The Role We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Application Developer to join our Enterprise Application Support team to provide test environment support for a large customer in the insurance domain. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mainframe development and support, with extensive batch, JCL, Break-Fix, and DB2 experience. This role will predominantly be supporting non-production environments, JCL maintenance, test data management, and executing and monitoring test batch. This team will work directly with the clients developer and test communities to support planned testing efforts in several batch and online environments. This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, and solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Position is for an Application Developer/Analyst to support the SRNS installation of PeopleSoft - Finance, Supply Chain, Human Resources and Customer Relationship Management modules.
This position is eligible for up to 100% telework. Amount of telework, if any, will be determined by job scope, candidate location, and other factors related to the position.
Keeps assigned applications operational by testing product upgrades, providing customer support and problem-solving customer issues. Plans for information systems and services from a perspective of application design, development, installation or database administration in accordance with SRNS IT processes and procedures. Provides tactical design, engineering, technical specifications, project coordination, and configuration management for moderately complex IT solutions. Assists more senior technical personnel in performing related activities in moderately complex tasks.
