We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Manufacturing Engineer to perform detailed engineering activities necessary for the efficient and cost-effective manufacturing and assembly of components. This includes selecting methods, tooling, gaging, and equipment to produce components as specified by marketing and product engineering.
Responsibilities
+ Coordinate the manufacturing feasibility of new or existing products and recommend methods for manufacturing economies.
+ Determine the most effective machining and assembly methods to ensure product finish, tolerance, and quality.
+ Provide technical direction for initiating and maintaining production capability of assigned components.
+ Direct the procurement of specialized tools, fixtures, and gauges by evaluating design concepts, initiating tool orders, and justifying expenditures.
+ Establish processes, including programming of CNC machines, requesting and approving tooling and equipment, and originating operation instruction sheets to produce the product safely and economically.
+ Provide manufacturing support documentation necessary for each operation.
+ Maintain knowledge of current and emerging technology through professional societies, periodicals, and vendor contacts.
+ Analyze the manufacturing impact of vendor evaluations and participate in vendor selection decisions.
+ Understand and drive the implementation of all appropriate elements of the Lean System.
+ Search for identifiable and measurable cost reductions through scrap analysis, technology applications, design modifications, and improved labor utilization. Prepare cost estimates and justifications as necessary.
+ Recommend DMR disposition and rework procedures.
+ Provide shop support for tooling, setup, and production requirements.
+ Assist Supervisors in areas of responsibility in training new employees.
+ Facilitate interdepartmental communication between Engineering, Production, Production Control, and others to accomplish assigned goals and objectives.
+ Assist and support production supervisors in employee on-the-job training needs.
+ Perform other related tasks and assignments as necessary.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
+ 2+ years of manufacturing engineering experience with technical knowledge of CNC machining, tooling, tool design, and gaging for metal cutting applications.
+ Proficiency in CAD software, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, etc.
+ Strong experience in supporting and implementing lean manufacturing concepts and Six Sigma activities.
+ Ability to work and communicate effectively with others.
+ Capability to optimize time management, prioritize tasks, and function in a highly organized manner.
+ Technical writing ability and self-direction.
+ Leadership skills in managing multi-functional teams.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering preferred.
+ Knowledge of LEAN Manufacturing tools.
+ Ability to drive several major projects at once while establishing and changing priorities as conditions dictate.
Work Environment
This position is based in an on-site manufacturing environment with up to 10% travel required. You will be joining a team of engineers within a leading company in the manufacturing of powertrain and engine systems for multiple industries.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.

**Job Description**
Danfoss is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer whose primary responsibility will be to design and implement processes to enable the organization to meet targets for both existing and new products in a continuous improvement manufacturing environment. The Manufacturing Engineer will be a part of a team that closely works with employees to achieve key performance indicators for safety, quality, delivery and cost.
This role will work daily out of our Shawnee, Oklahoma facility and will report to the Senior Manufacturing Engineering Manager. Relocation for this role may be available. However, support for work authorization cannot be provided.
**Job Responsibilities**
· Support and actively participate in the development of products, manufacturing processes, and infrastructure.
· Designs, implements, and improves manufacturing processes using Lean tools such as line balancing, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, Root Cause Analysis, Standard Work, and Value Stream Mapping.
· Analyses and plans workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
· Willing to be hands-on, flexible, and committed to the success of the company goals.
· Develop production testers to ensure system performance.
· Influence, lead, and work in cooperation with cross-functional teams to meet changing demands.
· Evaluates and implements new technologies within manufacturing and automation.
· Confers with planning and design teams concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods and design for automation.
· Project management - plan development and execution.
· Facilitate project meetings with appropriate business content and cascading communication
· Collaborates with suppliers to determine product specifications, arranges equipment, materials or parts for purchase, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.

**Background & Skills**
+ BSME, BSIE, BSAE, or degree in related fields.
+ Five years minimum experience in manufacturing processes with proven success in implementing process or product improvements using advanced quality tools and/or lean manufacturing concepts.
+ Understanding of finance, capital appropriations, and budgeting practices
+ Ability to work in a team atmosphere and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.

**Work Environment:**
