Summary:

A Production Worker job in Temecula, CA, is available at Milgard Windows and Doors. In this role, youll have mechanical aptitude with the ability to use other hand tools. Additionally, you work directly with the department supervisor and department lead to seeing that all manufacturing orders are followed through properly to completion and are filled properly before the deadline. You must be able to perform tasks assigned in the construction of Vinyl Patio Doors in all phases of assembly.

Hourly starting compensation is $21.50. Monday through Friday starting at 5:00 a.m. with mandatory overtime.

• Package, wrap, and stack completed units for shipment
• Actively participate in problem solving and continuous improvement activities
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Ability to read and comprehend basic work instructions, standard procedures, and production orders
• Ability to perform basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to read and understand a basic tape measure to an increment of 1/16 inch
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a frequent and sustained basis
• Capability to stand and move frequently while performing repetitive assembly tasks
• Possess a collaborative, team-driven attitude. Team members rely on each other to complete required tasks in order to meet daily and weekly production schedules, and as a result a good attendance record and a team focus is critical
• Be quality and precision-driven, and able to follow all quality and safety requirements
• Have a customer service mentality and a strong desire to meet daily production goals so the organization can meet and exceed customer expectations
• Show strong reasoning and creative problem-solving skills to overcome production challenges
• Previous experience in a team assembly environment is preferred

Job Description

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Summary Under General supervision, work on the production line to build manufactured housing, as part of a team, and perform quality work at a fast moving and consistent manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Performs all manual labor in the area to which assigned.
• Keeps area neat and clean.
• Read and use a tape measure
• Read blue prints and orders
• Communicate well with coworkers
• Use hand tools, air tools, and electrical tools

Qualifications

• Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
