**Job Description**
Danfoss is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer whose primary responsibility will be to design and implement processes to enable the organization to meet targets for both existing and new products in a continuous improvement manufacturing environment. The Manufacturing Engineer will be a part of a team that closely works with employees to achieve key performance indicators for safety, quality, delivery and cost.
This role will work daily out of our Shawnee, Oklahoma facility and will report to the Senior Manufacturing Engineering Manager. Relocation for this role may be available. However, support for work authorization cannot be provided.
**Job Responsibilities**
· Support and actively participate in the development of products, manufacturing processes, and infrastructure.
· Designs, implements, and improves manufacturing processes using Lean tools such as line balancing, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, Root Cause Analysis, Standard Work, and Value Stream Mapping.
· Analyses and plans workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
· Willing to be hands-on, flexible, and committed to the success of the company goals.
· Develop production testers to ensure system performance.
· Influence, lead, and work in cooperation with cross-functional teams to meet changing demands.
· Evaluates and implements new technologies within manufacturing and automation.
· Confers with planning and design teams concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods and design for automation.
· Project management - plan development and execution.
· Facilitate project meetings with appropriate business content and cascading communication
· Collaborates with suppliers to determine product specifications, arranges equipment, materials or parts for purchase, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
· Have a strong shop floor presence.
· Respond to escalations and help to resolve issues quickly.
· Foster a continuous improvement culture
**Background & Skills**
+ BSME, BSIE, BSAE, or degree in related fields.
+ Five years minimum experience in manufacturing processes with proven success in implementing process or product improvements using advanced quality tools and/or lean manufacturing concepts.
+ Understanding of finance, capital appropriations, and budgeting practices
+ Ability to work in a team atmosphere and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously be self-motivated, and eager to accept new responsibilities.
**Work Environment:**
While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately high.

Description
Job Description Perform detailed engineering activities necessary to economically manufacture and assemble components, including selecting methods, tooling, gaging, and equipment to produce components specified by marketing and product engineering. Essential Functions - Coordinate manufacturing feasibility of new or existing products and recommend methods for manufacturing economies. - Determine what machining method is most effective for the required product finish, tolerance, and quality. Also determine what assembly method is the most effective to build a quality product. - Give technical direction for initiating and maintaining production capability of assigned components. - Direct the procurement of specialized tools, fixtures and gauges by evaluating design concepts, initiating tool orders, and justifying expenditures. Support tooling, setup & related production requirements. - Establish processes including programming of CNC machines, requesting and approving tooling and equipment, and originating operation instruction sheets in order to produce the product in a safe and economical manner. - Provide manufacturing support documentation necessary for each operation. - Maintain knowledge of current and emerging technology through professional societies, periodicals, and vendor contacts. - Analyze the manufacturing impact of vendor evaluations and participate in vendor selection decisions. - Understand and drive the implementation of all appropriate elements of the Lean System. - Maintain a constant search for identifiable and measurable cost reductions through scrap analysis, technology applications, design modifications, and improved labor utilization. Prepare cost estimates and justifications, as necessary. - Recommend DMR disposition and rework procedures. - Provide shop support for tooling, setup, and production requirements. - Assist Supervisors in areas of responsibility in training new employees. - Provide necessary interdepartmental communication between Engineering Production, Production Control, and others to accomplish assigned goals and objectives. - Provide assistance & support to production supervisors in areas of employee on-the-job training needs. - Perform other related tasks and assignments, as necessary. + **Proactive Shortage Management:** Monitor supplier performance to identify potential part shortages weeks in advance. Develop and implement recovery plans to mitigate supply chain risks and ensure consistent part coverage.

+ **Sub-Tier Process Oversight:** Manage supplier sub-tier processes, including specialized operations like coatings, peening, non-destructive testing (NDT), and other critical services to ensure compliance with quality and delivery standards.

The base pay range for this position is $121,500 to $200,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
