Job Description

The Manufacturing Worker Lead (MWLead) is responsible for overseeing daily functions while setting a high standard for the Manufacturing department while assisting the Manufacturing Supervisor in daily operations as needed under their direction. This individual must be able to perform all Manufacturing worker responsibilities and some SAP transactions at a high level while assisting, coaching, and mentoring Manufacturing Workers within the department.

* Ability to assist in and/or perform all pre-shift processes.
* Able to assist with and/or conduct the start of shift meetings in a professional manner.
* Can lead the team out on the floor with clear and concise direction.
* Perform and ensure that equipment checklists are completed at the start of the shift.
* Plan and set goals for the shift while consulting with the supervisor.
* Assign equipment and tasks based on the workload.
* Communicate with the supervisor throughout the shift.
* Lead by example and maintain high levels of production and quality.
* Fill in for the supervisor in their absence.
* Use wireless RF device or desktop computer to perform all necessary functions.
* Ensures inventory accuracy for items and locations.
* Participates in cycle counting and Physical Inventory.
* Ability to inspect, use and maintain equipment in good working order.
* Ensure that all pallets and items are clearly and accurately labeled.
* Completes all paperwork pertaining to inventory such as breakage/damage list and work order info.
* Responsible for helping to maintain a clean, safe and organized working environment.
* Load and unload trucks.
* Perform all functions related to work order processes in SAP.
* Participate in disciplinary actions as needed.
* Promote a culture of safety within the Manufacturing department, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
* Use Radio Frequency (RF) device and SAP to perform systematic functions related to the receiving, scanning, storing, and replenishment of inbound material.
* Verify received goods match purchase orders, packing lists, and invoices.

Qualifications

* High School Diploma or GED.
* 2+ years previous warehouse/distribution experience.
* Ability to read and write in English.
* Sit-down Forklift and Reach Truck experience required. Current certification or ability to be certified within 30 days of start date.
* Basic organizational, mathematical, and computer skills.
* Knowledge of proper safety measures.
* Ability to manually move and lift 50 lbs. regularly and frequently up to and over 100 lbs.
* Ability to work at varying heights.
* Ability to stand frequently as well as the ability to walk, sit, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
* Ability to work independently or with a group.

**The Opportunity**

Winco Windows is currently looking to hire a full-time Manufacturing Lead or Supervisor in Training.

Skills desired for an applicant.
  • Able to work from 7:00am to 3:30pm for day shift or 3:30pm to 12:00am night shift as well as having the ability to work overtime on Saturdays and able to lift 50lbs multiple times an hour and work in a factory setting.
  • Able to understand plans and technical drawings of part and products.
  • Excellent skills with hand tools: hammer/mallet, screw gun, drill, caulk gun, miter saw, and any other common hand tool as well as the ability to understand and communicate fractional measurements.
  • Able to organize and lead 5-6 people in assembly of multiple product lines.
  • Must have attention to quality and detail as well as basic computer skills.
  • Must pass Drug and Alcohol screening.

Past work experience
  • 3+ years' experience in skilled labor fields: construction, machining, assembly line, etc.
  • 2+ years' experience in a supervisor role working with a minimum of 4 people

The factory is located in University City
Your work day will include two 10 min breaks on in the morning and one in the afternoon with a 30 min lunch break. Parking on the property is available and there are vending machines in the building. The facility is within walking distance of both Metro Link and Metro Bus stops.

All Full Time Employees are eligible for one week of vacation after 6 months of service and two weeks after one year of continues employment. After 2 years employees receive 3 weeks of vacation. Sick pay is available after 90 days of employment.
