**Location:** 18th Avenue
Planning of all mechanical maintenance work such as installation, set-ups, repairs, and modifications to equipment. Communicate with all PCI departments involved in the planning of production processes. Create, update, and maintain all preventative maintenance procedures. Create, update, and maintain change-over jackets. Assist Maintenance Managers and Supervisors with scheduling maintenance activities.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The essential duties and responsibilities include the following but other duties may be assigned.
+ Create, update, and distribute changeover documentation.
+ Create, update, and distribute preventative maintenance documents.
+ Manage a daily and monthly maintenance schedule for maintenance changeovers, repairs, and production support.
+ Work with the Scheduling Department to ensure the Production Schedule is accurate. Work to reduce changeovers whenever possible.
+ Attend Tier II Daily Directional Setting meetings and provide follow-up and feedback as needed.
+ Analyze equipment failures to improve the overall reliability of the equipment, while maintaining productivity.
+ Update setup documentation to ensure all settings are current and accurate.
+ Work with The Business Units and Scheduling to accurately maintain a timeline for any launches or validations of products.
+ Manage and prioritize the backlog of all maintenance work.
+ Communicate with The Business Units for maintenance setup materials and other component sample requests.
+ Work with the tool crib and engineering to ensure accuracy and tool modifications.
+ Actively participate in value stream activities.
+ Manage and complete change control.
+ Adhere to all PCI cGMP, and GCP policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
+ This position may require overtime and/or weekend work.
+ Attendance at work is an essential function of this job.
+ Other duties as assigned by manager/supervisor.
**Required:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in a related field and/or 1-5 years of related experience and/or training.
+ College Level Mathematical Skills
+ Intermediate Computer Skills: Ability to perform more complex computer tasks and knowledge of various computer programs.
+ Full Professional Proficiency: Ability to speak, read, and write fluently and accurately on all levels pertinent to professional needs.
+ High Reasoning: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where there is only limited standardization. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions that may be provided in various forms.
**Preferred:**
+ Ability to effectively present information to various people as the job requires.
+ Ability to follow instructions and respond to management direction.
+ Ability to identify and resolve problems promptly.
+ Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team.
This position's base salary hiring range is $69,920-$78,660 plus an annual performance bonus eligibility. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including but not limited to specific and relevant experience, education, credentials, geography, and subject matter expertise. Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking several highly qualified **Maintenance Scheduling** **Manager 2** for the Ground Test & Maintenance team on the Strike program at **Edwards AFB, CA.**
This position will oversee the scheduling of the maintenance, servicing, repair and overhauling of multiple aircraft and aircraft systems. The selected candidates will be responsible for ensuring that scheduling maintenance for assigned aircraft are maintained. Plans, prepares, issues and controls maintenance schedules and coordinates with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet scheduled maintenance requirements. Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential scheduled maintenance problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed.
**This position will be located 100% on-site at Edwards AFB, CA.**
Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
+ Manage all scheduling efforts and schedule baselines
+ Interface between planning and maintenance and developing an optimal schedule
+ Update and publish "daily dairy" maintenance log and monthly performance.
+ Conduct Delayed Action board and ensure all inputs and signatures are complete
+ Track daily maintenance schedule
+ Provide day-to-day hands-on support, guidance, troubleshooting, and satisfying programmatic requirements
+ Function as a change agent, creating an environment of trust, compliance, continuous improvement and learning
+ Managing multiple priorities against ambitious timelines
+ Ensure full compliance with corporate and sector scheduling processes and procedures, with particular focus on implementation of the NGMS Earned Value Management System

**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Must have a Bachelor Degree AND 9 years of relevant professional/military experience, OR a Master's degree and 7 years of relevant professional/military experience, OR 5 years related experience with a PhD
+ Understanding and execution of Earned-Value Management (EVMS) principles and their application to complex projects.

Primary Level Salary Range: $129,300.00 - $193,900.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

- Communicate repair needs, status updates, and schedules with mechanics, shop leads, and field operations.
- Ensure work orders are accurately documented with parts, labor, time estimates, and completion status.
- Review incoming maintenance issues and coordinate inspections or technician input to develop accurate time and cost estimates.
- Track actual labor and parts usage against estimates to identify variances and support future planning.
- Collaborate with the Shop Manager to prioritize repairs based on urgency, impact on field operations, and budget.
- Source, order, and track parts and supplies required for maintenance and repair of equipment and vehicles.
- Maintain relationships with preferred vendors to secure competitive pricing and lead times.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of commonly used parts and consumables.
- Manage returns, warranty claims, and backorders as needed.
- Maintain and execute a proactive maintenance schedule for all company equipment, ensuring timely service intervals based on usage, manufacturer guidelines, and operational needs.
- Coordinate scheduling with field supervisors and shop leads to minimize service disruptions.
- Keep accurate records of completed maintenance and upcoming service deadlines.
- On-time completion of maintenance tasks aligned with repair estimates.
- Effective execution of the scheduled maintenance calendar.

- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or technical training preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in a service writer, maintenance coordinator, or procurement role in an industrial or heavy equipment environment.
- Familiarity with mechanical systems, parts sourcing, and shop workflows.
- Proficiency with inventory management systems and basic estimating tools.
- Strong communication, organizational, and follow-through skills.
- Primarily office/shop environment with frequent interaction with mechanics and field supervisors.
- Occasional exposure to equipment and tools in operational settings.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and perform basic physical tasks as needed.
