Job Description
The Maintenance Program reports to the Senior Manager of Engineering and is responsible for aircraft, engine, and aircraft component maintenance programs to include task cards and other projects assigned to support safe and reliable utilization of Mesa Airlines CRJ 2/7/9, Embraer 170, and 737 fleets. The Manager would be knowledgeable in program enhancements to support cost reduction and optimize checks.
Essential Functions:
* Monitors and prioritizes projects to ensure critical deadlines are met
* Progressively develop and maintain the assigned fleet for Mesa Airlines
* Responsible for the Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program (CAMP) compliance to OEM and associated regulatory requirements
* Ensures timely implementation of all OEM and regulatory document revisions into Mesa Airlines' Maintenance Program Manuals
* Ensures participation by Maintenance Programs personnel in manufacturer sponsored steering committee meetings
* Pursues opportunities for Maintenance Programs optimization that results in airline cost savings and operational efficiency.
* Understands aircraft inductions and STCs to adopt a reliable maintenance program for previously operated aircraft
* Continuously improve/optimize the Maintenance Program using standardized metrics and processes
* Pursue diverse practices to simplify the planning of maintenance task cards
* Analyze maintenance task findings (non-routine data) to determine causes and failures and make recommendations to reliability and maintenance program as required
* Prototype newly developed tasks on-wing (e.g. cabin refresh interior tasks)
* Assist in developing maintenance program tasks and task cards in conjunction with STC projects
* Advise the maintenance program team on tasks and task cards to suit Mesa Airlines conditions and the environment by participating in weekly and monthly reliability meetings
* Prepare, edit, reconcile and revise task cards
* Represent Mesa Airlines at Bombardier, Embraer, and Boeing Industry Steering Committee (ISC) and Working Group (WG) meetings to collaborate and evolve the maintenance program
* Other duties as assigned
Knowledge/Skills/Education/Licenses*:
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant License
- Ten (10) years airline industry experience.

The Nucor Steel Indiana/ Ivy Tech Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance Programs are designed to teach maintenance fundamentals and train a person with a high school diploma (or GED) to the level of a maintenance electrical or mechanical technician within a two year training period. The training program is a compilation of education, culture, ideas, and current training programs that exist throughout Nucor. This training provides the necessary classroom instruction and includes structured hands on training to ensure the person is prepared to enter the workforce as an Electrical or Mechanical Technician. Responsibilities will include hands on assignments working with experienced Nucor Maintenance Team Members while maintaining a 3.0 or better grade point average.
