**Northwest Container Services (NWCS)** , a **Waste Connections** company, is looking for a safety conscious **M&R Mechanic** to join the team in **NW Portland, Oregon** .
NWCS is an intermodal train yard that specializes in storage, repair and train movement for 20-ft, 40-ft, 45-ft, 48-ft and 53-ft containers and chassis. **POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:**
**Chassis Repair:**
+ Perform required maintenance and repairs on Intermodal chassis/trailers to meet FHWA/FMCSA(Federal Highway Administration) standards.
+ Typical repairs include preventative maintenance, repairing chassis components, airlines, brake systems, suspensions, wheels, tires, and electrical systems, welding, painting, and fabricating.
+ May respond to service calls.
**Container Repair:**
+ Welding, painting, and grinding responsibilities.
+ Welding abilities to include MIG, TIG
+ Cutting abilities to include Plasma Cutter, Cutting Torch
+ Utilize hand grinder, drill, sanders, Sawzall, hand tools, hammers, sledge hammer, tape measure.
+ Driving a forklift.
+ Available to help mechanics in maintenance shop as required.
+ General cleaning responsibilities.
+ Equipment safety checks: air compressors, welders, ladders, extension cords, miscellaneous hand tools.
+ Maintain and track inventory of container parts and supplies.
+ Assemble, repair, and replace decals on containers.
+ Ability to effectively communicate and understand needed repairs and/or tasks.
+ Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
**Refrigeration Repair: (Not Required)**
+ Diagnose, maintain, repair, rebuild, and/or replace electronic, electrical refrigeration, and mechanical parts as required.
+ Determine proper part numbers by consulting service and parts manuals.
+ Communicate with co-workers, management, customers, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
+ Operate powered industrial equipment when necessary.
+ Understand safety always takes precedence over operating productivity.
+ Inspect reefer repair area for safety conditions.
+ Takes necessary measures to prevent injuries and property damage.
+ Complies with environmental regulations as it pertains to their area of responsibility and ensures ITSC is in compliance with pertinent environmental regulations.

+ Valid Drivers License
+ Minimum (1)-year of Chassis/Trailer maintenance experience REQUIRED.

**Qualifications**
+ Strong experience servicing conveyor machines, PLC systems, and a variety of industrial electromechanical equipment.
+ Proficient in using a multi-meter or other electronic testing equipment.
+ Ability to read and interpret schematics, charts, service manuals, and parts diagrams.
+ Familiarity with Windows PC environments, particularly relating to the operation of automated equipment.
+ Excellent problem-solving skills, including troubleshooting equipment, reading schematics, setting priorities, and working under deadline pressure.

We are looking for a **Mechanical Repair Technician** to join our team in Wichita, KS. This position is responsible for performing technical, mechanical, and inspection functions pertaining to the aircraft component overhaul process.
**Work Shift: Monday - Friday (7:00 am - 3:30 pm) and overtime as needed**
**What You Will Do**
+ Conduct receiving inspection of in-coming assemblies/components in accordance with established procedures and technical data.
+ Perform disassembly, wash, blast, paint, build-up, pressure test, receiving inspection and final inspection and assembly of aircraft components according to customer's specifications, airworthiness directives, applicable manufacturers' CMM guidelines and operating procedures.
+ Manual handling and maneuvering (rolling, lifting) of aircraft brakes.
+ Maintain proper segregation and identification of components in progress.
+ Maintain current knowledge of and complying with customer/Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)/Joint Aviation Administration (JAA) technical data as applicable to the work assigned.
+ Perform painting functions including mixing of primer/paint as well as the application of primer/paint.
+ Perform general shop and equipment maintenance; practices the principles of the Five S's by creating and maintaining a neat, orderly work area.
+ Identify ways to remove non-value-added steps from all processes and strives to produce products in the least-waste-way.
+ Consistently demonstrates a commitment to continuous process improvement and practices.
+ Performs other duties or responsibilities as assigned.
+ This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines.
+ Works in a repair and overhaul shop environment.
+ Requires continuous standing, walking and occasional lifting of items weighing up to 35lbs.
+ The employee will be exposed to hazardous waste and will comply with all Regulatory, State, Local and Corporate requirements for handling hazardous waste.
**Qualifications You Must Have:**
+ Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline
**Qualifications We Prefer**
+ Experience performing mechanical repairs, assembly or other technical capacities within industries such as automotive, manufacturing, construction, etc.
+ Ability to interpret and follow component maintenance manuals and all other applicable technical documents
+ Experience operating hand tools, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and test equipment
+ Experience using measuring tools such as: micrometers, calipers, height gage, hydraulic gages, etc.

Job Description

**Facility Maintenance Mechanic**
**Summary:**
We are seeking a skilled Facility Maintenance Mechanic to perform daily maintenance, repairs, and inspections across our facility. The ideal candidate is hands-on, mechanically inclined, and experienced with pumps, forklifts, electrical systems, and general facility upkeep.
**Pay:** $24-$31 per hour depending on experience
**Shift:** Monday - Friday, with overtime as needed on weekdays and weekends
**Responsibilities:**
+ Complete daily maintenance tasks such as equipment inspections, readings, pump rebuilds, repairs, and installation/removal of pumps
+ Maintain and repair loading docks
+ Perform welding, cutting, and torching tasks as needed
+ Repair and maintain floor coating
+ Troubleshoot electrical systems
+ Replace valves and expansion joints
+ Conduct daily equipment inspections and preventive maintenance
+ Perform other maintenance duties as assigned
**Qualifications:**
+ Experience with air and electric pump repair and replacement
+ Welding, cutting, and torching experience is a plus
+ Knowledge of forklift maintenance (light repairs)
+ Familiarity with floor coating repair
+ Understanding of lockout/tagout procedures
+ Experience with valve and expansion joint replacement
+ Electrical troubleshooting skills
+ PVC and piping experience
+ Chain fall rigging and strapping experience
+ Ability to perform daily inspections of equipment, including compressors, air dryers, and pumps
