Position Overview

As a Maintenance Machining Technician , you'll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.

Working the 2nd shift from Monday through Thursday, 7:30 PM to 6:00 AM , you'll enjoy a competitive pay rate of $32.55 per hour, plus a 6% shift differential. Employees will receive six-month pay progressions, culminating in a top out rate of $8.85 in two years. Responsibilities

• Receives and manages time sensitive work order assignments.
• Safely and effectively works on all plant facilities and equipment.
• Reads electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic blueprints to troubleshoot and maintain various equipment and systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair hoist and crane systems
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Performs metal fabrication - cutting, welding and grinding.
• Troubleshoots and repairs production and non-production machines and equipment.
• Troubleshoots and repairs material handling equipment.

This position works in the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering department, providing global manufacturing prototype hardware by utilizing various types of CNC machinery. The position will also support continuous improvements of our laboratory manufacturing processes. **AS A CNC MACHINING TECHNICIAN, YOU WILL:**
+ Set-up and operate precision CNC machinery to manufacture parts for customers.
+ Perform program edits and adjust machining parameters to ensure part quality.
+ Study specifications and drawings to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces.
+ Identify and communicate deviations from prints
+ Verify conformance of finished work piece to specifications using various gauging methods.
+ Keep accurate, easy-to-read records of work performed and materials used.
+ Maintain safe work habits and care for all shop tools, machines, and equipment.
+ Present continuous improvement ideas.
+ Help maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of the facility and work area.
+ Stay current with technical changes through continuing education and training.
**REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:**
+ High School Diploma with a minimum of three (3) years CNC machining experience (mill and lathe), or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Ability to read and understand technical drawings and diagrams
+ Good communication skills
+ Physical ability to move, lift, and/or push up to 50 lbs.
+ Physical ability to walk/stand on concrete for the duration of the work shift
+ Ability to safely use a wide variety of measuring tools and various tools associated with CNC machining
