Basic Function

This role is part of the LaPorte Reliability Group supporting plant operation, maintenance, and reliability of turbomachinery. Working in a team environment, it carries responsibility for implementing reliability best practices, developing and optimizing preventive and predictive maintenance tasks, supporting maintenance activities, and ensuring operating procedures are adequate for reliable operation. The position interacts with other technical groups on site (process engineering, maintenance, and capital project groups), corporate technical networks, peers, and vendors/suppliers as needed to resolve problems and improve plant reliability and performance.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead development of long range plan for unit machinery upgrades, overhauls, and overall equipment strategy
  • Apply data analysis techniques to develop engineering solutions to repetitive failures and other problems related to turbomachinery.
  • Consult with peers at the site and across the company.
  • Serve as a resource and conduit to share machinery best practices and leverage operating improvement opportunities across the site and company.
  • Provide technical support/expertise in the design and installation stages of projects for new assets and modification of existing assets to minimize life cycle cost and maximize asset availability of machinery.
  • Participate in the development of design and installation specifications and commissioning plans for machinery. Participate in the development of criteria for and evaluation of equipment and technical MRO suppliers and technical maintenance service providers. Develop acceptance tests and inspection criteria.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging technology, assessing applicability to improve reliability and performance, or to reduce maintenance cost of machinery.
  • Lead or participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Apply value analysis to repair/replace, repair/redesign and make/buy decisions for machinery.
  • Provide technical support to production, maintenance, project, and process engineering groups for machinery issues.
  • Provide technical support for the development of routine and turnaround overhaul repair scope for machinery.
  • Manage risk to the achievement of the organization's strategic objectives in the areas of environmental health and safety, asset capability, quality, and production.
  • Support and mentor other mechanical engineers, machinery specialists, and machinery condition monitoring analysts in the day to day resolution of machinery issues.
  • Ensure consistent adherence to site machinery workflow processes.
  • Systematically define, design, develop, monitor, and refine an asset maintenance plan for machinery that includes:
    • Value-added preventive maintenance tasks
    • Effective utilization of predictive methodologies to identify and isolate inherent reliability problems

Min. Qualifications

BS degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience in the refining, petrochemical, chemical process, or power generation industries is preferred. Strong interpersonal leadership skills are critical due to the requirement for effective communication of complex issues across the organization as well as for mentoring and consensus building. The successful candidate must exhibit an understanding of business drivers, management of change requirements, reliability processes, and maintenance workflow. The individual must have strong working knowledge and proficiency in the following areas:
  • Turbomachinery system design, commissioning, maintenance, and operation (including pumps, compressors, steam turbines, gearboxes, mechanical seals, and support systems)
  • Applicable standards for machinery (i.e. API, ANSI, ISO)
  • Predictive and preventive maintenance of machinery
  • Vibration monitoring, analysis, and diagnostics - Level II or higher certification through the Vibration Institute preferred
  • Equipment troubleshooting and root cause failure analysis
  • Ability to apply computer software tools (SAP, Microsoft Office, Meridium)

Job Description:

The I&E Engineer will provide I/E/A Maintenance support to the Texas City site (PX, MX, EB, SM) operating facilities to ensure equipment integrity is preserved. The Instrument/Electrical/Analyzer Maintenance Engineer continually interacts with the operations group to ensure timely and cost-effective maintenance troubleshooting and repairs to the I/E/A assets in the process unit, utilities and the docks. The employee is involved daily with unit maintenance, particularly the electrical, instrument, and analyzer departments to assist in troubleshooting and development of procedures and practices. The employee interacts with operations and process engineering groups to plan, prioritize, and execute TAR projects.
  • This position - and all positions - within the INEOS organization requires that the incumbent commit to learning, following and practicing INEOS 20 Principles of Process and Behavioural Safety as applicable to the position. Qualifications:

**ROLE SUMMARY:** We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to support brewery operations. This position will work to repair and maintain equipment related to the brewing and packaging process as well as conducting facility maintenance.
**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Core duties and responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned.
+ Repairs, replaces, adjusts, and aligns components of machinery and equipment.
+ Cleans and lubricates parts, equipment, and machinery.
+ Performs routine preventative maintenance and repairs to manufacturing equipment as needed.
+ Observes electrical and mechanical devices/systems in operation to located causes of trouble.
+ Repairs and replaces defective parts.
+ Service and repair plant facilities equipment such as air compressors, heat exchangers, boilers and chillers.
+ Adjust and test machinery.
+ Make repairs such as chains, sprockets, bearings, and belts. Rebuilds pneumatic cylinders, valves, pumps, gearboxes and other drive train components.
+ Utilize CMMS system to view work orders assignments, document parts usage and labor hours, add notes of work completed, and close out the work order.
+ Follow procedures for documenting parts usage and reporting inventory levels.
+ Stick and tig welding repair including sanitary welding.
**JOB QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
+ Vocational training or applicable Associates Degree.
+ 5+ years direct manufacturing maintenance experience, preferably in food and beverage.
+ Good mechanical aptitude and effective use of basic hand tools.
+ Ability to troubleshoot and repair all minor mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic problems with minimal assistance.
+ Ability to utilize all math skills, such as basic math, geometry and algebra to complete necessary job tasks.
+ Reads and understands electrical, equipment manuals, pneumatic schematics as well as mechanical drawings.
+ Ability to make decisions and solve problems.
+ Be able to communicate effectively with supervisors and peers.
+ Abide by all Safety, Health, and Environmental policies.
+ Basic computer skills (MS Windows Platform, MS Outlook for email).
+ Basic electrical construction, including condui.t
+ Troubleshooting and calibrating AC & DC drives.
+ Troubleshooting and networking PLC programming.
+ Troubleshooting ladder and PLC logic.
+ Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
