Job Description
We are seeking a CAD Detailer on a contract-to-hire basis who is eager to grow within a stable company known for its long-term employee retention. This role involves designing steel parts for aviation hangars, allowing you to see your designs come to life from sketch to production. We are looking for an entry-level or less tenured drafter with a passion for learning and a commitment to quality work.
Responsibilities
+ Draft building plans using 2D AutoCAD and Foxit for customer approval, permit applications, construction, and preliminary sales layouts.
+ Review sales contracts, bid drawings, and documents before project initiation.
+ Detail fabrication drawings for production assembly using 2D AutoCAD, ensuring accuracy and quality.
+ Edit existing drawing models and generate new drawings as needed.
+ Produce revisions to original building drawings for construction sets.
+ Review packing list quantities and part number markings to ensure accuracy in planning.
+ Take sketches or customer ideas and draft them to specification, ensuring dimensions are perfect for manufacturing.
+ Interact with vendors and source parts from the start, with the potential to work with customers in the future.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in AutoCAD with experience in drafting fabrication drawings.
+ Strong mathematical skills, especially in algebra, for quick quoting and dimension calculations.
+ Mid to advanced Excel skills, including formula creation and BOM management.
+ Experience with purchase orders, including checking for accuracy and writing them.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with sheet metal and structural knowledge, including the ability to read structural prints.
+ Strong communication skills for interacting with vendors and customers.
+ Experience with Inventor or 3D design software is a plus but not required.
Work Environment
The drafting lab is located on the second floor of a small, family-owned company with a welcoming atmosphere. Employees have the opportunity to see the manufacturing process firsthand as all fabrication is done in-house. The office is clean and offers a collaborative environment where team members are encouraged to work together and build strong relationships.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.

Position Overview:
SharkNinja is seeking a Senior Director of Advanced Development to lead and inspire the creation of next-generation products for the Shark and Ninja brands. This role will help us build a new generation of innovative products for the Shark and Ninja brands. We thrive on designing and manufacturing great products that delight our customers. Key Responsibilities:
- Provides clear leadership and strategic direction for the Advanced Development team. Oversee product development projects, ensuring alignment with company goals and product roadmaps, while balancing creativity with technical feasibility.
- Leads the exploration and development of new product concepts, focusing on cutting-edge technologies and consumer insights. Champion a culture of innovation while ensuring practical execution through prototyping and testing.

- Leads the creation of proof-of-concept prototypes, utilizing CAD, rapid prototyping methods, and testing to validate ideas and ensure they are technically viable and aligned with consumer expectations.
- Evaluates and optimizes the development process, driving continuous improvements in efficiency, design quality, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensures that all designs adhere to robust engineering standards and principles, driving high-quality, reliable, and manufacturable solutions.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for advanced development initiatives, effectively communicating project status, challenges, and successes to senior leadership and other key stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design Engineering, or a related field with a focus on engineering principles.
- 8-12 years of experience in Mechanical/Product Design/Engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Experience in the consumer goods household appliance space desirable.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and/or Creo CAD package(s) to a high level
- Strong hands-on experience in building prototypes, testing, and iterating on designs. You’re comfortable working directly with teams to build, test, and refine prototypes.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify key challenges early in the development process and take decisive actions to address them.
- A highly collaborative approach to working across teams and regions, with experience in managing cross-functional projects and driving alignment between diverse groups.

OVERVIEW:
As a Principal Industrial Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the Ninja brand through strategic, innovative, and emotionally resonant product design. Perform design, debugging, and board bring-up of analog and digital real-time embedded electronics for microprocess-based control and communication hardware platform using combination of simulation, analysis, prototyping and testing.

R&D Mechanical Engineering Manager – Ninja
SharkNinja is looking for a highly motivated Engineering Manager to lead Ninja’s R&D Mechanical Engineering team. This person must be both an Engineer and a Manager – they will be the lead R&D engineer on one or more projects and also manage a team of engineers supporting these projects. They will be responsible for “how things work” in our products, focusing on the development and implementation of new technologies to deliver consumer-delighting performance.
On the Engineer side we seek a creative problem solver who possesses a deep, intuitive grasp of physics and engineering fundamentals and is equally comfortable hacking together a prototype in the lab or working through theories on a whiteboard. Critical to this role is the ability to rapidly condense design problems to their core requirements and communicate scope, approach, and progress. This is a role focused on rapid iteration and a “fail fast” mindset to focus efforts quickly. Candidates should be capable of creating and executing test plans, analyzing data, and developing theories that may be referenced in product development here for years to come. This is not a CAD focused role, but you will drive the design of the product through participation in design reviews and close collaboration with other teams. A successful candidate must be able to think like both a scientist and an engineer and must understand better than anyone else how things function and what levers to pull to make them work better.
On the Manager side we seek a leader who can steer new product development from a technology perspective within the cross-functional team, generating new ideas and driving the broader product concept in a direction that aligns with what’s technically feasible. They will act as R&D lead on one or more projects, overseeing the technical performance workstreams and developing the technology required to meet or exceed requirements. They will lead a team of engineers while also working alongside them, and they are responsible for their team’s work and growth. This role is involved heavily at the front-end of the product development cycle but also supports products all the way up to mass production. A successful candidate must be able to think both big picture and get into the details, and they must be prepared to balance being a deep technical expert while working, thinking, and leading cross-functionally.

- Proven record of delivering robust, elegant, and innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges, leading projects, and managing or mentoring other engineers
- Experience with general hands on mechanical and/or electrical fabrication (power tools, sheet metal work, electrical wiring)
- Experience with electronics, test equipment, and components common in small appliances (sensors, motors, heaters, PCBAs, etc.)
- Basic CAD experience
- Advanced skills in using Excel (or similar programs) to organize and analyze test data
- Due to the hands-on nature of the role working with prototypes this is an in-person role at our Needham, MA Office
