Job Purpose: 

Serve as a Process Engineer responsible for assembly process development and determining the sequence of assembly for new spec parts based upon existing process/parts lay out/process standard time (ST) and/or the maintenance and optimization of established process.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Use M.O.S.T. To develop balanced processes across manufacturing areas. Work to achieve high process efficiency. Apply lean manufacturing techniques. Design processes that are simple and achieve SQCDM targets.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce waste within the process and improve efficiency. Apply 5S work methods, workstation design, and set best practices for production.
  • Audit big data to ensure accurate information across all operation standards. Mobilize Excel formulas and VBA coding to optimize tasks.
  • Support New Model events. Forecast design impact to department. Incorporate change points into process design. Identify concerns and countermeasures before mass production.
  • Perform time estimates for assembly line work, equipment loads and develop operation standards.
  • Conduct studies to determine the most efficient sequence of operations and workflow and recommends methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel
  • Regularly lead meetings with other Honda functional groups to develop and launch improvement themes (quality, safety, delivery, production, purchasing, packaging, or logistics)
  • Collect feedback from the production floor and address their concerns.
  • Evaluate and implement ergonomic countermeasures to prevent associate injury.
  • Develop plans and schedules for projects. Set timelines and detailed activities. Hold meetings with cross functional engineering groups to ensure completeness.
  • Project support for all items impacting assembly department’s associate process.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (e.g., Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or similar); or 6 years relevant experience required
  • 0-6 years’ experience based on education
  • Knowledge of: Process Data Development and Analysis (PDDA); process engineering (MOST); parts numbers, BOM, and applications; Assembly (AF) quality control systems and specification; Assembly (AF) techniques and processes; New model project development; quality control systems and workflows; Assembly (AF) department layout and equipment.
  • Skill in: Analytical problem solving and decision making; communicating change to others, root cause analysis, collaboration with others, and self-driven.

Working Conditions:

  • Shift schedule is primarily a first shift position but at times require supporting additional shifts/hours
  • Position could require some travel to other HDMA locations or supplier locations
  • Position could require daily overtime or Saturday overtime

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or other relevant degree.

• Due to contracts with the United States Government, the candidate must be either a US Citizen or Green card.

• 3 or more years of progressive experience in manufacturing engineering.

• Experience in metal fabrication, welding and/or brazing of pressure containing products.

• Experience in a highly regulated industry, such as, Military, Aerospace, Nuclear or Automotive or other similar.

• Excellent people and communication skills are required (both oral and written).

• Strong interpersonal skills requiring the ability to resolve conflicting interests and obtain cooperation

• Computer literacy in a MRP system (Oracle a plus), Microsoft Office.

  • Own and execute maintenance and calibration plans for all production and test equipment.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 2–5 years of hands-on experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, preferably in medical devices or electronics.

JOB PURPOSE: Design safe and efficient processes for Main Assembly and Sub-Assemblies for the AF Department. Use analytic

tools and traditional industrial engineering methods to optimize production functions

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Use Maynard Operation Sequence Technique  to develop balanced processes across Assembly Frame manufacturing areas. Work to

achieve Maximum Process Efficiency. Apply Lean Manufacturing techniques. Design

processes that are simple and achieve Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Morale, Environment targets. 

Perform time estimates for process/line work, equipment loads, and develop operation

standards for the Assembly and Frame Department during development

Identify opportunities to reduce waste within the process and improve efficiency. Apply 5s

work methods, workstation design, and set best practices for production. 

Evaluate and implement ergonomic countermeasures to prevent associate injury. 

Maintain accurate AutoCAD department layout. 

Collect feedback from the production floor in AF and address their concerns. 

Read Parts drawings, Spec Notices, 3D CATIA data.


Minimum Educational

Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering field or equivalent related experience.

Minimum Experience 0-2 years relevant experience

Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced, skilled CNC Tool and Cutter Grinder who is proficient in using different grinding software platforms. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating master CNC grinding programs and investigating automation techniques and ways to optimize the manufacturing for grinding CNC machines to produce high-quality cutting tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proficient with programming Anca, Numroto platforms, and is willing to learn other programming grinding platforms and help set up CNC machines to produce high-quality tools and parts.
  • Analyze and interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure the accurate production of parts.
  • Work closely with production and quality teams to ensure that all parts are manufactured to the required specifications and quality standards.
  • Standardize grinding programs, structure wheel packs, and write setup procedures to ensure optimal operator practices and resources.
  • Continuously monitor and review/adjust machine settings to optimize production efficiency and quality.
  • Troubleshoot programing issues and setup issues that may arise during production.
  • Implementing a centralized database system for master CNC grinding programs.
  • Planning factory machine layouts to optimize production.
  • Managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
  • Work closely with the engineering design team and shop floor management to develop and improve production processes, and support sites with programming log queus and orders priorities.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in CNC grinding programming or related field is .
  • 5+ years of experience in CNC tool and grinder programming.
  • Must be proficient in using Anca, Numroto, and be open to learning other platforms
  • Strong knowledge of CNC machining processes and programming .
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and other environmental factors.
