Job Overview:
- Operators load converting bag machines with roll stock of film (plastic). The operator sets up the machines to the customer's specification and the converting bag machine forms the bag or the pouch. Operators are responsible for efficiently operating the converting bag machine, including but not limited to: machine setup, bag production, handling finished product, quality control and reporting while adhering to safety guidelines.
Requirements:

Able to regularly lift 10-15lbs and occasionally 50lbs of product

Great attitude and attendance is a must!

Mechanical reasoning skills

Ability to do machine set-ups, calibrations, etc. or a willingness to learn

Ability to read a tape measure and record measurements

Open positions include Offset Press Assistants and Offset Second Press Operators. Responsibilities also include:
+ Make ready and operate equipment based on the written instructions provided.
+ Establish and maintain color and/or fold and mechanical quality to BPC standards.
+ Continuously monitor the product for quality and approve or reject it.
+ Direct and coordinate the activities of assigned crew members.
+ Perform assigned make-ready duties.
+ Complete required general maintenance and lubrication assignments.
+ Complete required documentation, electronic and paper, for an assigned job.
+ Perform duties of other Print Service manufacturing positions as needed, following requisite training.
Qualifications:
Do you have experience with the following equipment? If so, great; if not, we will train you!
+ Press equipment to include: 2x4 M-1000, 2x6 Manroland or Goss, 2x8 Manroland or 4x8C-700 offset web experience highly desirable. Will also consider applicants who have worked in a Gravure or Sheetfed environment.
+ Strong mechanical aptitude is required.
+ Observe and monitor machine operations to determine whether adjustments are needed to run the product for the highest quality in the safest manner.
+ Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting.
+ Must be able to utilize a computer to ensure the quality of the product.
+ Good verbal and written comprehension, with the ability to receive and follow instructions.
+ Ability to lift 10-15 pounds continuously, lift to 50 pounds occasionally, stand long hours (12-hour shifts), use hands and wrists continuously in controlled movement, receive and follow instructions, and use vision to identify defects.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Fluent in both Spanish and English

**Responsibilities**
+ Set up and operate Amada and Mitsubishi NC/NCL lasers and Messer plasma systems.
+ Check material thickness, load materials, and de-nest parts while removing laser oxide.
+ Meet time standards and quality expectations for assigned tasks; troubleshoot minor program errors.
+ Train others on laser/plasma setup and operation; cross-train across multiple platforms.
+ Safely operate a forklift for material handling and complete online data collection for work tracking.
+ Maintain performance logs, report production and quality control issues, and participate in preventative maintenance.
+ Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and perform other assigned duties as needed.
**Qualifications:**
+ Experience in a highly technical environment with a strong background in laser or CNC operations.
+ Familiarity with overhead crane use and ability to operate a forklift.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability in blueprint reading.
+ Competent in basic dimensional measuring, shop math, and understanding G and M codes.

**Pay Details:** 18.00 to 24.00 per hour
