We are Aero Transportation Products (ATP), a business organization part of the great Wabtec Corporation. Established in 1979 and purchased by Wabtec in 2017, our organization has supported the Agriculture and Industrial arena as an innovator in the rail industry for 45 years. We have designed and built products that both feed and house everyone throughout North America and are working on new products for applications in Europe and beyond.
Who will you be working with?
This position is part of ATP, which includes sites located in Independence, MO and in McPherson, KS. Our Independence site is based in an underground industrial complex customized for Fiberglass production. The McPherson site is a metal fabrication and weld shop, in the picturesque setting of America's Heartland. The ATP team is comprised of a diverse group from varying backgrounds, all motivated by an enjoyable and positive work culture. ATP team members primarily support the production of steel and aluminum hatch covers and gates for Wabtec's Freight Components division.
Please note that this requisition is an Evergreen posting, meaning that it will remain posted indefinitely to serve as a candidate talent pool.
This role is specific to the Independence, MO location.
How will you make a difference?
As a member of the Independence-based team, you will be responsible for the general assembly of products in accordance with product specifications, engineering drawings, and quality procedures. You will be cross trained in a variety of tasks, including building products using fiberglass, resins, and hard structural materials. Your training will also include the use of a variety of hand and pneumatic tools. You will report directly to the Production Supervisor or Manufacturing Supervisor, as well as the Plant Manager.

**Responsibilities**
+ The Manufacturing Technician 2 at the Broadway site is responsible for setting up and preparing products according to current manufacturing procedures, cleaning up equipment and manufacturing suites after production operations, complete batch records during the production of products, and always follow all safety and quality policies. Just duties include:
+ Set-up and operation of processing equipment such as Filter Integrity testing, Watson Marlow pumps, Autoclaves, and High throughput Bag Line.
+ Delivers products to Warehouse via motorized pallet jack.
+ Perform production operations, such as, Hand fill, prepping fill equipment and Aseptic gowning and qualification.
+ Clean up equipment and working areas after production operations.
+ Coordinate appropriate disposal of waste and complete compliance documentation
+ Communicate the status of production operations/equipment and bring deviations to attention of supervisor.
+ Provide a complete and accurate batch record at the conclusion of production operations consistent with quality guidelines.
+ Execute batch records in SAP.
+ Ensure all applicable logbooks have been filled out completely.
+ Follow production procedures and safety policies at all time.
+ Use, clean, and store all personal protective gear appropriately.
+ Label all in process equipment and containers properly.
+ Take action and resolve any unsafe conditions.
+ Participate in safety and quality training activities.
+ Supporting all activities of Manufacturing Tech 1, communicate and document status processes, products, and equipment.
+ Perform In-Process assays.
+ Setup, dispense, and package technically challenging products.

**Location:** St. Louis, MO
**Shift:** 3rd shift - Mon, Tues, Wed, and Thurs (10 hour shifts) 10pm - 8:30am the next day. (4 x 10), Training will be on first shift for 2-3 months. Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm.
**What's the Job?**
+ Set up and operate processing equipment such as Filter Integrity testing, Watson Marlow pumps, Autoclaves, and High throughput Bag Line
+ Deliver products to Warehouse using motorized pallet jacks
+ Perform production operations including hand filling, prepping fill equipment, and aseptic gowning and qualification
+ Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas after production activities
+ Complete batch records accurately and ensure compliance with safety and quality policies
**What's Needed?**
+ High School Diploma or GED
+ At least 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred
+ Knowledge of chemistry, mathematics, and science principles
+ Experience with aseptic techniques and safe chemical handling methods
+ Effective communication skills, both oral and written

Manufacturing Engineer
Position Summary
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for leading the development, optimization, and support of manufacturing processes across assigned production areas. This role provides technical expertise, project leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to improve efficiency, reduce costs, enhance product quality, and support new product introductions. The position requires strong problem-solving ability, experience with advanced manufacturing methods, and the capability to drive continuous improvement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead manufacturing and process engineering activities for designated production lines, including support for new product launches, equipment installations, and process validations.
- Evaluate and improve existing processes to increase throughput, reduce scrap, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Develop and maintain process documentation such as PFMEAs, control plans, standard operating procedures, and validation protocols.
- Conduct detailed root cause analyses for production and quality issues, implement corrective actions, and ensure long-term process stability.
- Collaborate with Product Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Operations teams to ensure manufacturability and effective product launches.
- Prepare and justify capital equipment requests, including cost-benefit analysis and ROI evaluation.
- Support and drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to technicians and operators.
- Monitor production performance through data collection, statistical analysis, and process audits.
- Hands-on troubleshooting of equipment and processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned; minimal travel may be required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes, automation, and production systems.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor) and statistical analysis tools (Minitab or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodology, and structured problem-solving approaches (e.g., 8D, DMAIC).
- Ability to balance multiple projects, set priorities, and deliver results under tight timelines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; data analysis and interpretation to support decision making.

Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related Engineering discipline required.
- Experience in a manufacturing or production engineering environment, preferably within high-volume or automotive manufacturing.
- Experience leading capital projects, new equipment installations, or process improvement initiatives required.
- Professional certifications (Lean Six Sigma, PMP, etc.) preferred but not required.

Job Summary
Leonardo DRS Land Systems is seeking multiple Level II Manufacturing Technicians for our Bridgeton, MO facility. This position will be responsible for building electro-mechanical assemblies per blueprints, schematics, and company standards. The ideal candidate will have experience using basic hand tools such as ratchets, screw drivers and wrenches.
Job Responsibilities

Perform electro-mechanical assembly, disassembly and rework

Provide technical support to engineers and scientist on moderately complex components, devices, material, products, processes and/or equipment

Responsible for testing, modifying, reworking, and repairing electronic, optical and mechanical assemblies

Design and test prototype assemblies and production units

Work from complex wiring and assembly drawings, operation sheets, engineering specifications and sketches and running sheets

Use judgment in re-working or re-wiring to bring unit within quality control specifications

The expected pay scale for this position is $39,933.00/year - $57,104.00 /year for the state of Illinois.
