Client is seeking an Operations IT Business Analyst to support the firm's Collateral Management lines for Derivatives (ISDA/CSA) and Financed (GMRA/MSFTA) products. Includes directly supporting users on various platform's workflow processes, maintaining data and responding to internal data audit requests. May lead various small to mid-sized project's requirements gathering as well. This is a challenging position requiring a strong, proven experience in business analysis, design, delivery, some project management and people management domains. The role asks the candidate to propose and deliver solutions for Information Technology, specifically for Back Office / Operations IT. Previous experience working on Colline product is very good to have. The candidate will play a critical role in driving system enhancements, analyzing complex datasets, and supporting the full project lifecycle including testing and documentation.
Successful candidates must be experienced in identifying and analyzing technology and process problems, developing business requirements and solutions for tactical and/or strategic projects, in collaboration with Business and Technology stakeholders across the organization. Must be able to identify and document gaps in procedures, and create solutions for scalable and repeatable processes, in adherence with the compliance framework and IT best practices established. The candidate is expected to ensure that all the necessary processes are thoroughly implemented and to take full advantage of the capabilities of the systems. The candidate must be a people manager, technically proficient, able to multi-task well, explain solutions clearly, is well organized, and has the ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
Previous exposure/knowledge of SWIFT protocols, Payments processing, Transaction Clearing and Collateral Management at a bank strongly desired.
Major Responsibilities:
- Take complete accountability and guide all users on the firm's Collateral IT workflow.
- Perform business analysis to understand the requirements for all IT projects that help to improve efficiencies for new and existing applications related to the Collateral Operations department.
- Identify, document and manage risks. Recognize issues and proactively create solutions to mitigate adverse impacts.
- Identify, document and remediate gaps in processes and ensure the alignment of IT department with internal guidelines and industry best practices.
- COLLINE Support: Analyze, configure, and validate business workflows within COLLINE . Collaborate with technical teams for system setup, upgrades, and integration.
- Testing & Validation:
- Design and execute test cases , test scripts, and acceptance criteria for SIT and UAT.
- Validate COLLINE system behavior against business requirements and regulatory standards.
- Track defects and work with developers for timely resolution.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, or related business discipline(s).
- 8-12 years' work experience with IT or process engineering
- Process mapping/ process improvement experience
- Basic SQL query knowledge
- Experience as a business analyst working with Collateral Management applications, ideally AcadiaSoft products.
- Ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple tasks
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Highly motivated, self-directed individual with the ability to work independently and/or in team environments
- Effective presentation skills, combined with extreme attention to detail
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills

The Senior IT Business Analyst serves as a technical domain subject matter expert, combining deep business knowledge with advanced technical expertise across capital planning, asset management, investments, and data science functions. Reporting to the Technical Product Manager, this role bridges sophisticated business requirements with technical implementation through extensive knowledge of modern software development practices, data architectures, and enterprise systems. The position requires comprehensive understanding of REIT operations complemented by hands-on technical capabilities across the technology stack, from database design to front-end development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and document complex data models and integration patterns between enterprise systems, with particular focus on Yardi's property management modules, financial systems, and operational databases.
- Develop and maintain technical specifications for data pipelines and ETL processes, ensuring proper implementation of medallion architecture principles across bronze, silver, and gold data layers in Snowflake.
- Create detailed technical requirements for React-based applications, collaborating with development teams on component design, state management, and API integration patterns.
- Lead the implementation of data governance practices across Azure Data Factory pipelines, Snowflake data warehouse, and Power BI semantic layers.
- Support design and documentation of API interfaces between systems, ensuring proper data contract design, security implementations, and integration patterns.
- Support agile ceremonies within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and sprint reviews, while maintaining alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
- Design and validate complex SQL queries and stored procedures for data analysis and reporting requirements across Yardi, Snowflake, and Azure Synapse platforms.
- Develop proof-of-concept solutions and technical prototypes to validate proposed architectures and solutions.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Real Estate, Finance, or a related technical field required; advanced degree a plus.
- Business Analysis certification (CBAP, CCBA) preferred.
- Technical certifications in Azure, Snowflake, or related platforms highly valued.
- 5+ years of technical business analysis experience in real estate technology or related fields.
- Hands-on experience with Yardi modules and database structures.
- Demonstrated experience with Azure cloud services (Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake).
- Proven track record designing and documenting API integrations.
