Overview

As a Training Programs Coordinator, you will coordinate all store running programs by motivating, encouraging and always providing a safe atmosphere for all participants. You will be responsible for recruiting and hiring coaches, implementing running programs, scheduling events and overseeing all running programs. Our Training Programs Coordinator is comfortable speaking in front of large crowds of people, is friendly and outgoing, and promotes positive social experiences for all participants. This position will work with the Marketing team to promote new products to participants. The Training Programs Coordinator will secure training venues, communicate to participants on a weekly basis and be comfortable managing coaches, mentors, and volunteers. **Primary purpose of the position:**
Drives operational excellence though the deployment and execution of a standardized and comprehensive technical training program. Drives quality and consistency of training delivery. **Essential Responsible Areas:**
+ Leads and strategically advises plant leadership on effectiveness of plant training programs and future training needs, by monitoring and measuring KPIs as determined through collaboration with operational leadership.
+ Manages the organization and staffing of employee onboarding and other operational training based on current production needs, training changes in the production process and training designed to supplement individual shortcomings of knowledge and skills of employees.
+ Supervises the plant trainers and training function as directed, utilizing Balls Inspire, Connect, and Achieve Leadership Framework.
+ Supports the successful deployment and execution of the LMS system included administration duties as defined by the program.
+ Supports training-related employee onboarding activities as defined by the training program, championing Ball Corporations company culture and Drive For Ten values.
+ Drives an effective training program that enables teams to safely and effectively perform consistent, high- quality, role-based work consistently across assigned plants to maximize operational performance.
+ Drives effective use of the training assets in the plant including the training room, aids, materials and related technology.
+ Drives consistent training delivery by supporting the development of plant training resources with approved methods, skills and techniques, and collaboration with the regional technical training department.
+ Drives and administers plant based training grant opportunities in collaboration with the regional technical training department.
+ Indirectly drives employee adherence to the defined training program by monitoring and reporting status of training completion against defined targets of timing and performance.
+ Champions use and functionality of training program and ensures accuracy/effectiveness through a validation strategy that includes visual observation along with both formal and informal feedback.

We currently have openings at 3 of our 8 corrugated manufacturing plants in Ohio for 2026 college graduates.  These facilities manufacture corrugated packaging products for local and national customers.

The Leadership Development Professional role is an entry level leadership developmental position. Working under close guidance with assigned mentors, you will be accountable for growing and strengthening your leadership skills and general business understanding of the manufacturing processes and operations of a Wood Products mill, and other major function areas, through a detailed 12-month development plan including hands-on learning, operational rotations, and successful completion of process improvement projects.
This is a full time, non-exempt position and will report to the Mill Manager. Relocation benefits are available for this and subsequent positions.
This role is a part of the Wood Products business, working in the Southern Lumber Region at the McComb Lumber Mill located in McComb, MS. The McComb mill is a random-length sawmill producing lumber used in residential construction. McComb is located in Southwest Mississippi and is approximately 1 hour South of Jackson, MS and 1 1/2 hours North of New Orleans, LA.
The successful individual will be assigned to the next role once development is successfully completed, and a suitable assignment is identified that meets business needs.
