Business Management Associate Position:

The Business Management Associate is an entry-level functional expert. Associates will complete an intensive 12-18 month training program within one of our core functions in Strategic Pricing, Supply Chain, Commodity Merchandising, Feed Formulation, Sourcing, Strategic Marketing and Technology, or Data and Business Analytics and complete cross-trainings in other functional areas . The program includes learning of both strategic and tactical business concepts within Cargill’s Animal Nutrition business. Associates will be evaluated on their technical skills, business acumen, and leadership actions and potential. Once you have demonstrated an understanding of the business, you would move into a position within one of the core functions listed above. Our client is looking for a dedicated and experienced Remote HR Business Partner with a specialization in Talent Management to join their forward-thinking People Operations team. This role is fully remote, allowing you to contribute from anywhere within the US. As an HR Business Partner, you will act as a strategic advisor to business leaders, championing and implementing programs that support employee growth, development, and retention. You will be deeply involved in all aspects of the talent lifecycle, from performance management and succession planning to learning and development initiatives. Your expertise will be crucial in fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring that our client's most valuable asset – its people – are empowered to achieve their full potential. This position requires a proactive, empathetic, and highly organized HR professional who thrives in a remote-first environment and excels at building strong relationships virtually. You will be a key player in aligning HR strategies with business objectives, driving employee engagement, and promoting a culture of continuous learning. Key responsibilities include:
  • Partnering with senior leadership to develop and execute comprehensive talent management strategies.
  • Overseeing and refining the performance management process, including goal setting, feedback mechanisms, and annual reviews.
  • Developing and implementing succession planning programs to identify and nurture future leaders.
  • Designing and facilitating learning and development initiatives to enhance employee skills and career growth.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on HR-related matters, including employee relations, policy interpretation, and compliance.
  • Analyzing HR data and metrics to identify trends, measure the effectiveness of HR programs, and recommend data-driven improvements.
  • Driving employee engagement initiatives and fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Collaborating with the broader HR team on compensation strategies, workforce planning, and organizational design.
  • Ensuring all HR practices are compliant with relevant labor laws and regulations.
  • Championing diversity, equity, and inclusion principles throughout all talent management processes.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with at least 5 years focused on talent management, organizational development, or HR business partnering.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing performance management, succession planning, and L&D programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with leaders at all levels.
  • Excellent understanding of HR best practices, employment law, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret HR data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and HR software.
  • Experience working in a remote or hybrid work environment.
  • PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP/SCP certification is a strong asset.

+ Have an active driver's license
+ Be at least 21 years of age
+ Obtain a DOT medical certification
+ Provide documentation regarding their previous employment
Preferred
+ Co-op or internship experience in a Customer Service, Sales, Production or Administrative role
+ A business or otherwise related academic major
+ A leadership/management role on campus or related extracurricular activities
Willingness to relocate regionally during, or at the end of, the program

**Compensation**
A reasonable estimate of base salary for this role is $61,000/Year. The range takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, and other business and organization needs. Please note, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decision are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each decision.
