Job Description
- Review all machines for assembly for 28MY and 29M CEP Cyclone programs.
- Review all machines for assembly for GEMBA and CAFM items.
- Collect shipping paperwork of Assembly and Test equipment and provide to PTME for PAR documentation.
- Support the development of all Quality documentation per launch readiness.
- Develop and manage open issues list for the responsible machines.
- Manage within master timing charts with corrective actions and recovery plans identified where needed.
- Review Workstation Readiness during each program milestone and work to close out open issue by coordinating trades and materials, creating AutoCAD layouts, drawings, and working on assembly aids and error proofing
- Support all Production Trial Runs and daily Whiteboard meetings during Rate of Climb.
- Work on cycle time reduction actions and process rebalancing as needed.
Compensation:
$35/hr to $40/hr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

The Additive Manufacturing Engineer plays a key role in the Ricoh 3D for Healthcare team's goal of onboarding customers through the intake of projects including both partner production and patient-specific models. Responsibilities include interpretation of 3D models and CAD drawings, process translation and development, equipment validation, and material resourcing and characterization. The Additive Manufacturing Engineer translates the technical needs of the customer to the production team and develops new or enhances existing infrastructure to additively manufacture new products.
**Job Duties and Responsibilities**
Work with customers, engineering, and production teams to intake production orders, review for manufacturability, and process into production.
Support intake and implementation of production work: review/develop customer requirements, lead prototyping efforts, process development, write process documents, and transfer to production.
Lead projects to improve quality, process stability, and reduce cost while meeting customer requirements.
Develop knowledge in in-situ (live) monitoring of AM machine builds.
Analyze AM build failures and implement countermeasures.
Lead and perform new and existing product/process validations and support First Article Inspection.
Set up AM build jobs, run AM machines, and document the process clearly.
Write SOPs and work instructions for incoming contract manufacturing.
Ensure compliance with ASTM, ISO 13485, FDA, and other standards for medical device manufacturing.
Act as Subject Matter Expert for assigned processes; support audits (customer, ISO, FDA, internal).
Collaborate on the design/fabrication of jigs, tools, fixtures, gauges, and special equipment.
Drive continuous improvement activities focusing on quality, efficiency, and cost reduction.
Participate in new product pre-production meetings to ensure readiness of manufacturing processes.
Review and monitor quality and process improvements across manufacturing, supply chain, and QA.
Develop, implement, and manage PFMEAs and risk mitigation strategies.
Manage project responsibilities: development, documentation, operator training.
Collaborate with Quality Engineering to develop quality plans ensuring GMP compliance.
Operate 3D printers and post-processing equipment (alkaline baths, pressure blasters, UV chambers, etc.).
Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) for internal non-conformances and customer returns.
Develop inspection/validation steps and integrate into manufacturing instructions.
Support internal/external design projects and transition prototypes into production.
Write protocols, analyze test data, and generate validation reports (FEA, tolerance analysis, etc.).
Investigate production/product quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Coordinate with Sales on pricing, orders, and invoicing issues.
Build and maintain effective communication with co-workers, vendors, and customers.
Assist with data requests from regulatory departments (e.g., FDA 510K submissions).
Perform other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications)**
BS in Engineering; experience in medical 3D printing/additive manufacturing strongly preferred (equivalent experience considered).
Degree or certification in 3D printing or related field preferred.
2-4 years of experience in FDA-regulated or QMS environment producing medical devices required.
Proficiency in 3D CAD software and AM-related tools required.
Experience in contract manufacturing project management preferred.
Familiarity with standards: ASTM, ISO 9000, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, 21 CFR.
Proficiency with standard business software.

JOB SUMMARY

The Principal Additive Manufacturing Engineer will lead Poly6's initiatives to develop internal capability for producing 3D-printed sand cores for advanced casting processes. This role combines deep expertise in binder jetting processes, strong communication and collaboration skills, and a hands-on approach to technical problem solving. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead technical establishment of in-house 3D sand printing capability on ExOne and Voxeljet equipment.
  • Build and maintain should-cost models for 3D-printed sand cores
  • Work with OEM engineers and product teams to convert build specifications for 3D-printed sand core suppliers.
  • Lead sand core design modification, reducing part count and assembly labor for downstream foundry processes.
  • Conduct technical trials to optimize binder jetting parameters for silica-based sands.
  • Present technical findings to customers and executive audiences with clear, effective communication.
  • Document processes, technical learnings, and best practices to ensure knowledge capture and transfer.
  • Serve as the technical subject matter expert for both Poly6 and CPP in binder jetting of sand cores.


QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Materials Science, Manufacturing Engineering, or similar field. Master's degree preferred, or equivalent work experience for candidates with a high degree of field specific experience.
  • Experience : 8+ years of experience in binder jetting additive manufacturing, (ExOne and Voxeljet sand printing applications) or related applicable experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of CAD (e.g., SolidWorks), slicing/printing software (e.g., ExOne or Voxeljet platforms), and data tools (e.g., Excel, Python, or Minitab).
  • Other Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Proven understanding of sand-casting processes and casting design principles.
    • Skilled in cost modeling and economic analysis for manufacturing processes.

With direction from the Quality Manager, Cleveland Flow Path:

  • Applies the quality strategy and vision as defined for the organization.
  • Implements and improves the Quality System such as ISO9001 and IATF16949 and all its functions throughout the organization.
  • Supports the quality responsibility to existing and new products and their related processes to meet customer requirements (All references to customer within this document shall apply to internal & external customers).
  • Responsibility as a liaison between all Howmet Aerospace Cleveland Flowpath manufacturing processes and the customer.
  • Responsible for monitoring and improving the quality of our operational process and products with a strong understanding of quality tools to ensure compliance with the IATF16949.
  • Provide support to Howmet Aerospace external providers for incoming product issues and problem-solving techniques such as 8D, 7 Step, 5 WHY Principle, etc. and continuous improvement development as driven from Howmet's quality management systems and customer requirements.
  • Communicates with all levels of personnel within the organization. Supervision of quality personnel as assigned. Provide assistance as needed to the Quality manager role in their absence.

Major Activities & Key Challenges:
  • Responsible for support of Cleveland facilities for closure to all customer issues, concerns, and requests; and support as needed the rest of the Cleveland Flow Path locations.
  • Drives & implements the Quality Policy, develops, documents and maintains an effective Quality System in accordance with IATF16949 and customer requirements.
  • Executes goals, objectives and measurables for reviewing and monitoring the effectiveness of the Quality Management System.
  • Drives organizational improvement through reporting of the performance of the Quality System and quality issues (i.e. non-conformance, Cpk, audit results, corrective & preventive action, customer rejections, etc.) to management for use as a basis for continuous improvement. Attend daily and weekly meetings accordingly.
  • Applies knowledge in quality systems to drive disciplined systems and robust processes, and focused standardization of best practices; in conjunction with managing to a cohesive set of key performance metrics that provide objective insights into the health and effectiveness of our business operating system.
  • Manages risk mitigation and containment utilizing industry standards, while collaborating with the corporate legal, commercial, manufacturing and support teams to quickly resolve open customer and manufacturing issues typically with specific and broad legal implications for Cleveland Flow Path.
  • Supports APQP and launches of new wheel programs including prototype, FAI, MFS, and all PPAP elements as required.
  • Strong working k nowledge of Quality Management Systems such as ISO9001, IATF16949 and the ability to work with supply base to continuously improve their systems resulting in improved product/service quality and reduced cost. Provide support to the supplier management process as needed.
  • Provide training and development programs to support product and process quality, productivity, continuous improvement and safety performance.
  • Provide quality support for the evaluation, testing, analyzing, dispositioning, and improvements from warranty returns as applicable to Cleveland Flow Path processes (i.e., casting, forging, machining, finishing, coating and outsourced processes).

Our plants are the groundwork for GM and a hotbed of innovation. We need controls engineer interns to assist maintenance personnel in operation and maintenance of specialist equipment.
As a Controls Engineer Intern, you would be accountable for controls engineering and electrical support for industrial manufacturing equipment. These tasks would teach you electrical root causing analysis and problem solving as well as leadership skills to provide technical support and direction to support personnel/skilled trades within the organization. Quality and safety are extremely meaningful to us, so enforcing safe work practices is the highest priority and implementing objectives for ergonomics, health/safety, and housekeeping, which means that you would have to investigate system and equipment problems and provide technical input in problem resolution.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Leads electrical projects including new or operations improvements, and periodic repair and replacement
+ Participates in functional area plant meetings and related activities to represent engineering and to assist in reaching the plant's performance goals
+ Develops cost estimates, investment forecasts, business cases, appropriation requests and plans for minor project activity
+ Utilizes statistical methods for continuous improvement on plant systems
+ Develops and monitors planning timetables and projects schedules
+ Coordinates and communicates the development of changes to improve conditions for the assembly process
+ Programming of manufacturing technology (PLC, robotics, HMI)
+ Analyzes product, process and technology to determine the best methods of manufacture
+ Assists in the design and building of tools and equipment or recommends improvements to existing processes

**Mechanical Engineering Intern Position Summary**
Under general supervision of Sr. Engineers, the intern will complete a variety of assignments to provide general support to the Research and Development group and other disciplines interacting inside the Stage Gate process.
