Do you have electrical or board repair experience? Enjoy creating or fixing things and solving problems? If you have ever successfully fixed your car or a household appliance, built a PC or flat-packed furniture, then you already have the skills needed to train and become an expert Workshop Technician!
This role comes with a great benefits package, including a matched 401K, contributory healthcare & dental plan and life assurance. 40 hours per week Monday to Friday, with no evenings or weekends working.
Working in our Cincinnati facility, this is more than just a job, it is the chance to advance your electrical engineering career. Hourly Rate: $17-$9
Schedule: 8:00a-4:30p (M-F)
What will your role be?
The workshop team has a wide and varied remit, working to repair or refurbish a range of ATM parts and modules. You'll be taking apart electrical and mechanical components, assessing them, cleaning them, repairing them, testing them and reassembling. You will have the opportunity to learn a number of new skills, or advance existing ones, such as fault diagnostics or soldering, as well as gaining experience in multiple parts with the chance to specialize as you progress.

To succeed in this role, you'll need to be bright, keen to learn and develop and enjoy working in an active and practical environment. You will be comfortable using a number of tools, this a proactive role and would suit you if you like to fix things and enjoy being hands-on.If you have experience in any roles related to electrical production, repair services or refurbishment, great. If it's from within an electro-mechanical environment, even better. If you already know how to diagnose and fix an ATM fault, perfect! Oceaneering is a global provider of engineered services and products, primarily to the offshore energy industry. Position SummaryThe primary role of the workshop technician is to carry out maintenance and refurbishment activities on subsea and surface equipment systems and/ or associated tooling packages in the Morgan City workshop.
Duties And ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL:
- Carry out maintenance, (mobilization, demobilization, periodic and in-storage) and refurbishment activities on company owned equipment.
- Ensure that all work is performed to conform to company operating and maintenance standards and in accordance with all current legislation.
- Update equipment maintenance systems to record details of all repairs and maintenance of company owned equipment.
- Assist with preparation and mobilization of ROV systems and/ or associated tooling packages.
- Participate in daily toolbox talks for workshop group.
- Participate in observation system and conduct STOP audits on a regular basis.
- Participate in safety training courses and initiatives.
- Ensure that all tasks are performed using correct procedures.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, local and company HSE requirements prior to starting and during operations.
- Participate in creation of Risk Assessments and JSEA.
- Participate in QHSE initiatives such as continuous improvement implementation and monitoring.
- Adopt and promote 5S and lean principles.
- Assist with any other duties as and when required.
NON-ESSENTIAL:
- Participate in the company competence scheme to allow progression through company career framework.
- If required, travel overseas to provide onsite technical support.
- If required, attend project kick-off meetings to provide technical support.
SAFETY:
- Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment.
OTHER:
- Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.
- Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company.

Qualifications
REQUIRED:
- Working knowledge of one or more of the following: electronics, electrical systems, mechatronics, communications/computer networking, subsea tooling, and control systems.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
- Demonstratable awareness of 5S and lean principles.
DESIRED:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Working knowledge of subsea and surface equipment such as ROV systems, IWOCS, Workover Systems and Tooling packages.
- Technical degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, Electrical syatems.
- Knowledge of subsea controls and operations.
- Knowledge of Manifold, Umbilical and Subsea XT installation operations.
- 5S Champion.
- Forklift Truck certification.
- Overhead crane certification.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections, maintenance, and repairs to ensure equipment and systems meet operational and technical standards.
