**Job Description:**
+ Support production and provide sustaining engineering for the Rod Polishing Fabrication Department
+ Design, develop, and implement technical solutions relating to optical fabrication including processes, tooling, and equipment
+ Oversee the formulation of process instructions and procedures, providing training to production personnel as needed
+ Serve as subject matter expert for optical engineering across the business, supporting internal or customer needs
+ Prepare cost estimations and work with Business Develop or customers to resolve technical problems
+ Act in a self-directed manner to implement improvements, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
+ Oversee capital equipment purchases as needed, ensuring proper qualification and implementation

+ **Department is a 24/7 shop, and weekend support as needed to meet customer deadlines**
+ **Develop, write, test (simulates), accurate and optimize CNC programs of numeric controlled tooling machinery, primarily HBMs by using CAD/CAM technology and methodology. This will be done in collaboration with offsite programmers. Check completed programs by running simulations or tests on Vericut**

Seeking Rising Juniors with graduation dates of December 2027-May of 2028. The ITW Engineering Internship will be located at our Charlotte, NC facility from mid May until beginning of August 2026. This role will report to the Manufacturing Engineer and work with the local operations staff. The internship projects/tasks will be critical to the support of the manufacturing and processing of welded baskets and other concrete flatwork products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
