Job Summary

·    Prepares product for production and packages for distribution per specifications.

·    Assists packaging line as needed for operational support.

·    Cross-trained as packaging line operator for support as needed.

Job Accountabilities

·    Prepares packaging and shipping materials per customers’ specifications.

·    Determines method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures & routes.

·    Maintains clean and safe housekeeping for production, storage areas.

·    Receives materials and performs loading/unloading of incoming and outgoing materials.

·    Verifying and entering information on incoming and outgoing shipments in the PLEX system.

·    Drive forklift as necessary.

·    Performs minor maintenance/repair as needed.

·    Inventories materials and notifies supervisor as supplies are needed.

·    Assists in the completion of periodic physical inventories.

·    Trained for Packaging Line and works as part of Packaging Line Team as required, based on schedule needs.

·    Responsible for maintaining proper work instructions, understanding the department risk assessments and ensuring compliance with Chrysan’s QMS system.

·    Performs other duties as required.

Job Qualifications

·    Education: Bachelor’s Degree

·    Minimum Education: High School or equivalent Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education

·    A background check and drug test will be required for employment in this position

JOB SUMMARY:Responsible for applying principals of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures are maintained.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Prepares accurate and timely monthly and quarterly analyses according to the financial closing calendar.Prepares all account analysis (Flux file) & forecasting processes including the accuracy of standard costs, month end closing and any plant financial forecasts and projectionPrepares and inputs journal entries.Reviews books of original entry, general ledgers, and other subsidiary financial ledgers.Executes financial goals in partnership with plant and under the direction of ManagerPrepares and tracks CAPEX budget in comparison to actuals, along with disposal & cycle counts of assets.Responsible for the explanation of the plant performance, explaining all production variances on a monthly basis as well as participating in the proactive measures to reduce variances from standard cost.Reports variances to manager and prepare reporting standards in a manner that plant management can understand and take corrective action.Executes financial goals in partnership with plant and under the direction of Manager.Performs other duties as assigned by Manager.Regular and reliable attendance.Financial Operations & ControlsSupports plant management team to ensure that accountability for internal controls is clear and processes are documented.Establishes, modifies, documents, and coordinates the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures with corporate following corporate standards & policies.As directed by Manager, provides guidance to ensure that internal accounting controls are in place to protect company assets.REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred, or degree in Finance plus experience.Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.Minimum of 5 years of previous general ledger accounting experience, specifically in the manufacturing industry.Knowledge of accepted accounting practices and principles, economic principles, applicable laws, codes and regulations.Knowledge of financial systems, budgets, financial reporting, financial data analysis.Effective analytical skills to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.Effective communication skills.Ability to multi-task in a deadline driven environment.Ability to work independently to make decisions based on previously developed practices and procedures.Computer skills to include Microsoft D365 (SAP modern ERP systems) and MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Occasional domestic travel is required. MANUFACTURING PLANT ACCOUNTANT PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION:

The Manufacturing Plant Accountant role oversees and manages the financial aspects of manufacturing operations at Chance Aluminum. Implementing and maintaining cost accounting systems to track production costs, including direct labor, materials, and overhead expenses. Analyzing cost variances and identifying opportunities for cost reduction or efficiency improvement.

MANUFACTURING PLANT ACCOUNTANT RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for manufacturing activities.
• Create Manufacturing standard costs as needed.
• Generate reports specific to manufacturing operations, such as production costs, inventory valuation, and manufacturing performance metrics.
• Monitor and analyze production variances on a regular basis
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Monitor and control inventory levels to optimize working capital while ensuring adequate materials are available for production.
• Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes and cost efficiencies through data analysis and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets, ensure accuracy of financial data, and mitigate risks related to manufacturing operations.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making related to manufacturing investments, capacity planning, product pricing, and product profitability.
• Other duties as assigned.

MANUFACTURING PLANT ACCOUNTANT REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on cost accounting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.
• Experience with ERP systems and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.

MANUFACTURING PLANT ACCOUNTANT PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS :

Requires ability to work in an office and manufacturing environments. Physical conditions for positions: Sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, kneel, stoop, crouch, climb, grasp, ascend/descend stairs. Must have visual acuity, excellent mobility, good hearing, manual dexterity, good balance, ability to work a minimum of 8 hours, and wear the required personal protective equipment. Alternate: On-site in Orlando, FL (with regular travel to Williamsport, PA required)
