**Basic Qualifications:**

Must possess a minimum of 5 years of planning experience OR equivalent experience in manufacturing / engineering documentation development and have demonstrated ability to create comprehensive work instructions related to one or more: machine parts, composite details, composite assemblies, airframe structures, aircraft systems, aircraft check-outs, wiring and electrical systems, plumbing, aircraft maintenance, MRB or coatings.

To read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and other applicable references. Technical writing proficiency. Detailed knowledge of fabrication, tooling, manufacturing and inspection methods or processes pertaining to aircraft parts, assemblies, systems, or vehicles. to utilize computer applications such as required SAP, MS Office, CAPP/SFM and model-based engineering systems such as iBASEt, Teamcenter, 3DX.

Understand basic structure of the following: Engineering Bill Of Materials (EBOM), Manufacturing Bill Of Materials (MBOM), and Order Bill Of Materials (OBOM)

**Desired Skills:**

Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to resolve issues related to EBOM, MBOM, and OBOM.

Familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided engineering (CAE) tools, such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or CATIA.

Job Description

Cleveland-Cliffs has an immediate need for a Planner in the Manufacturing Planning department located at our Cleveland Works facility. The planner will be responsible for scheduling and coordinating the production activities of the hot dip galvanizing lines for both Cleveland Works and Columbus Coatings to ensure efficient utilization of resources, on-time delivery of products, and alignment with customer and quality requirements at both facilities. This role requires strong coordination between production, quality, maintenance, and logistics.

Summary of Responsibilities:

* Develop and maintain daily schedules and weekly / monthly production plans for two hot dip galvanizing lines


* Balance production priorities, unit capacities, and inventory availability to meet customer demands


* Monitor the execution of the production schedules and plans and adjust as needed due to machine downtime, material shortages, or quality issues


* Work with expeditors and Commercial to ensure schedules are meeting customer requirements


* Collaborate with maintenance to plan and accommodate preventative maintenance and reduce unplanned downtime


* Utilize Microsoft Excel and Power Bi to analyze production data and generate reports on productivity, efficiency, and on-time delivery performance


* Participate in daily operational meetings for both units and in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize line efficiency, reduce waste, and improve throughout


* Available for periodic weekend and holiday coverage


* Other ad hoc duties as requested



Minimum Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree


* Ability to demonstrate analytical skills, troubleshooting and strategic thinking


* Possess strong attention to detail


* Be reasonably proficient in Microsoft Office


* Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.



Preferred Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or Operations

Job Summary

Responsible for aligning external (captive or contract) manufacturing capabilities with company goals, optimizing internal supply chains, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This new role will collaborate closely with internal sourcing and procurement teams, along with partnering with external manufacturing companies to ensure efficient production, quality assurance, and cost-effective processes.

Job Responsibilities

* Operational Leadership: Manage day-to-day operations of captive manufacturing units with a long-term perspective. Ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery timelines are met while fostering collaborative relationships with external manufacturing partners.
* Strategic Planning: Develop and implement manufacturing strategies that align with an in-depth knowledge of corporate objectives, including capacity planning, resource allocation, and technology upgrades.
* End to End Supply Planning: Setup, oversee, and optimize end to end supply planning from manufacturing to delivery, including lead time management, inventory planning, customs clearance, etc.
* Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with senior management or executive levels in Owned Brand Sourcing, R&D, procurement, quality, and logistics teams to ensure seamless integration of captive manufacturing into the broader supply chain. Requires the ability to change things or gain acceptance from others in sensitive situations, without damage to the relationship.
* Cost Management: Monitor and control manufacturing costs, including labor, materials, and overhead, and adhere to budgets.
* Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and environmental standards within the manufacturing facility.
* Team Development: Develops and mentors a team of supervisors, engineers, and technicians through on-boarding, open communication, training and development opportunities and performance management processes; builds and maintains employee morale and motivation; ensures the team is appropriately staffed with required competencies; fosters a diverse and inclusive workplace.

* Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, industrial management, supply chain or related field.
* Experience in manufacturing operations and supply planning.
* Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in ERP systems and manufacturing analytics tools.
* At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace
* At least 2 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross- functional team leadership.
* Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state)

Preferred Qualifications

* Master's degree in engineering, manufacturing, industrial management, supply chain or related field.
* Experience in captive, contact, or vertically integrated manufacturing environments (highly desirable.)
* Experience in automation and digital manufacturing technologies.
* Familiarity with sustainability and green manufacturing practices.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
