The Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping buildings and grounds clean and safe. This person is a semi-skilled employee who works directly with cleaning supplies such as soaps, chemicals, and waxes, and directly with hand tools.
**Essential Job Functions**
* Responsible for heavy cleaning tasks such as cleaning/waxing floors, mop or dry mop floors, vacuuming/shampooing rugs, removing trash, washing walls, windows and glass, cleaning restrooms, and dust furniture and equipment.
* Responsible for grounds duties such as removing snow and ice from sidewalks and cutting grass.
* Responsible for performing building maintenance tasks such as painting, performing minor repairs, changing light bulbs, and exterminating rodents and insects. May fix leaky plumbing, maintain heating and cooling equipment, and perform light carpentry duties.

**Essential Functions:**
+ Create programs for cutting and drilling machines and other CNC equipment using the appropriate programming tools
+ Interprets the size, shape, and dimension of parts and part shapes based off the blueprint and ensures the CNC part file matches the blueprint
+ Determines when additional tooling may be needed to effectively create parts and communicate the details to the Engineering and Management teams
+ Utilizes IFS to determine the dimension and grade of material that is either on-hand, or has been ordered, for specific nests to ensure the nests optimally utilize the material
+ Maintains a clean and orderly work area
+ Ensures accurate reporting and part identification
+ Issues material for plate nests and EMI shop orders
+ Ability to use AutoCAD to modify drawings for customers and special projects as well as create drawings from scratch
+ Participates in meetings and trainings as needed to maintain good communication
+ Use Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Access and Word to create work instructions, review loads and for other organizational purposes such as schedules
+ Performs routine maintenance tasks as needed
+ Assists other members of the maintenance crew with their tasks as needed.

**Required Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):**
+ High School diploma and 4+ years of relevant work/educational experience in PLC Programming
+ Must be able to read and interpret production blueprints
+ Must be able to complete PLC programming with minimal errors/issues.
+ Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Inventor 3D, IFS, E-Vault, and other CNC programming tools is required
+ Proficient in the use of tape measures, calculators, thread gauges, calipers and other precision measuring equipment

**Working Environment and Physical Efforts:**
Mainly working indoors in an industrial environment with occasional exposure to abnormal temperatures which may include heat, cold, rain, snow, ice, etc. Employee works around material stacked overhead height. There is exposure to moving mechanical parts as well as high noise levels. Smoke produced from weld processes is also a factor to consider with this position. Hearing protection is required. Exposure to coolant fluids. Safety glasses with side shields are required. Operator must stand, lift and bend 100% of the shift. Lifts on average 25 lbs. 30% of the shift. May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mold Maintenance Technician to join our team in the EPS foam molding industry. In this role, you will be responsible for the changing, cleaning, troubleshooting, and repair of aluminum and steel molds used in EPS molding equipment such as shape molders and block molders. The ideal candidate has experience with steam and vacuum systems, understands EPS processing, and is committed to ensuring the reliability and performance of critical mold tooling in a high-volume production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot mold issues including poor venting, misalignment, sticking parts, flash, and inconsistent part fill.
- Inspect, clean, and repair mold vents, steam chambers, and fill guns.
- Maintain mold alignment and ensure mold frames and platens are properly adjusted and lubricated.
- Disassemble and reassemble mold components, replacing damaged or worn parts as necessary.
- Collaborate with the production and quality departments to ensure molds are running efficiently and producing conforming foam parts.
- Document maintenance tasks, mold performance, and issues in maintenance logs
- Ensure safe operation of all tools and equipment, and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Assist with mold changeovers and ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of molds.

JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mold Maintenance Technician to join our team in the EPS foam molding industry. In this role, you will be responsible for the changing, cleaning, troubleshooting, and repair of aluminum and steel molds used in EPS molding equipment such as shape molders and block molders. The ideal candidate has experience with steam and vacuum systems, understands EPS processing, and is committed to ensuring the reliability and performance of critical mold tooling in a high-volume production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot mold issues including poor venting, misalignment, sticking parts, flash, and inconsistent part fill.
- Inspect, clean, and repair mold vents, steam chambers, and fill guns .
- Maintain mold alignment and ensure mold frames and platens are properly adjusted and lubricated.
- Disassemble and reassemble mold components, replacing damaged or worn parts as necessary.
- Collaborate with the production and quality departments to ensure molds are running efficiently and producing conforming foam parts.
- Document maintenance tasks, mold performance, and issues in maintenance logs
- Ensure safe operation of all tools and equipment, and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Assist with mold changeovers and ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of molds.
- Suggest and support continuous improvement initiatives related to mold design or maintenance processes
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; technical certification or training in mechanical or industrial maintenance preferred Proficient with basic hand and power tools, precision measuring.
- Proficient with basic hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and pneumatic systems.

- Familiarity with troubleshooting mechanical, pneumatic, and basic hydraulic mold systems.

- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on feet for extended periods.
- Ability to read, write & speak English proficiently
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of EPS processing , including the role of steam, vacuum, cooling, and fill cycles in mold performance
- Experience operating or maintaining shape molding machines, block molders, and pre-expanders .
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain one.
- Knowledge of CMMS or other digital maintenance tracking systems.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing or 5S practices.
Work Environment:
- EPS foam manufacturing facility with exposure to heat, humidity, and moving machinery.
- Use of PPE such as gloves, safety glasses, ear protection, and steel-toe boots are required.
- Work may involve standing, kneeling, and working in tight spaces.
- May require overtime or weekend work based on production needs
