A Machine Operator is responsible for leading machine set-ups and changeovers, troubleshooting and adjusting machines, and inspecting and packaging finished products according to customer specifications. The role also involves operating various coating, finishing, and powered industrial vehicles to move products.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential functions may include, but are not limited to:
- Perform routine set-up and changeover of machines, making adjustments as needed to process operations accordingly.
- Run orders per product specifications and standard practices. This may include sorting, labeling, and packaging products per customer specifications, quality requirements, and standard practices
- Perform tests and check products routinely for multiple characteristics using standard measuring tools, tape measures, etc.
- Understand and implement quality standards and procedures
- Meet production schedules and program production sequences for optimal productivity.
- Follow standard operating procedures and specifications or instructions of higher-level technical personnel and monitor meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications.
- Maintain production records and logs of equipment and product performance.
- Maintain the work area with necessary supplies to complete processes
- Operate heavy equipment to move, load, and ship material and/or finished products throughout the manufacturing environment.
- Support inventory accuracy by completing cycle counts and correcting discrepancies to achieve business goals.
- Assist and support other team members in meeting department and site goals. Participate and share in performing all tasks necessary to run the facility.
- Contribute and participate in team decision-making processes, including problem-solving and continuous improvement efforts. Provide support in project work and other special requests.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) or 3+ years of relevant manufacturing work experience
- Must be able to follow written and oral instructions
- Must prioritize safety in every aspect of the working environment, adhering to established safety practices, policies, and procedures

Work Environment
The work environment is a powder facility with a dusty atmosphere due to the manufacturing of cleaning products, which also results in a strong cleaning smell. The position operates on the first shift from 6am to 2:30pm, including a 30-minute paid lunch break. The bulk of the production line speaks Spanish, so candidates should be aware of potential language barriers.

The pay range for this position is $0.00 - 20.00/hr.

**Your Role:** The Machine Operator is responsible for performing basic machine operation, working with computer-controlled equipment or mechanical based machines to make sure they are set up properly, working well and producing quality products.

+ Basic understanding of motor components and functions(40%)
+ Load/unload/inspect components to Operational Method Sheets (OMS) by use of proper gauging equipment in a safe and efficient manner(30%)
