Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supports manufacturing by maintaining daily tasks to increase the efficiency and workflow or manufacturing area while also assisting facilities maintenance to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
- Monitor the production floor for chip hoppers than need removal
- Remove and replace full chip hoppers to ensure continuous operation
- Drain coolant from chips in chip hopper per work instruction
- Transport recycled coolant from chip hopper to appropriate location
- Transport chips from hopper to appropriate box per work instruction
- Maintain work area where chips are transported and stored per company standards
- Monitor the production floor for machines requiring coolant per preventive maintenance placard
- Add coolant per work instruction based on preventive maintenance placard recommendation
- Perform evaluation per instruction to ensure the quality of coolant in use
- Clean work area and store necessary items properly (coolant, hose, etc.) once completed
- Maintain work area, where coolant and supplies are stored, per company standards
- Gather spindle hour information per monthly schedule to assist in preventative maintenance scheduling
- Complete facilities maintenance projects as assigned to ensure safe and productive work environment
- Proactively seek out improvements to facilities in regards to safety and 5s opportunities
- Complete corrective action of assigned near misses and document results
- Complete pre-maintenance tasks on equipment to prepare equipment for Maintenance Technician
- Assist Maintenance Technician as required on equipment maintenance activities
- Act as a liaison/host for external service providers
- Complete assigned 5S and company improvement projects
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to organize workflow and remain focused on tasks
- Ability to achieve scheduled deadlines and communicate bottlenecks that impede workflow

Job Description Summary:
Krystal Biotech, Inc is seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Support Technician to support our commercial manufacturing facility in the South Side. The Technician will work closely with the manufacturing team to uphold cleanroom standards, follow strict procedures, and contribute to the smooth operation of all manufacturing processes.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in the setup, breakdown, and cleaning of equipment and manufacturing areas before and after production runs
- Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to ensure that facilities are prepared and ready for production activities as per schedule
- Execute and maintain strict cleaning and sanitization protocols in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Conduct routine inspections of cleanrooms to identify any cleanliness or contamination issues, promptly reporting and addressing them according to established procedures
- Follow and document all procedures, including batch records, cleaning logs, and any other required documentation accurately and in a timely manner
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous waste materials
- Support the maintenance of process gas levels, calibration of equipment, and preventative maintenance schedules
- Participate in training sessions and meetings to stay updated on the latest industry standards, regulations, and best practices
- Assist with movement of materials; work with EHS/Materials Teams for collection and dispensing of biohazardous waste
- Support a standard 40-hour work week with flexibility to support occasional off-shift hours and/or weekends
- Perform other tasks, as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional technical or vocational training in biopharma manufacturing, cleanroom operations, or related fields is a plus

Job Summary
The primary purpose of this job is to perform a wide range of functions such as installation, maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment and systems. 2. Performs mechanical maintenance, service and repairs to production equipment. May perform basic electrical and controls troubleshooting.
3. Performs preventative and unscheduled maintenance duties on equipment.
4. May assist manufacturing engineers in the qualification, debugging, and repair of equipment, including nonroutine assignments and technical support.
5. Ensures appropriate functionality, and operation of semi-automated and automated systems.
6. Performs troubleshooting of moderate complexity; repairs, modifies and maintains systems and/or equipment.
7. May derive and carry out testing methods and/or interpret drawing and specifications.
8. Responsible for communicating status of investigation activities to appropriate department stakeholders.
9. Monitors performance of equipment, machines and tools and correct equipment problems or process parameters that produce non-conforming products, low yields, or product quality issues.
10. May design, recommend, assemble, and install equipment/apparatus and processes for product fabrication, research and development or analysis and testing.
11. Contributes to the development and compliance of ISO and GMP quality system.
12. Under supervision, performs assignments of moderate complexity; receiving instructions on the method of execution, and specific expected results.
13. Documents tasks, PM results and or corrective actions in CMMS.

Job Requirements
Minimum Education: High School Diploma, Associates preferred
Minimum Experience: 3-5 year experience trouble shooting manufacturing equipment and systems(with HS Diploma) 2-3 year experience (Associate's)
Specialized Knowledge: Analytical Trouble Shooting. Ability to read technical drawings/prints. Technical writing skills. Strong mechanical/technical aptitude. Computer skills as required by stated accountabilities.

Salary $20.19-$29.61 plus 15% shift differential

**How you'll make an impact:**
- Execute experiments and tests (following protocols) to develop findings for the validation and improvement of equipment and manufacturing processes/methods based on engineering principles; analyze results, make recommendations, and develop reports for Engineering review. Operate a variety of test equipment to assess characteristics of the manufacturing environment
- Compile documentation for archives to ensure appropriate documentation for development work, including ECRs, SOPs, drawings, and tooling, for Engineering approval
- Consult with Engineers, Technicians, and Assemblers on processes to execute experiments and/or production runs. Support related to equipment investigations, testing, objective evidence of product dispositions and rework support work necessary.
- Utilize manufacturing software (e.g., JDE, QMS,PLM) to update documentation in systems
- Collaborate with Engineering in the development of training and documentation materials (e.g., work instructions) for production to enable the seamless knowledge transfer of project and manufacturing processes.
- Provide feedback to Engineering on potential opportunities for re-design/design of basic equipment, tools, fixtures, etc. to improve manufacturing processes.
- Other incidental duties (e.g. report writing and/or data collection)

- H.S. Diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of previous related experience, such as GMP, clean room, medical device, and experience with automated equipment

Job Summary: Oversee and manage the functions of Continuous Improvement, Engineering, Maintenance, Training and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) for the facility.
Core Job Responsibilities:
- Develop, coordinate and drive our operational excellence process, Lead cross-functional teams on continuous improvement events, engineering services and analyze various databases in operational areas to develop projects focused on reducing cycle times, lead times, inventory and inventory costs.
- Partner with facility leadership team to identify, investigate, recommend, develop and implement continuous improvement opportunities throughout the facility to eliminate waste and non-conforming product.
- Manage and facilitate training programs for production, warehouse and equipment for all personnel within the factory in regards to operations, safety and EHS. Lead the Safety Committee for location.
- Ensure compliance of equipment, products and procedures to the Quality Systems. Responsible for the development and implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance program and for daily execution of routine, urgent and emergency work orders ensuring the facility operations are performed in the most efficient and effective manner.
- Responsible to develop and maintain measurement systems to accurately track key maintenance performance parameters (machine uptime, change over times, DR's, PM programs, etc.) and implement corrective actions that resolve the problems and issues. - Review and approve monthly expenditures by the department to assure monthly and annual profitability.
- Analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements, equipment design and workspace layout for maximum operational efficiency.
- Develop and mentor staff through on-boarding, open communication, training and development opportunities and performance management processes; build and maintain employee morale and motivation; ensure the team is appropriately staffed with required competencies. Oversee and manage outside contractors.
Education:
Bachelor's degree
Relevant Work Experience:
- 3 years of experience managing people, including hiring, developing, motivating and directing people as they work.
- 5 years of manufacturing/maintenance experience.
- Experience with a CMMS.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or engineering related discipline.
- Technical Certifications - Six sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen experience, Black Belt certification (a Plus)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT, Access)
- Bilingual (English-Spanish)
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Experience applying knowledge of over structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and fire systems (a plus)
- Experience in safety.
- Must be able to work in hot temperatures 25% of the time.

The anticipated salary range for this position:
$90,480.00 - $135,720.00 Annual
The actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
