:30am**
**Skills**
+ Setup and operate a high speed machines
+ Must possess sense of urgency in fast paced environment, while working safely
+ Limit scrap waste, deliver said waste to proper dept. when scrap truck is full, and accurately tag for waste reporting.
+ Collect top and bottom sheets (dunnage) to expedite converting process.
+ Practice good lock out/ tag out procedures.
+ Follow reporting processes for accurate completion of production paperwork
+ Mount die boards, assist in the setup of machine, and keep machine running.
+ Read and understand production order copy for every production run, and will assist operator in ensuring quality
+ Understand machine mechanical functionality and conduct in depth cleaning of press when scheduled.
