**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Injection Molding Process Technician to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving process issues related to injection molding machines, hot runner systems, and associated plastics processing equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of plastic injection molding operations and a proactive approach to continuous improvement and process optimization.
**Responsibilities**
+ Set up, start, and monitor injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
+ Diagnose and troubleshoot process issues including part defects, machine malfunctions, and hot runner system failures.
+ Perform mold changes, machine adjustments, and parameter tuning to ensure consistent product quality.
+ Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to implement process improvements and corrective actions.
+ Maintain accurate documentation of process settings, changes, and maintenance activities.
+ Conduct root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions to recurring issues.
+ Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and production standards.
+ Train operators and junior technicians on proper machine operation and troubleshooting techniques.
+ Troubleshoot molding process issues such as flash, short-shots, sinks, and splay.
+ Assist in performing mold changes and setups as required within scheduled mold change timeframes utilizing process and cycle sheets.
+ Perform programming of molding machine robot arms and work cell assembly stations equipment.
+ Change-out/purge and maintain material and central material feed systems as needed.
+ Troubleshoot mold problems, develop root causes, and provide quick permanent corrective actions or complete minor repairs.
+ Coordinate mold set-up activities with production schedules to minimize downtime and maximize production efficiencies.
**Essential Skills**
+ High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in manufacturing, plastics, or mechanical technology preferred.
+ 3+ years of experience in injection molding, with hands-on experience in troubleshooting and process optimization.
+ Strong knowledge of hot runner systems, mold setup, and thermoplastic materials.
+ Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, machine manuals, and process documentation.
+ Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Familiarity with lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
+ Basic knowledge of hand/power tools.
+ Minimum of 1 year experience as a process technician, installation, service, repair, mechanical, industrial.
+ General computer skills (typing, Microsoft 365, etc.).
+ 1+ years in a mold setup role.
+ 1+ years experience in diagrams, blueprints, schematics, gauges, and measuring instruments.
+ 1+ years experience troubleshooting mold problems, developing root causes, and providing quick permanent corrective actions.

**Work Environment**
Plastics industrial environment with closed doors and climate control. Work with new machinery and equipment in a warehouse facility. The company currently operates in a shared space but plans to obtain the full facility for operations. Shift Details: This is an off-shift position, requiring flexibility with 2nd and 3rd shift hours. Shift: Monday - Friday; 1st: 7 AM - 3 PM, 2nd: 3 PM - 11 PM, 3rd: 11 PM - 7 AM.

**Responsibilities**
**Safety**
+ Ensure personal safety and the safety of fellow employees

+ The Tech Mentee role is preparation for the Process Technician position, where "leadership by example" is key.
+ Complies with all EHS directives and follows all plant safety rules
+ This includes following all LOTO, department rules, and filling out all required safety documents

**Quality**
+ Ensure part quality on assigned machine meets or exceeds customer expectations

**Production**
+ Perform all duties of the Operator position
+ The primary function of the Mentee is that of the Operator
+ The Mentee will be scheduled on "off-line" Thermoforming machines, unless necessity dictates otherwise
+ Fill role of Process Technician if necessity dictates
+ Perform all duties of the Process Technician role (with assistance from the Training Staff and/or Leadership)
+ Assist in the recovery from downtime events on Thermoforming equipment
+ The Mentee will follow the direction of Thermoforming Technical Trainers and leadership in assisting with recovery from downtime events
+ Assist in the safe and efficient start-up and shut down of thermoforming lines
+ The Mentee should be assisting in the start-up (and shut down, if possible)
+ Work with support groups to troubleshoot & correct equipment issues
+ Cooperative relationship must exist between support groups and production to ensure efficient correction of machine issues
**Authorities**
+ Authority to operate production line equipment in thermoforming
+ Authority to progressively express concerns up the chain-of-command
+ Authority to scrap "in-process" product
+ If filling the role of the Process Technician
+ Authority to correct improper/ inadequate safety measures, SQF, or GMP

In our retread plants you will have the opportunity to support the retread process through various stages:
+ Inspect the tires to assess if they can be retread

+ Remove embedded objects, rust, and repair the tire casing
+ Using rubber cement or a patch, repair the casing before applying new tread
+ Building the tire by applying new tread
+ Curing the tire to mold the retread application

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Production Tech - Program Support to join our Program team! In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless flow of our manufacturing processes. **Your Day to Day as a Production Tech - Program Support**
Review workflow schedules to determine priorities and stage the appropriate tools and materials for upcoming processes. This may include providing input to production meetings, adjusting Ready-To-Work Dashboard, communicating resource needs, changing work orders, etc., to meet delivery requirements.
+ Review manufacturing plans daily to verify operations are signed complete, check for Quality Notifications (QNs) and/or Stop Notices.
+ Ensure manufacturing plans are delivered to the shop as scheduled.
+ Pull completed operations for partial upgrades and obtain manufacturing plans for final upgrades.
+ Work collaboratively with Operations to ensure availability of appropriate personnel to prepare parts, material, tooling, fixtures, etc., are staged for use when required.
+ Use reports from Planning/Scheduling software (P-6, Ready-To-Work Dashboard and SAP), tools and processes to support efficient and effective flow of fabrication to meet delivery requirements.
+ Provide status updates and input to key internal value stream stakeholders at all levels.
+ May be asked for assistance and input when value stream leaders are preparing communication updates, proposals and schedule recovery efforts.
**Required Qualifications:**
+ High School diploma or equivalent plus 5 years of experience in manufacturing environment.
+ Understanding of manufacturing plans and schedules.
+ Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and professionally, contribute to technical teams, and establish effective working relationships with other departments.
