**Major Responsibilities:**
+ Identify new technologies to develop and implement automated manufacturing solutions related to crystal growth, optical fabrication, and thin film coating
+ Improve processes to enhance cost-efficiency, quality, speed, agility, and consistency

Salary Range: $77,600.00 - $116,400.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. You, as an integral part of a larger manufacturing team, will engage with the hourly workforce, manufacturing operations, Design Engineering, and Project Management to develop and refine the machining processes needed to satisfy the technical requirements of incoming customer service orders for steam turbine rotors. These rotors range in size starting at a few hundred pounds up to approximately 200 tons and can be newly manufactured or refurbished. Some rotors come into our facility with very challenging needs, which takes your expertise to generate tooling and procedures for repair. You will shift between forward looking innovations to reduce process execution time, to daily issues that must be resolved by the end of the day to keep up with customer delivery. Your day will include a relatively even mix between desk work and hands-on factory support. **How You'll Make an Impact**
- Develop and optimize CNC programs for Lathe, Milling, and Turn Mill operations using G-code and M-code.
- Analyze engineering drawings to determine machining processes, tooling needs, and setup procedures.
- Implement standardization initiatives for consistency and efficiency in CNC operations.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify and implement process improvements.
- Conduct tooling and fixture design reviews to enhance manufacturability and reduce cycle times.

Manufacturing is an integral part of the Siemens Energy Charlotte facility. Small Machining is a business unit within the Steam (SU) Product Line Service, with the mission to be the primary service center in North America for the Nuclear and Fossil Main Steam Valves and Actuators.
The Small Machining business primarily manufacturers valve parts for Nuclear and Fossil Main Steam Valves and Actuators but also expanding into Industrial Power components and Aerospace parts. We are seeking a proactive individual to join the team as a Manufacturing Programmer. You will be an integral member of the team with the following key responsibilities.
**How You'll Make an Impact**
+ Develop and optimize CNC programs for Lathe and Turn Mill operations using G-code and M-code.
+ Analyze engineering drawings to determine machining processes, tooling needs, and setup procedures.
+ Implement standardization initiatives to enhance consistency and efficiency in CNC operations.
+ Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify and apply process improvements.
+ Conduct tooling and fixture design reviews to improve manufacturability and reduce cycle times.
+ Train machine operators on CNC programming and maintain documentation of programs and processes.
**What You Bring**
+ Associate's degree in Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
+ At least 5 years of experience in CNC programming for Lathe and/or Turn Mill operations.
+ Proficient in NX CAD/CAM software and CNC control systems such as Fanuc and Siemens.
+ Skilled in machining simulation software, including Vericut and NX ISV.
+ Strong knowledge of machining processes, tooling, materials, and experience with process standardization and continuous improvement methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma.
+ Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills, with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and understand GD&T.

As the Manufacturing Process Engineer at our new Siemens Energy Transformers Repair Center Factory at Charlotte, North Carolina, USA, you will be responsible for leading and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure the efficient production. This role involves overseeing the development and implementation of systems that support our internal processes, identifying and improving manufacturing processes, and leading capacity enhancement projects. Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Manager, the Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer will ensure that production operations are carried out efficiently, effectively, and in line with quality standards.
This role will be based at our new factory in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA, and will initially coincide with the factory's construction. **What You Bring**
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in electrical, electronic, mechanical or mechatronic engineering.
+ 5+ years previous experience working with transformers in a manufacturing environment is required. Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work optimally with all levels of the organization and with external partners.
+ Proficient with Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office programs, and Autodesk CAD programs.
+ Willingness to relocate to the Charlotte, NC area if not already local.
