**We are seeking a highly motivated, hands on, results oriented engineer.** The Manufacturing Engineer II will be responsible for the planning, development, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and processes for new and existing products (resilient metallic seals).
Primary responsibility will be to provide close engineering support to the Production floor. This support will include utilizing sound technical knowledge of materials, processes, techniques and products to improve on product performance and to reduce costs, to maximize production, and support new knowledge. The incumbent manages and documents projects effectively under minimal supervision by a technical leader, demonstrates an open and collaborative approach in all areas of responsibility, and seeks out others to enhance and streamline development and decision making.
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+ Work with the site team and operators to establish stable and repeatable manufacturing processes. Solve real time problems in processing with equipment and tooling. Implement workable solutions in both the short and long term so that failure modes are effectively understood and eliminated.
+ Support the development of all internal drawings and process control documentation for all new processes including work instructions, inspection plans, and engineering prints.
+ Project Management - Responsible for small to medium projects assigned. Project objectives involve the extension of present technology, involving improvement of products, processes and new knowledge with some level of complexity.
+ Use Solidworks software as required to design/modify and detail machining fixtures, tooling, and stampings tools. Ensure that the design meets customer print and specification requirements as required, and that the designs are optimized for safety, manufacturability, assembly, and production use.
+ Provide support to production and the tool room with tool/fixture designs, modifications, or assembly. Communicate the intent of the design or assembly to ease installation and use.
+ Ensure effective communication and collaboration with customers, sales, quality, operations, purchasing and planning to drive projects to completion within lead time and budget.
+ Regulatory documentation for validation, CAPA, and procedures.
+ Other projects as assigned.
The successful candidate should possess the following requirements:
+ A Bachelors degree in engineering or similar discipline is required.
+ Advanced technical knowledge associated with a Master's Degree would be a plus
+ 3+ years' work experience in an engineering capacity in a manufacturing environment.
+ Practical / Technical knowledge of Welding Engineering is advantageous.
+ Proven track record of project development and management.
+ Analytical, logical, and data driven with demonstrated troubleshooting skills as it relates to production equipment.
+ Understanding of lean principles and ability to implement improved processes
+ Working knowledge of health, safety and environmental best practices
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills.
+ Able to make independent decisions as well as operate in a team environment.
+ Strong Solid Works / AutoCAD skills.

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the national pay range for this position which is $79,500.00 to $23,500.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 10% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is 87,400.00 to 135,800.00. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.

**What You Will Do:**
The **Senior Product Manufacturing Engineer** will provide support to manufacturing operations and drive process improvement to improve first pass yield using Quality metrics and MRL elements such as PFMEA, Control Plan & Gage R&R as needed.
The Senior Product Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for then entire manufacturing value stream of a specific part or part family. The scope of this role will include Pratt & Whitney's internal shop and may also include supply chain support components on the assigned part family.

+ Troubleshoot and Resolve Operation shop floor issues for various manufacturing process by providing technical input; perform Root cause analysis and corrective actions on non-conforming product using statistical analysis tools and other methods as necessary.
+ Identify & implement process optimization & control methods to eliminate/prevent quality turn backs /escapes, increase throughput and reduce overall product costs.
+ Work with senior management for risk escalation and risk mitigation plans; work with product designers, tool designers, quality assurance, systems designers, and other stakeholders
+ Drive targeted manufacturing process optimization activities through MRL tools such as Value Stream Mapping and Process Flow Diagram, PFMEA, Control Plans, Measurement Systems Analysis, Yield & Cost curves and Qualification plan.
+ Support the project pipeline process to select, prioritize and scope projects to business objectives, integrated with other continuous improvement activities and CORE (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence) initiatives.
**Qualifications You Must Have:**

**What You Will Do:**
Provide support to manufacturing operations and drive process improvement to improve the company's quality and delivery signature utilizing quality metrics and MRL elements such as PFMEA, Control Plan & Gage R&R as needed. The Product ME will be responsible for a specific part or part family. The scope of this role will include PW internal shop and may also include supply chain support components.
Responsibilities:
+ With specific parts ownership, this role will provide direct support to the manufacturing shop floor and drive manufacturing process improvements across multiple process steps that spans the full value stream of the parts.
+ Provide focused & effective leadership in the advancement of MRL elements to drive manufacturing risk identification and mitigation to achieve superior quality performance as needed.
+ Identify & implement process optimization & control methods to eliminate/prevent quality turn backs /escapes and reduce overall product costs.
+ As a key member of the Integrated Product Team (IPT), significant interaction with product designers, tool designers, quality assurance, systems designers, and other stakeholders is required
+ Perform Root cause analysis and corrective actions on non-conforming product using statistical analysis tools and other methods as necessary.
+ Drive targeted manufacturing process optimization activities through MRL tools such as Value Stream Mapping and Process Flow Diagram, PFMEA, Control Plans, Measurement Systems Analysis, Yield & Cost curves and Qualification plan.
+ The discipline and follow-through to fully document problem statements, observations, conclusions, calculations and recommendations.
+ Work with senior management:
+ Support the project pipeline process to select, prioritize and scope projects to business objectives, integrated with other continuous improvement activities and ACE/CORE initiatives.
+ Schedule and facilitate periodic project reviews and ensure validation of MRL gate advancements. Use effective scorecards and metrics to ensure progress.
+ Lead significant projects critical to improve manufacturing process capability & quality performance
+ Represent the organization in various forums related to MRL execution. Develop standard work, procedures, and integrate industry-standard best practices.
+ Communicate lessons learned to:
+ Product development/engineering to enable implementation of design for variation (DFV) and robust design methods (DFSS).
+ Other operational organizations for read across implementation.
**Qualifications You Must Have:**
+ B.S. in Engineering or related field and minimum 7 years' experience in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field or 9+ years of relevant experience in Manufacturing Engineering environment.
+ Demonstrated technical proficiency in complex manufacturing activities
+ Demonstrated proficiency leading and managing a portfolio of cross functional projects
+ Effective team player with strong good interpersonal skills capable of influencing and getting cooperation and action from others.
+ Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written), work and relate with people at all levels of the organization and be self-sufficient.
+ Ability to encourage and motivate others to be successful.
+ Six Sigma project leadership/management/coaching experience preferred
+ Excellent knowledge of MS office computer software including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Able to use Minitab and other statistical software.
+ Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Proficiency in statistics, data analytics, DOE, and multivariate statistics.

+ Creation of master planning summary, tool planning, design and tryout, creation of work instructions, development of new process technologies, first piece tryout and delivery of development parts to meet program schedules.
+ Mentor newer team members as required.
