**Responsibilities**
JOB SUMMARY
+ Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, and alterations to Panasonic Avionics Corporation (PAC) In- flight Entertainment Systems on aircraft subjected to FAA/CAA/EASA/CASA Regulations to include: troubleshooting and testing of electronic assemblies and units, the removal and replacement of electronic assemblies, units or cabling while installed in the aircraft and the modification/alteration of installed equipment.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES.Description
+ Aircraft/IFE Maintenance and Support
+ Perform built-in test (BIT) and manual test of Panasonic Avionics Corporation IFE systems.
+ Troubleshoot electronic units, cabling or seat consoles in which failures occur down to the line replaceable modules, using knowledge of electronic theory.
+ Identify necessary repairs to restore functional acceptance, which may require the removal and replacement of defective line replaceable modules and/or cabling.
+ Operate a vehicle on airport property and around aircraft.
+ Operate airline communications equipment.
+ Communicate and interface with customer.
+ Administrative/Documentation
+ Document the testing and repairs using computer and bar-coding equipment.
+ Receive and prepare parts.
+ Assist in tracking the spares inventory.
+ Perform other reasonable related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or upper management.
**Qualifications**
**WHAT IS REQUIRED:**
+ HS diploma or GED is **required.**
+ **Airframe & Powerplant License** , or a related certificate of equal value is **required.**
+ **Must** be able to pass a background and drug screening (marijuana included).
+ **Must** have a valid driver's license.
+ **Must** be open to most shifts. (Night shift or Graveyard shift included. Airports are a 24/7 operation)
+ 0-1-year experience in a mechanical or electrical technician position through work or school his preferred but not required.
+ General knowledge of fundamental electrical mechanics or related experience acquired through commercial aviation, military experience or technical school education is highly preferred, but not required.
+ 1 + years of IFE or avionics experience is highly preferred, but not required.
+ **Must** have the ability to climb and work from ladder or platform, and endure sitting, standing, bending or twisting for extended periods.
+ **Must** have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

The Role:
Responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the venue's business goals and objectives.

Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.

Qualifications:

We are seeking a **_Maintenance Services Coordinator_** who will be the point of contact for all maintenance service requests for the JHU Homewood campus. Calls are received via phone, email, and in-person, and are prioritized for dispatch. Urgent or emergency requests are dispatched by two-way radio and all requests, including routine maintenance and support requests, are recorded in a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for electronic distribution. The Maintenance Services Coordinator will also use the CMMS to maintain facilities information, generate preventive maintenance work orders, and bill for chargeable requests. The position is also tasked with tracking and adding asset information for equipment, including specifications. In addition, the Maintenance Services Coordinator handles posting quarterly fire alarm testing announcements as well as generating reports for campus gas billing. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinates with Foreman and/or Assistant Foreman and/or other trades for the purpose of completing projects and work orders efficiently.
- Fabricates, assembles, and installs piping and tubing systems that are to conduct water, air, and other fluids, solids, or gases in and around buildings and structures, including hangers, restraints, and supports for such systems.
- Installs plumbing systems and fixtures (e.g. hot water heaters, drinking fountains, etc.) for the purpose of providing enhanced and/or upgraded capabilities.
- Maintains vehicle, tools and equipment for the purpose of ensuring availability in safe operating condition.
- Installs vacuum piping systems.
- Installs drainage and sewage lines (laterals) from buildings to the point of attachment to sewer mains.
- Installs distribution lines, including but not limited to gas lines.
- Installs plumbing fixtures, including but not limited to sinks, faucets, drinking fountains, and commodes, water closets, medical gas, backflow devices, and fire sprinkler systems that connect into potable water systems.
- Cuts, threads, bends, connects, and secures pipes.
- Performs welding and burning which is incidental to the work of plumbing.
- Handles and moves materials and equipment to be used by plumbers.
- Analyzes blueprints, schematics, and drawings of plumbing systems for the purpose of determining the efficient installation of new or upgraded systems.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
- Remove hazardous materials identified in the course of plumbing work, in compliance with local, state and Federal laws.
- Identify and execute mechanical system preventative maintenance (PM) procedures to prevent breakdowns, prolong equipment life and minimize interruptions impacting the customer, typically related to plumber work.
Knowledge of:
- Knowledge of equipment parts that must be replaced on a regular basis to prevent equipment malfunction.
- Knowledge of and the ability to apply customer service skills to appropriately interact with District staff (our customers) in their place of work with minimal disruption of their work environment.
- Knowledge of and the ability to identify hazards and implement safety precautions associated with the work; ability to handle hazardous materials associated with the job in accordance with established laws and policies.
- Skill to recognize characteristics of malfunctioning equipment; the range of conditions or problems that could cause various mechanical equipment to malfunction; identify and correct specific problems causing equipment malfunction.
- Basic Office Essentials: use of tablets, respond to emails, spread sheets ect.
- Diagnose causes of problems and/or failures in plumbing/irrigation systems for the purpose of identifying repair and/or replacement needs.
- Fabricate equipment parts for the purpose of meeting specialty needs and/or replacing unavailable parts.
- Inform personnel regarding procedures and/or status of work orders for the purpose of providing information for making decisions, taking appropriate action and/or complying with building and safety regulations.
- Inspect buildings and facilities for the purpose of evaluating condition, identifying necessary repairs and recommending preventive maintenance.
- Participate in meetings, workshops, trainings, and seminars for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions.
- Prepare of written materials (e.g. repair status, activity logs, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities and/or conveying information.
- Request equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of items required to complete the necessary installation and/or repair.
- Respond to emergency situations during and after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
- Ability to operate assigned trade equipment skillfully and safely in conformance with applicable laws, regulations and policies.
