We're seeking a proactive, skilled Maintenance Operative to join our team. You'll be responsible for

repairs, and preventative maintenance of our company's buildings at various locations in the UK.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Carrying out general building maintenance- this will include repairs to electrical, plumbing

and cladding as needed

Be able to operate suitable plant e.g. cherry picker and/or scissor lifting safely.

Dealing with external contractors where necessary

Following safe systems of work in line with CDM Regulations

Essential Requirements:

Strong practical skills in electrical, plumbing, cladding, and general building along with minor

In this essential role, you will support the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems across our commercial buildings. Your responsibilities will include working with lighting, power distribution, and emergency power systems, as well as low-voltage technologies such as CCTV, access control, and fire alarms.

You’ll perform hands-on tasks involving wiring, hardware, and power connections to ensure the safety, reliability, and performance of our facilities. This position also offers the opportunity to work with three-phase systems and advanced security technologies, contributing directly to the operational excellence of our infrastructure.

A day in the life of an Electrician may include:

  • Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and components across our facilities, including panels, breakers, lights, receptacles, TVSS, VFDs, disconnects, UPS, and generators

  • Troubleshooting electrical systems and inspecting buildings and equipment to identify necessary repairs

**About the role:**
As a CBRE Building Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of commercial properties.
Join our CBRE **Engineering and Technical Services** team-in providing facilities perfection at Innovative Healthcare site with a two-building campus in Denton, TX.
+ **What You'll Do:**
+ Perform maintenance and repairs to the mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems. Keep facility and building systems up to applicable standards as assigned.
+ Align with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.

**About the role**
Utilizes sophisticated skills to perform complex preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, equipment and grounds. Working under limited supervision, monitors building system operations and performance. Applies several trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating and cooling.
**What you'll do**
+ Aligns with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.
+ Inspects building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by client.
+ Oversees and inspects the work performed by outside contractors. Contracted work includes landscaping, snow removal, remodeling, HVAC, plumbers, and cleaning.
+ Performs assigned repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance. Completes' maintenance and repair records as required.
+ Reviews assigned work orders. Estimates time and materials needed to complete repair. Orders necessary materials and supplies to finish the tasks.
+ Maintains an energy management program to ensure measures are taken to operate all systems in the most efficient manner to keep operating costs at a minimum.
+ Maintains the building lighting system, including element and ballast repairs or replacements.
+ Performs welding, carpentry, furniture assembly and locksmith tasks as needed.
**What you'll need**
+ High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of four years of related experience and/or trade school training.
+ Universal CFC certification Preferred.
+ Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding.
+ Requires basic knowledge of financial terms and principles.
+ Uses personal computer and / or PDA for work order system, email, ESS and training. Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook.
+ Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs / ladders and ability to lift / carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
+ Decisions made with general understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines.
+ Responsible for personal safety and the safety of those who are affected by your work.
