Position Summary
Our Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for advanced line support to maintain production performance, site capital project management, supporting engineering in major initiatives and new product development, and leading reliability & maintenance strategy and education for the plant. + Participate in site predictive/preventative engineering policies
+ Lead root cause analysis and implementation of long-term solutions to prevent recurrences, manage KPI's including run hours, MTBF, and cost to repair
+ Lead reliability deep dive analysis, analyze trends and develop projects to address issues of concern, supporting continuous, sustainable improvement
+ Lead development and execution of projects as PM, Project Engineer, Subject Matter Expert
+ Focus on equipment and systems upgrades in safety, quality, cost reductions, productivity
+ Full scope in Project Management and reporting; Development, Justification, Approval, Design, Procurement, Construction, Commission, Start-up, Training, Closure
+ Provide subject matter support to cross functional teams for corporate projects and new product initiatives/introductions
+ Develop and implement standards and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed in the company
+ Development and training of production staff in manufacturing processes

Essential Skills

+ 3-5 years of experience working as an engineer in a regulated industry.

+ Proficiency in process improvement, continuous improvement, and lean manufacturing.
+ Experience with root cause analysis and validation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine products is a plus (cleanroom processing, aseptic technique, tissue preservation, AATB standards).
+ A Master's degree is advantageous.
+ Experience with the Blue Mountain software platform, a specialized software designed for life sciences manufacturers to manage equipment, maintenance, and compliance.

**Job Duties**
+ Support current process technology and implement improvements to department/plant operations based upon manufacturing engineering analysis of existing operations compared to future requirements based on capacity, cost reduction, safety and/or risk avoidance opportunities.
+ Help to prepare project justification including recommendations, make-vs-buy analysis, layout, cost impact and schedule activities as required. Implementation of processes including equipment procurement, coordination of installation, process capability prove-out, training, process documentation, work standard measurement and production start-up.
+ Contribute to the product introduction process.
+ Review production problems as they are identified and implement solutions. Develop, implement and update documentation and training
+ Develop reports, project briefings and management presentations. Perform other duties as assigned.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ 8-15 years related experience
+ High School graduate or equivalent
+ Job requires employee to drive a personal vehicle to conduct company business <20% per week (8 hours) and/or travel locally between company locations during scheduled workday.
+ Must demonstrate good communication skills amongst shop floor, support staff, and plant leadership.
+ Must be able to lead and execute small teams and projects.
+ Requires good organizational and interpersonal skills, and the ability to train others
+ Per 8-hour shift. Sit 8 hours and stand 0 hours. Typical office environment (low noise level, limited exposure hot/cold temperatures, dust, fumes, and vibrations). Regular interaction with others and performs a degree of independent work. Physical and mental demands are akin to the majority of office positions with prolonged periods of sitting and prolonged use of a computer/keyboard. Infrequent lifting, walking and climbing stairs. Occasional use of office equipment (copiers, printers, etc.).
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Certain technical skills and training such as CNC programming, CAD layout, geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T), process capability theory and statistical process control (SPC) may be required.
