Summary
Forge Nano Inc. is a fast-growing materials company with a focus on manufacturing nano-scale coatings across a wide range of markets. Forge Nano is seeking a Manufacturing Technician I to join our Manufacturing Team. This position covers a broad range of duties, including assembling new generation Atomic Layer Deposition equipment, testing equipment, completing documentation, providing continuous improvements, and helping with facility tasks.
The Manufacturing Technician I should be prepared to work in fast-paced, development and prototyping environment. The role requires a detail-oriented individual who is comfortable working with an interdisciplinary manufacturing team.
Skills and Responsibilities
The Manufacturing Technician I may be responsible for tasks and skills such as (non-exhaustive):
- Assemble ALD coating equipment: (Object, Powder or Semiconductor Wafer Coating Systems)
- Perform detailed assembly tasks including wiring, valve manifold assembly, riveting, and installing sensitive instrumentation.
- Develop skills in tube bending, vacuum fittings, and process connections.
- Follow necessary documentation for procedures, processes, and best-in-class methods, including work instructions, standard operating procedures, and completing relevant checklists
- Prepare work to be accomplished by studying bill of materials and P&IDs. Gather parts, sub-assemblies, tools, and materials. Position and secure components per print location. Verify specifications by measuring completed component.
- Operate equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Assist senior technicians with routine tasks.
- Perform general housekeeping, maintenance and organization of the production, machine shop, and warehouse areas.
- Support facility maintenance and improvements, such as hanging ductwork, routing tubing, etc.
- Maintain a safe work environment and stay OSHA compliant with relevant safety training
Experience and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Associates degree or certification related to technical skills in a manufacturing environment preferred, but not required
- Experience with hand tools and precision instruments
- Experience with Office Products: Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.
- 2-4+ years in Manufacturing Environment, preferably
- Experience with vacuum equipment, industrial automation, and industrial fabrication processes are all desirable skill sets
Work Environment
Work will be predominantly in a manufacturing environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be around or handling hazardous chemicals, and powders at times. The employee will be required to wear all appropriate safety equipment including but not limited to eye protection, gloves, steel toe shoes, lab coat, respirator and may require to wear a hard hat. Strict adherence to corporate and/or plant policies, rules and regulations in these areas is required.

Compensation/Benefits

The Injectable Technician I provides general support for the manufacturing department with a focus on injectable products, while ensuring that our products are made with quality for our patients.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform job in a HZ3/HZ4 clean room environment requiring appropriate gowning in each area.
- Assist in the set up and operation labeling equipment used to label pre-filled syringes and/or vials, including equipment in the sterile support areas.
- Assist in the set up and operation of semi-automatic packaging equipment used to package pre-filled syringes.
- Perform in-process sampling, testing and inspection on the packaging line.
- Assist for cleaning and environmental monitoring of process rooms.
- Perform setup/execution/cleanup of needle cleaning process.
- Ensure that product quality adheres to approved specifications.
- Perform job responsibilities in accordance with standard operation procedures (SOPs) and production records with an expectation of "Right the First Time."
- Participate in required annual hazardous waste training. Hazardous waste involvement may include, but is not limited to container and tank management and inspections, generation of hazardous waste as a part of production or sampling processes and transfer of hazardous waste between lab procedure area, satellite accumulation and storage. Respond to spills per the Chemical Spill Procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Working knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Procedures (cGMP).
- Interact with peers and members of other departments in team settings in a professional manner.
- Understanding of basic computer software.
- Ability to follow and understand production records and procedures.
- Understanding of basic math and writing skills to accurately document production activities in batch records and/or log books.
- Attention to detail is required for documentation in production documents.
- Capability to operate on a fast-paced manual assembly line using basic production equipment.
- Ability to manually assemble components.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours).
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to perform activities above your head.

Pay Range: $26.00 - $34.00 per hour Hours: Monday -Friday 2pm-10pm
Description: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repair, preventive maintenance, and installation of industrial process machinery. This is a position which requires proficiency in all industrial maintenance disciplines, troubleshooting, problem solving, logical thinking, PLC's, safety practices and all forms of communication. The Maintenance Technician must also exhibit a positive attitude and be self- motivated in all aspects of their responsibilities.
Essential Job Functions:
- Performing routine and preventive machine maintenance.
- Basic PLC knowledge and equipment wiring.
- Facility maintenance.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Mechanical - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Mathematics - Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and statistics.
- Electrical - Understanding of basic electrical principles and wiring of equipment.
- PLC - PLC Programming
- Technical Drawing - Ability to understand technical drawings as well as creating basic CAD drawings.
- Time Management - Managing your own time.
- Instructing - Must be able to teach others how to perform tasks.
- Repairing - Repairing machines as well as the facility.

Work Environment:
Primarily indoors in a climate-controlled manufacturing building with moderate noise levels. Employees frequently work on or around moving and heated equipment. Employees will be periodically working with machines that have electromagnetic fields that may interfere with pace makers.
Physical Demands While performing the responsibilities of the job:
- Ability to push 100 pounds (Equipment and Machinery); ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds (Motors and Transmissions). Ability to frequently lift up to 25 lbs.
- The ability to talk and hear to communicate, detect, discern, discuss, express oneself, and exchange information effectively and clearly.
- Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, stoop, or crawl into awkward spaces.
