Nestlé Purina Maintenance is building a team of Utilities Maintenance Technicians who will work together to maintain, troubleshoot, repair and optimize utilities systems within the factory. Day to day, you will work cross-functionally with other maintenance, engineering and production personnel to solve problems and implement solutions quickly and safely to keep factory assets operating efficiently.
The first several months of this role are project related with the goal of planning and developing the Maintenance department as the Williamsburg Township facility approaches operational startup. This position will start out working a Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm schedule.
**Once the Williamsburg Township plant reaches operation, the shift will switch to nights (6:00PM-6:00AM), operating on 2-2-3 schedule (week one: two days on, two days off, three days on; week two: two days off, two days on, three days off).**
**Primary Responsibilities**
+ Troubleshoot and optimize utilities systems and related mechanical and electrical equipment and components
+ Monitor, maintain and repair compressors, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, wastewater treatment, domestic water, hot water and fire systems
+ Execute preventative maintenance (PM) activities to proactively prevent failures and promote safe and efficient operations
+ Utilize diagrams and schematics, digital tools such as computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), mechanical and electrical tools, and diagnostic instruments (for vibration, thermal imaging, acoustics, etc.) to reduce unplanned stoppages through effective root cause analysis and corrective action
+ Collaborate with team members to maintain equipment and solve technical problems
+ Perform basic rigging, mechanical practices, pipefitting and welding skills in an industrial environment
+ Model safety and share utilities expertise to train other team members
**Requirements**
+ High school diploma or GED equivalent
+ 2+ years of experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of utilities systems and mechanical equipment to include compressors, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, wastewater treatment, etc. within a manufacturing, industrial, military or related environment
**Other**
+ High Pressure Boiler Operator License and/or Stationary Engineer Licenseissued from the state of Ohio preferred
+ Once the factory reaches operation, this position will transition to a 2-2-3 schedule format working 12-hour shifts (6:00PM-6:00AM)

Supporting a 1,200-acre campus, RED-Rochester has the utilities, infrastructure, technical services, support services, space and complementary regional resources to benefit a wide range of industry verticals. We are seeking a Pipefitter who enjoys the challenge of maintaining a dynamic infrastructure. Our infrastructure consists of a blend of classic and modern industrial assets and requires a person with broad industrial and utilities expertise - able to work collaboratively with others. This role is responsible for the installation, repair and maintenance of piping, piping components, valves & supports for Steam, Compressed Air, Hydraulic Water, or Oil Systems across all facilities and buildings located within Eastman Business Park owned and operated by RED Rochester, LLC.
Essential Duties:
• Maintain Clear and Consistent Communication relating to the current status, performance and needs of your assigned location with RED-Rochester team supervisor, maintenance planner and operations staff. Ensure all RED-Rochester customer communicated concerns are immediately communicated and appropriately responded to.
• Assists Maintenance Planner to develop standard preventive maintenance routines to ensure maximum equipment uptime and lifespan is attained for all responsible systems.
• Assists Maintenance Planner to develop corrective (repair) maintenance job plans as needed to ensure all equipment repairs are completed in a timely basis to maintain all system redundancies for optimum emergency performance.
• Coordinates with Maintenance Planner, all shutdown planning (routine & emergency) for the execution of maintenance activities to include Customer end-user notifications.
• Complete all planned maintenance routines for assigned locations, documenting all actions within the RED-Rochester work order management system (MAXIMO®).

The Maintenance - Utilities Supervisor oversees a maintenance or utilities team responsible for the continuous operations of a Grifols manufacturing facility. The Supervisor may coordinate the installation, maintenance, calibration and repair work in their area of responsibility or provide oversight of a location's utility systems. He/she manages team(s) of technicians, contractors and other staff, perform regular area inspections, maintains troubleshoot equipment, and assigns work to employees. The Maintenance - Utilities Supervisor must have technical skills and knowledge of various crafts within their scope of responsibility. The Supervisor shall be available 24/7 to respond to emergencies and provide directions when required. Ultimately the Maintenance - Utilities Supervisor's primary goal is to ensure that production equipment and/or utilities systems are in good and safe condition at all times and meet the needs of manufacturing operations. + Prioritize both scheduled and unscheduled work to ensure minimum impact of manufacturing operations while using the most cost effective and compliant methods.
+ Manage and balance technicians' PTO to ensure adequate site coverage as well as on-call scheduling when needed.
+ Review work orders/logbook entries in the computerized maintenance management system to ensure accuracy, clear and concise comments while making any updates or corrections as needed.
+ Provide oversight to ensure standard operating procedures are followed in accordance with safety, regulatory and engineering guidelines.
+ Supervise employees to ensure compliance with OSHA and Environmental & Safety policies and procedures as performed during maintenance or utility operations activities.
+ Conduct safety meetings and area inspections.
+ Support/Contribute/Communicate long and short-term goals and expectations for area of responsibility.
+ Respond to critical issues on a 24/7 basis. For utilities operations this may also include responding to manufacturing areas without 24/7 coverage, and other designated Grifols onsite and offsite locations, etc.

**Position Summary:**
The Facilities Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the ammonia refrigeration system and related equipment. We are hiring for first (6a-2:30p) and second shift (2-10:30p).
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Monitors, adjusts and logs ammonia systems pressures and temperatures.
+ Follows Epac work orders.
+ Repairs and maintains all refrigeration related equipment including compressors, condensers, evaporator, pumps, valves, vessels and piping.
+ Repairs and maintains the glycol system associated with the refrigeration system including pumps, valves, tanks and piping.
+ Repairs and maintains the steam boiler and related equipment and piping.
+ Repairs and installs evaporator condensate drains.
+ Maintains HVAC systems based on Epac or instructions given.
+ Suggests ways to control labor and supply costs as well as improve processes.
+ Ensures that all work activities are performed with attention to the highest standards for quality, safety and compliance with all appropriate legal and food safety requirements and a focus on continuous improvement.
+ Ensures that all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) are followed.
+ Follows all company policies & procedures as well as the GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices).
+ Maintains a high level of safety awareness for an accident-free work place.
+ Reports any unsafe or hazardous work conditions or safety-related issues to Management.
+ Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.
**Essential Skills and experience:**
**Education:**
+ High school diploma, GED or trade school equivalent.
+ Two years Trade School in refrigeration field.
**Skills and Experience:**
+ Ability to work overtime, irregular hours or rotating shifts.
+ Four years to five years experience in the following areas Ammonia refrigeration, electrical and plumbing.
+ Ability to read and understand a pressure temperature chart.
+ Ability to use a multimeter and refrigeration gauges.
+ EPA certified for refrigerants.
+ Previous food manufacturing experience is helpful.
+ Ability to speak, write and understand English.
+ Good verbal and written communication skills.
+ Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, formulas, and policy and procedures manuals.
+ Ability to write standard information into related paperwork.
+ Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
+ Good analytical and problem solving skills.
+ Experience with Microsoft applications.
+ Ability to communicate and work effectively with a variety of diverse individuals within the plant and corporate environments.
+ Ability to effectively present information to management.
+ Bilingual (English/Spanish) is helpful.
+ Ability to thrive in a constantly changing environment.
The approximate hourly pay for this position is $31.00 to $38.00/hr. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
