The planner will be responsible for scheduling and coordinating the production activities of the hot dip galvanizing lines for both Cleveland Works and Columbus Coatings to ensure efficient utilization of resources, on-time delivery of products, and alignment with customer and quality requirements at both facilities. This role requires strong coordination between production, quality, maintenance, and logistics.

Summary of Responsibilities:

* Develop and maintain daily schedules and weekly / monthly production plans for two hot dip galvanizing lines


* Balance production priorities, unit capacities, and inventory availability to meet customer demands


* Monitor the execution of the production schedules and plans and adjust as needed due to machine downtime, material shortages, or quality issues


* Work with expeditors and Commercial to ensure schedules are meeting customer requirements


* Collaborate with maintenance to plan and accommodate preventative maintenance and reduce unplanned downtime


* Utilize Microsoft Excel and Power Bi to analyze production data and generate reports on productivity, efficiency, and on-time delivery performance


* Participate in daily operational meetings for both units and in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize line efficiency, reduce waste, and improve throughout


* Available for periodic weekend and holiday coverage

Summary

Drive the planning and inventory processes, tools and applications for the site/function. Advance subject matter expertise of planning and inventory management processes, tools and application. Detailed Description

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

* Drives team to manage material shortages to ensure Clear to Builds in collaboration with the Purchasing and SLM Team.
* Supports the team being the liaison between customer project management and internal departments on the introduction of new product requirements.
* Ensures the team performs a timely and accurate demand management process (If the demand is managed by the Planning Team at your Site).
* Ensures proper Excess, Surplus and Obsolete inventory.
* Ensures team identifies the impact of excess and obsolescence and drives necessary actions to mitigate it.
* Ensures bills of material are accurate and collaborate with other teams on any engineering changes.
* Collaborates with different stakeholders to achieve Inventory Entitlement targets and drive results.
* Drives actions to meet the Inventory goals (Inventory cash adjusted and Turns), including performing accurate Inventory Projection.
* Leads the team to maintain continuous Material Supply to achieve the targeted inventory levels and turns.
* Ensures the team Performs material and capacity analysis before loading MPS. Monitor MPS accuracy, attainment and level load metrics and drive necessary actions to improve them.
* Validates that the team Performs Financial Impact Analysis (FIA) to mitigate inventory risk before loading MPS.
* Works with other departments to review and dispose of non-conforming materials.
* Ensures production schedules to meet the customer requirements to achieve high levels of on time delivery.
* Ensures proper POR including OAR management and timely execution.
* Drives necessary actions to meet revenue goals.

The company is looking to hire a Planning Analyst within the Manufacturing Planning - Corporate Planning department. This is an on-site position located in Cleveland, OH. Responsible for aligning external (captive or contract) manufacturing capabilities with company goals, optimizing internal supply chains, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
