**Position Summary**
The Facility Maintenance Worker is responsible for the overall maintenance of the working space for the business, cleaning the facility offices, restrooms, partial areas of the hangar, removing debris, and keeping all areas neat and tidy.

+ We formally operate 24 hours daily, 7 days weekly.
**Compensation Data**
The posted salary ranges will default to that of your regional location and will not include any premiums. The baseline range for this non-exempt position will be as follows: $23 -$5 hourly which is equivalent to 47,840 - 52,000 annually, plus a performance-based bonus up to 5% of annual salary.
**Minimum Requirements**

+ Conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures and implement corrective actions.

**Essential Functions**
+ Responds to and resolves minor facility repair and installation requests for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, furniture, fixtures, appliances and other department equipment as assigned.
+ Completes minor preventative maintenance and building rounds as assigned and specified in hospital procedures.
+ Assists building engineers and carpenters in performing corrective maintenance and installations as assigned.
+ Operates building equipment and utility systems in a manner that will optimize the provision of a code compliant, safe, comfortable and healing environment for patients, visitors and staff.
+ Documents work on computerized work orders in such a way as to provide accurate repair and preventative maintenance history.
+ Requisitions, orders and uses maintenance and repair parts in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
+ Oversees and assures assigned outside vendor service is properly completed and meets hospital standards for repair and maintenance.
+ Maintains and continually enhances operation, maintenance and repair knowledge of hospital utility systems and components, non-medical equipment and other fixtures and appliances.
+ Responds to and assists in resolving alarm or emergency situations involving utility systems, life safety systems, equipment and general facility equipment including all non-medical fixtures and appliances.
+ Performs general duties to include maintaining a working knowledge of infection control, risk management and emergency preparedness plans; actively participating in performance improvement initiatives demonstrating knowledge of hospital interdepartmental and unit goals, standards and operations.
+ Maintains knowledge of current required safety practice and consistently performs daily work in compliance with these safety practices.
+ Effectively communicates by establishing and maintaining open, effective communications between customers and staff. Utilizing correct channels of communication and recognized organization communication standard. Keeping abreast of and complying with departmental and organizational changes and events through reading posted communications and attending unit and assigned meetings.
+ Performs new equipment in-coming inspections and installations as assigned.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Cuts grass, maintains lawn, trims around trees, walkways and memorial markers, lays sod, moves and removes flowers to and from chapel and graveside
+ Clears debris and maintains drives and walkways which may require snow removal depending on location
+ Erects tents, canopies and arranges chairs for graveside ceremony
+ Assists with setup for openings and closings for interments, entombments and inurnments
+ Arranges chapel for services
+ Prepares crypts for entombments
+ Under supervision, may operate backhoe to dig graves without damage to surrounding vaults, markers or monuments
+ Installs grave markers, bronze memorials, crypt faces, etc.
+ Maintains and repairs existing markers and other cemetery features
+ Maintains, services, cleans and properly stores equipment
+ General maintenance of vehicles
+ Cleans and maintains facility to include performing minor repairs, painting, etc.
