The individual will join our Centrotherm Manufacturing Team reporting to our shift supervisor. The ideal candidate is responsible for fabricating components of our InnoFlue line of polypropylene vent system components. In this role, the candidate will be operating our extrusion lines and working closely with the extrusion team. This position is on our C shift, 7 pm to 7:30 am Monday – Thursday rotating with Monday - Wednesday 7 pm to 7:30 am every other week. Initial training will take place during the first shift In this role.
Job duties:
- Execute daily handoffs to the day shift by communicating production rates and operational status
- Lead 2nd shift team utilizing the UCG quality principles including an emphasis on continuous improvement
- Distribute and monitor work orders to team members
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment following the principles of 5S
- Safely operate production equipment/build product per work instructions
- Impart quality into every part through attention to detail and execution of in-process control plan
- Complete daily/weekly preventative maintenance of assigned equipment
- Ensure efficient use of time and equipment, ensuring that the appropriate records are maintained and that tight inventory control and security are maintained
- Ensure that manufacturing transactions are accurately entered into our MRP System
- Assist in continuous improvement
- Perform other duties, projects, and assignments as needed
Job Requirements:
- Commitment to workplace safety
- A high school degree is required. An associate’s degree is preferred
- 2-5 years of one of the following skills are strongly preferred:
- Operation of extrusion equipment
- Operation of blow molding, thermal forming, injection molding, or extrusion equipment
- Plastic or metal welding and fabrication certification
- Candidates with operator experience outside of plastics will be considered
- Training will be provided
- Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel & Word is required
- Customer Focus - achieving Company, department, and personal goals through a strong customer focus.
- Must have attention to detail for continuous mental and visual attention
- Must be a good communicator and self-motivated. Must be able to follow verbal and written communications/directions
- A forklift license is a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
- Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50lbs occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance
- Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.

Job Summary:
Work with team members and perform the functions of a production associate as needed sustaining production operations.
Essential Functions:
●Performing the work of a production worker in our chemical mixing area.
●Utilize your printing or machine background to ensure the coating machines are running properly.
●Follow recipes for mixing batch adhesives to create tape.
●Maintain production and material records.
●Work with other departments to maintain appropriate levels of supplies and inventory.
●Maintain clean and safe work environment.
●Build and maintain internal and external customer satisfaction.

**Overview**
**Graham Packaging Company is looking for an Machine Operator 1 based in Modesto, CA. This position will operate the Blow mold Machine**
The Operator is responsible for operating a given number of plastic blow molding machines (including in-line equipment), and makes necessary adjustments or minor repairs to ensure production of containers is made in a safe, efficient and high quality manner. The primary duties of an Operator include:
+ Understands, follows and enforces all established safety, health, quality GMP and Company policies, procedures and recognized practices.

+ Participate in continuous quality improvement projects and other related activities as assigned
+ Operate a group of plastic blow molding machines and auxiliary equipment producing a container in a safe and high quality method.

+ Perform and/or assists in mold, insert and color changes on the line.
+ Perform basic processing of injection and/or blow molding machines to improve machine efficiency and reduce scrap.
+ Perform tasks and responsibilities of any Utility position during slow periods and/or as needed.
+ Monitor HDPE/PET resin (if applicable), dryer, material handling and color systems for appropriate processing conditions.
+ Make frequent on time quality checks on products being produced from established quality standards.
+ Assist other Operators and maintenance personnel on mechanical repairs.
+ Perform assigned preventative maintenance work.
+ Maintain work area to acceptable safety and housekeeping standards.
+ Complete and file all required documentation in an orderly and timely manner.
+ Communicate with the Production Shift Supervisor to coordinate production line support staff in accomplishing the lines' objectives.
+ Verify material usage per standards
+ Perform minor troubleshooting and programming on the line. Notify leads and supervisors of any major problems or questions.
+ Operate equipment to minimize the generation and maximize the consumption of regrind, purge and scrap within customer specifications where applicable.
+ Properly identify regrind and chunk produced.
+ Communicate processing information to designated personnel on incoming shift. Assist other Operators as needed.
+ Assist in the training of new Operators.
+ Limited travel may be required
